Brilliant video mate! I personally enjoy watching food waste, it's something a lot different to bins, whether I'd enjoy driving/loading it is another matter lol
Hello Billy, this is Tommy💙💙💙 from Northern California. I’m a retired disabled garbageman. I drove for waste management for 33 years absolutely love the garbage business and I love the UK never been there maybe someday you guys are awesome garbage truck drivers all over the world rule they’re the most bad ass guys and gals.🙏💙🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hello Thomas thanks for your nice comment and for subscribing I'm glad you're enjoying the video content. I would imagine your weather over there will be a lot nicer than Scotland 😂. It's always nice to hear from a fellow bin truck driver 👍, I hope you can understand my Scottish accent ok
Our council (County Durham) don't have any food waste collections. Just a General waste, Recycling and a Garden bin. Recycling has a green box for glass only, everything else just goes in a standard wheelie bin.
Great video again Billy. We're not allowed to reverse even an inch without the lads out as banksmen now, which can be annoying when they get in your blindspot
Hi Billy love the video keep up the great work when can you missed bins again can you do a video on the street bins or a video doing bin and bags delivery ❤❤❤
It probably would ,I did suggest it to the loader last week , we were actually going to try it, a couple of the guys sometimes put a 140l on the back but tbh the majority just use the yellow metal bins
Yes I do find them a bit small and uncomfortable, very bouncy. Also not a fan of the gearboxes, they change up too soon, especially on twisty country roads, I always end up putting them into manual on they kind of roads as the gearbox gets itself in a bit of a muddle. They have been pretty reliable to be fair .
The food bins on the lorry are just spare ones when we come across any with the handles broken, which is a common occurrence. Also the loader George sometimes takes one of us going for a permit, that way he can empty it Into the spare bin he's carrying , saves him a journey back

Good morning @@billythebintruckdriver3952
@@adamcrane1436 morning 👍
How many households do you manage to collect in the 7.5 tonner before emptying? cheers.
8:50 why’s there caddy’s behind the cab are for storing stuff in ?
Spare ones are usually used for getting permits So the loader doesn't need to do two journeys between the house and the truck
Nice video mate👌🏻👍🏻🫡
Why does your council not use 140l for the food waste when tipping would it not be easier
It probably would ,I did suggest it to the loader last week , we were actually going to try it, a couple of the guys sometimes put a 140l on the back but tbh the majority just use the yellow metal bins
Really nice video. What do you think of the Isuzu N75? I know some people find it too small.
In Italy we have Isuzu L35 or M21 for food waste
@@anilcavalca2004 yeah

@@billythebintruckdriver3952Your lucky you only get them for 3 years then new ones arrive. some councils have them for 7+ years
Why can you not drive the road sweeper why are they food waste bin s on the back of the lorry
