The stock market is gonna crash again hard and when it does the Wall Street executives are gonna be pushing to get Americans back to work because they are losing money. Whether it's a one time thing or not, contrary to popular "internet belief" it is infact not "our money" that is being "given back to us" this is coming from the US Treasury, this is what every American BEFORE US has contributed to creating. Meanwhile in a state like Georgia, $1,200 would be able to cover majority people's rent, and they would still have money left over for other things.

@@zarock61 The only reason they put a hold on the bill is because at first there was NO requirement that large business use the money given to them to pay their workers instead of buying stock back and inflating their worthless company stock. Those aren't "stupid plugins" they're making sure the money goes to the working class and the economy rises naturally instead of being inflated which makes it incredibly more stable in the long run.

Four months! I guess that's alright. Who really needs to eat every day? Honestly this will be a blessing in disguise. I was planning to drop a few pounds anyway. Thanks Congress for helping me on my weight loss journey. And I'm sure my land lord will except iou's. And I'm sure my bank which is getting bailed out with our tax dollars won't repo my car when I'll late on my payments.

They said 4 months for people whose bank accounts are not on file. If your bank account info is not on file with the IRS as a responsible adult then you definitely dont deserve any money from the government becauss its obvious you havent been payong anything to the government.

My husband and I are small business owners and because we sell at public events we were shut down about 2 weeks ago. We don't qualify for unemployment benefits and we also don't expect to get anything from the government because as a new business in 2018 we had a low tax liability because of the amount of deductions we used starting our business. The saddest thing is to see your business and all the small businesses in your community dry up in a matter of a week because the state orders you to close but then keeps you from qualifying for unemployment because you are self employed. I get exempting a self employed person who chooses not to work from accessing unemployment funds but to mandate businesses to close and then not offer them access to unemployment is unfair. I have a friend who is a hairstylist and she is now forced to close but she is self employed like my husband and I and she found out too that unemployment benefits don't cover us. This has really hurt everyone but people who are employed can get atleast a little help but those of us who are self employed business owners are left with few options. I don't mind getting a loan, but if we have no business, how can we pay it back?
This bill is suppose to allow self employed and people that go "gig" jobs (uber) to qualify for unemployment.

the Census online forms have been going out,. We got ours last weekend. If your not listed as a dependent on that it might help, might not. but it only takes a few minutes so worth a shot.

Nirrrina, I’ve read part of the bill.... It said even those who earned enough but not enough to pay taxes will get the same amount 1200.00 Those it worded as those on Social Security or SSDI will get it, as they changed the wording

The US has about 3,500,000 million people, $1200 dollars per person would amount to 4,200,000,000 that’s 4 billion 200 million... that’s a long way from 2 trillion. If you divide 3,500,000 into 2,000,000,000,000 it comes out to $571,428.57 about per person so your getting $1200 not $571,428.57 but you and your kids are going to pay for it. Bout as simple as it gets.. Where is the rest of that money going? You get $1200 dollars, people on social security aren’t getting sh...t.. so that number 3.5 million is smaller. Think about...
That is ridiculous. My job was cut I was making 1300.00 in 35 hours hard labor but a great job. I’d rather have my job back than deal with our government trying to give us a loan.

I know that if they do this it will definitely help me get some bills paid down. I’m grateful for whatever they do honestly.
