Every time I hear Dave play I am more and more impressed. I just feel so lucky to have discovered them when I did bc they’re only going to continue to improve and grow and it’s so exciting to watch
This guy is a genius. I overheard my 6 year old singing "Heat Waves" about a week ago. He found it on youtube. It grabbed me. I thought it might be some Harry Styles kind of stuff. But oh no, Glass Animals are a vibe all their own. So good! This old hag is grooving. Can't wait to see what this guy does next. Funny I was thinking of learning Heat Waves, but after watching this, I might check out Youth. Such a sweet song. And I am mom to four sons. yep gonna learn and sing this one.
Hey, I know this comment is old but in light of their new album, I've been coming back to all their old stuff. I just wanted to say I hope you gave Youth that check out - its about a young mom giving her son up for adoption to give him a better life. It makes me cry every time. He really is a genius
@@cipresmartinez1182 THATS SO FUNNY! I was at that concert too, and I had only heard Take a Slice, Gooey, and Heatwaves, then I listened to EVERYTHING they ever made and became obsessed as well ahah!
@@emilyhart322 SAMEEE I was obsessed with Take a Slice and knew that they also sang Heatwaves and years ago I was obsessed with Gooey but I had no idea that it was from them, and then I heard them perform Gooey and I lost my mind!!!!
in the last couple of months , dreamland has quickly become maybe my favorite album of all time. im tearing up typing this because it fills me with so much emotion. there's the nostalgia that feels like finding my childhood ds and playing mario kart for the first time in years. the sadness of dysfunctional relationships, romantic and familial, and the happiness and excitement of the absolutely BANGIN music. truly an incredible album.
ahh same!! im literally obsessed with this album, its definitely my fav album of all time because i can relate with some of the songs and its just great overall :)
@@e.m.i.223 totally! And I love how all the different songs could work for so many different moods; sad: (domestic bliss) summer vibes: (Deja Vu, Tangerine), or even a vast otherworldly feeling like in Its All So Incredibly Loud and Dreamland! I just love it all
It's a shame that talented artists with a ULTRA surface level understanding of politics / social issues always feel that they need to speak on what's going on. I understand they are coming from a good place, but sometimes they should take a step back and think "hey I'm a music artist, that's why people like me, I'm not a political researcher or social justice hero"... All of these things didn't age well. Especially when none of the money donated to BLM was ever used to help blacks in need,, and was either used to fund Biden's campaign or embezzled by the directors to buy cars, houses and make their close family rich. I do love Dave, and I've seen glass animals live 4 times. But in the great words of Elvis “Honey, I'd just soon to keep my own personal views about that to myself? Cause I'm just an entertainer and I'd rather not say.”
r u serious rn? how do u have any idea what types of personal experiences dave has had to influence his views? if u don’t like that he doesn’t have the same views as u just say so. read his insta posts, he felt the need to speak up bc shit like that is still a serious issue & affects so many ppl even to this day, while also recognizing that he could never understand how it feels to be in the position other ppl are. i think lots of ppl need to take that as a lesson that u really can’t ever understand what other ppl are going through bc ur not the same as them, but that doesn’t mean that u can’t support them or speak up about an issue. dave chose to speak up bc he acknowledges that it’s still an issue. i’ve listened to friends describe day to day experiences and it’s truly fucked to listen to what they go through. i met GA a couple weeks ago and he is truly the sweetest person. u can literally feel the genuine kindness vibrating off of him, & it doesn’t sit right with me how you’re assuming him to be naïve/lacking knowledge on certain issues.
Regardless of a job profession, we're human first. People should always fight for humanity. Also telling you say "blacks" rather than "Black people" so it's quite obvious why you hate him and many other musicians like him speaking out about humanitarian issues - which is what they are, not "politics". Maybe you are the one with the "ULTRA surface level understanding", you definitely need to dig deeper into yourself and your belief systems.
Richard Melville Hall (born September 11, 1965), known professionally as Moby, is an American musician, songwriter, singer, producer who basically decided to make money off of remixing African-American music from the 1950s and sold 20 million records worldwide while getting sued from the descendants of the music he has stoled from. And while living in the United Kingdom in 2010 Dave Bayley bored listening to Moby ( To put two and two together means to collate the information that one has and draw a conclusion or arrive at an answer. ) “he says to himself” I will become the next Moby!!…lol
specifically researching every artist you like to listen to to find out whether they have any sort of unjust past that doesnt correlate with your own views isn’t something of concern of everybody. my point is that u pointing that out and attempting to use that against him is absurd and u know it
The passion, talent, lyrics...his connect to his fans, bandmates, etc....makes what he does so much more than music....
He’s one of my favorite humans
Frrr
he's dreamier than dream land.

All I know is that he uses it in his music sometimes, but it’s possible?
How long have you lived there?
I want to sit on your chair. Let’s make music. I was so upset that I lost my job this year while you were in OKC. Hope the venue went well! 😅

I feel personally gaslit to tell you the truth.
