The premier league tends to be on every weekend, however the champions league will resume on the 14 of February which has the big time match ups like PSG v Bayern Munich and Liverpool v Real Madrid etc and will be most weeks until April/May and games are played on Tuesdays/Wednesdays. I have a question!! Is there a championship for just premier league teams only? Or is there only the champions league ?
@@jackoneal8854 kind of. So champions league is a tournament vs premier league is a league. Champions league has a certain amount of guaranteed bids and then small leagues (ex. think small European country league) play in a qualifying tournament to fill the last few spots. Then play happens and the top 2 teams from each “pool” go through and make it to the bracket. If u win leagues like the prem, la liga etc u get auto bids into champions league.

Hi Jake, being a Football fan I know it can be very confusing as a person who isn't that big on the sport but if you want to focus on Champions League, Europa League and the Europa conference league the knockouts start around 14th of February where it starts with the round of 16 then progresses on to the quatre final then the semi final and finally the final. Up until the final the games that are played consist of 2 legs where each team plays each other twice and whoever has the most goals by the end of it will progress to the next stage, the final normally is around the end of May just after the season ends. But if you want to focus on League football I would recommend to chooses 1 league as there are so many league's to go through but it's up to you but to fill you in games happen normally every Saturday and Sunday we are currently halfway through the season, if I was to recommend you a league to follow it would be the premier league as it's the best league in the world as well as it being the most competitive

Hi Jake! just to make it clear, differently from the american leagues, in soccer the team whose name appears first (above or in the left) is actually the home team, so the game was played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which is the same that hosts NFL games every season.

@@capybara9069 Yeah Mane was a loss but at least their attack is deep. Most of their midfield is past their best and their defence has already conceded as many goals as they did all of last season.
Short guide for the europa league and champions league:
The top 4 teams of the top 5 leagues (premiere league, la liga, serie a, bundesliga, league 1/liga portugal) play in the champions league next season. Place 5 and 6 go to the europa league.
(Since 2021, there's an additional, 3. international league called conference league but it isnt really important)
In the first half of the season, the leagues play in group stages and the top 2 teams of each group make it to the knock-out round.
In the champions league, the 3rd team of each group is knocked out in the champion league, but its qualified for the knockout stage in the europa league.
Every round, there' s always a game at home and away and the team with the better goal ratio makes it to the next round.
Usually, champions league is on tuesday/wednesday and europa league thursday/friday.
(The games in the national leagues are usually played friday/saturday/sunday)

The champions league is the most popular cup competition. Europa league and Europa conference league are the secondary and tertiary versions of that competition.

Since you’re following Tottenham a bit more let me give you an insight into our hilariously bad/good club. Our manager is one of the best in the world but naturally he wants some of the best players in order to try and push for trophies, our best player (Kane) has been with us forever and never won a trophy (he’s like the Chris Paul of football) and he may be leaving in the summer. Our director of football just got involved in a massive scandal from his previous Italian club and may not be able to carry on working for us, and our owners never put money into the club and instead buy yachts for themselves😁 So yeah have fun being a Spurs fan!

Little blurb on main teams in the prem you could support:
Man utd: most trophies and most successful team in British history, has fallen far since they lost their best manager in 2013, going to get new ownership soon because current owners are very bad, large fan base. Bit of a gamble but not too much 6/10
Chelsea: never had much success at all until the 2000s. Chelsea fans will tell you they have history, don’t believe them. Very aggressive in terms of hiring and firing coaches, buying new players etc. try’s hard to be competitive every season but fails sometimes. Just got bought by a new owner who seems to just throw money at things without a plan. Gross fans. 4/10
Man city: owned by middle eastern oil tycoons, doesn’t have much deep history but since 2010 has been best funded and most hungry for success, found extreme success, has amazing players, has the greatest manager in the world at the moment. They don’t have that many fans though because most in Manchester are already United fans. If you don’t mind that they’re just the richest team and want to win this is a good choice, but the lack of history culture and fans isn’t the greatest. 7/10
Liverpool: the second most successful team in English history and has one of the best coaches in the world. Definitely has a great fan base and culture. This season isn’t their best but the team is run very well and if you support them you will definitely see them win and be competitive 7/10
Arsenal: the third most successful team in English history, has gone thru periods of brilliance and periods of failures. Has incredible history and fan base. The owners are actually the same as the rams in the NFL. Arsenal was also the first team to have black players allowed to play when they couldn’t in the league at the time. This is a team of the people, but also one with vast finances, success and hunger to win. This is the season for arsenal and now that they’ve settled into their new era and have a clear vision, expect them to be one of if not the best team of the 2020s.

Dark horse: Newcastle United: recently bought by the country of Saudi Arabia, has a lot of history and great fans, and it’s soo good to see them be competitive again. If you wanna be unique and go for one of the teams outside of the traditional “top six” (the previously mentioned teams) I’d go for this one. Do your own research and go for it man! The premier league is definitely the best league so have fun with it man! It’s a great period of being a fan at the beginning ❤

Luka is MVP not jokic. Jokic has wayyyyyy more help. Luka doesn’t even have a player on the same caliber as Aaron Gordon and the labs are still 5th in the west. Luka has a lebron type team right now but it’s at the bottom of the league because he is HIM. Everybody been disrespecting Luka his whole career it’s about time he gets his appreciation.
