Motor ends redesigned so that line cannot trap itself, added a line tensioner.

It's not the bearings causing the slop, or rather it wasn't just the out of wound bearing sleeves, the issue is change between dynamic tension and static tension, which is a function of the long belt path.
I have a 3rd prototype which is much stiffer, where the line runs on actual bearings without sleeves, there is still an issue in motion in the X direction introducing skew to the motion. If you could get enough tension it shouldn't happen, but that much tension turns out to be impractical.
I have some parts for a 4th prototype which I'll assemble at some point, but I'm distracted by other things at the moment.

Very unstable motion, the yellow carriages clearly move when they should not, this happens when the orange carriage changes direction 0:48
Force racking. This is why people don't build hbot much any longer. It's impossible to build a play free bearing or bushing and the little distance that is there gets magnified by racking.

what firmware and board are you using?
I'm pretty sure at the time it was a RAMPS running Repetier.
+Rob Povey are there provisions in the firmware already or did you have to modify the configuration?
+dthomas6184 both Repetier and Marlin have supported hbot/core XY configurations for a long time, the math is trivial, there was a bug in the version of Repetier in use here, where it would not enable both motors, but it was workable, and likely the bugs are fixed in the current builds.
