the idea is , thst it only goes off when the "office" security system is armed , once it detects intrusion, smoke machines are turned on.

Hi Ben, good question, the answer is yes, which is why we ensure we send notifications to the Fire Safety Officer and Alarms Administration Officer each time we do an installation. We will also liaise with Crime Prevention Officers, Insurers and Monitoring Stations as and when required. Fire Brigade personnel appreciate the need for such systems and have stated that, as long as systems are installed as per the code of practice and in line with the latest ACPO guidelines, they have no objection.

What about fire alarm systems they will go off if activated

it will not go off if fire alarm system uses
ion based fire detectors.

@@tanello2 wrong actually it will set any fire detector off ionisation or optical. Usually the unit is linked to the system and will disable the fire system when it fires
