I love to consider it as side 3 and 4 to an imaginary double album sgt pepper. Considering a couple songs were made for sgt pepper, they wear the uniform, and they were all in the same year
Drew Let It Be is still great. It is just the Pablo Honey of the Beatles. Underwhelming for them, but fantastic for other bands. And their biggest songs on there define the band
The Beatles are WAY more popular today than they were five years after they broke up. I used to get ragged on for playing Beatles records at parties in the 1974-75 era. People would say "Man...Nobody digs to that old Beatles stuff anymore. Get with it! You got any Captain And Tenille? How about K.C. And The Sunshine Band? They're bad man!" 😅
Great video, I was nine years old living in St. Louis County, Missouri when I first heard the Beatles. I'm now 62 years old and my top favorite groups are all from England. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Who, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones. Without the Beatles I don't think I would have even heard of those groups. Again, thanks for the video.

Magical mystery is awesome and I really respect you for putting it as high as you did. I would probably even put it in my top three along with abbey road and the white album. They’re all so awesome
A really enjoyable video. I like your personality a lot =) I also pretty much agree with your ranking here. Let's see... 13. Yellow Submarine 12. With The Beatles 11. Please Please Me 10. Beatles For Sale 09. Help 08. Rubber Soul 07. A Hard Day's Night 06. Let It Be 05. Magical Mystery Tour 04. Sgt. Pepper 03. The Beatles 02. Revolver ( could be #1 as well, I just feel more "abbey roadish" today... ) 01. Abbey Road Yellow Submarine and With The Beatles are records I pretty much never listen to... The rest, however, is GOLD.
Hello James! I'm one of your newest subscribers. Enjoying watching your videos! I was amazed when you said in the other video that "Woman" was quite possibly your favourite song by John since it is my favourite ever. And now I watched this video in which "The Long and winding road" was proclaimed as your favourite one and I've always considered it to be my no. 1 Beatles' song! ... Yes, it's quite obvious that I'll keep watching your videos. :D Cheers!
Great job. I've tried to do a similar ranking but tend to get lost in the middle because I can't decide on the order. Maybe I'll give it another shot after having watched your video.
*13. yellow submarine* favorite track: "hey bulldog" *12. with the beatles* favorite track: "money (that's what i want)" *11. beatles for sale* favorite track: "i'm a loser" *10. please please me* favorite track: "i saw her standing there" *9. let it be* favorite track: "across the universe" *8. a hard day's night* favorite track: "if i fell" *7. help!* favorite track: "dizzy miss lizzy" *6. sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band* favorite track: "a day in the life" *5. rubber soul* favorite track: "in my life" *4. revolver* favorite track: "for no one" *3. magical mystery tour* favorite track: "strawberry fields forever" *2. the beatles/white album* favorite track: "helter skelter" *1. abbey road* favorite track: "the end"
Abbey Road is my favorite as well. I love every song on it and none of it feels like filler. The cover of it is simple, but also unquestionably iconic. My favorite thing about this album is the fact that each Beatle gets their chance to shine at some point. The only gripe I have with it is the song "Her Majesty". It's only 20 seconds and it comes after "The End", which seems like the perfect end to the album and their career as a whole. Other than that though, it's a perfect album for me. Great video and great rankings!
What are you all smoking? The White Album is a dismal, depressing set of songs that Charlie Manson knew and loved. Sexy Sadie, Glass Onion, I'm so Tired, is just an example.
Well, there are some real goodies on the album (While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Blackbird, Sexy Sadie, Helter Skelter, I’m So Tired, Happiness Is A Warn Gun, Julia, etc.) The songs I just listed are very good, with Guitar being possibly George’s best song ever.
Hey man, I've been really enjoying your videos lately. Especially the Beatles related ones. Years ago my mum gave me her 3 original Beatles LPs. Please Please Me (third pressing), With The Beatles (second pressing) and Beatles For Sale (first pressing). The PPM one was actually signed by Paul McCartney I think in June or November 1963. My grandma bought the album for my mum who was going to see them live (they were in town at the time, this was in Newcastle) and by some surreal stroke of luck she bumped into them on the way home. Only Paul had time to sign it though, presumably because a crowd had gathered by that point. Unfortunately all three, esp PPM aren't in the best condition but one day when I get a turntable I want to try playing them :).
Hi James, This video certainly has "the umph" lol :D. I think the blu-ray hunting video is a fantastic idea, as I never seem to get the good deals on blu-rays/movies and always over-pay. Have a nice evening. Toine
Thanks mate :D haha. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. Haha :) yer I thought it would be fun to do something similar but for movies so some blu Ray hunting videos will be on there way soon. Take care mate :)
Thanks for the shout-out, James! Hey, this band called The Beetles... they're pretty good now, are they? ... I will have to give them a chance. .. Anyway, I love that you've made a video ranking the albums yourself; it would be nice if a lot more fans would do the same.. ... Well, as for my comments on your video there's not much I should say really, because after all it's all about our own subjective opinions, right? One thing I would disagree with is your feeling that WITH THE BEATLES has "no character", or "no OOMPH" ... in my opinion, I think it has a lot of oomph/energy/excitement! I can not understand PLEASE PLEASE ME getting ranked above WTB but again .. that's just my own opinion, though you did explain well why you like PPM as it's all recorded on the spot and in a short one-day session... I enjoyed the whole video, mate - lots of good points throughout! .. PS - nice video area you've got there!
Hi Joe. Thank you so much for watching. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. As always anything Beatles related your opinion is most welcome. Yer I have always enjoyed PPM over with the Beatles for some reason. As much as I love with the Beatles and I do it is one of my least favourites for the Beatles but for any other band it would rank amongst there best so there is no doubt in my mind it is still a brilliant album. Thanks again Joe and take care mate :)
Have to agree with you it does have some good tracks like Old Sock his weakest efforts so far they lack inspiration.Sure the playing is great,i think it's just the material.
Completely agree Sir. 'With the Beatles is my favorite pre Rubber Soul Pot era Beatles LP..A Perfect melodic LP with NO weak songs. No skipping needed, with the 1950's and 60's combined into looking forwards and back. A beautiful UNDERRATED LP. Love it after over 50 years of listening to it!
I think "Past Masters" should be included on all Beatles lists, no collection is complete without it. Most of it is their singles and b-sides, incredible songs that get left out.
Hiii rockboy680, let me tell you that I just loove your videos, you're AMAZING!!! I'm from Spain and I was born in 1998 so we have almost the same age hahaha I'd like you to do (as long as you wish it and feel like it, of course ;) ) a Top 50/30/20/10 Songs of All Time, that'd be AWESOME!!!
I ranked mine right before watching your video and we are pretty close to one another -- top 3 were identical; next 3 were same but slightly different ranking; our last two were identical; the rest were in there but slightly different ranking with the biggest differences were your 7 (let It Be) which I put as 10-- finally I put Please Please at 8 and you put it at 11 (both a 3 point difference). Good job! Subbed!
Thanks mate :) pleased you enjoyed it. Yes this was no easy task. Lol :) I would be very interested in seeing you do this as I would love to see what your list would look like compared to mine but I know how difficult it is. Lol :) I can't lie it was Joe who inspired me to do this but yes I do have very high respect for them albums. Even with Phil spectres touch on let it be. Lol :) take care mate
My opinions 13. Yellow Submarine (7/10) It’s only half a Beatles album. Favorite song: Really everything on side one 12. With The Beatles (7.5/10) I love this album, but something to this never sounded right to me and I think that’s because when I was growing up, I would always listen to Meet The Beatles which I actually like better. I am just so used to having I Want To Hold Your Hand as the opening song. And I actually like Hold Me Tight coming after Till There Was You on Meet The Beatles better. Favorite song: All My Loving (Along with It Won’t Be Long, All I’ve Got To Do, Don’t Bother Me, I Wanna Be Your Man, Not A Second Time, and all the cover songs. Least favorite song: Hold Me Tight (along with Little Child) (I still like my least favorite) 11. Please Please Me (8.5/10) What a great debut album. I can’t believe it was recorded in a session of 13 hours. And I really don’t have anything bad to say about this, I just think some songs sound a little bit too raw. Favorite song: Ask Me Why (Along with I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna (Go To Him), Please Please Me, Love Me Do, P.S. I Love You, Baby It’s You, Do You Want To Know A Secret, There’s A Place, Twist And Shout Least favorite song: A Taste Of Honey 10. A Hard Day’s Night (8.75/10) This is a great album. I just ranked it lower just because I may have just listened to the album too much in the past that I got so used to it. But I really like how it’s all Lennon-McCartney album. And we’re actually getting into the good stuff. But they’re all great. Favorite song: Everything except for When I Get Home (which is my least favorite) 09. Beatles For Sale (9.75/10) This I don’t have any problems with. And I enjoy all of the covers. Favorite song: Everything except for Mr. Moonlight and Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby. 08. Let It Be (9.75/10) I think the only thing that would make this album better is including Don’t Let Me Down on it. Other than that, fantastic album. Favorite song: Everything except for Dig It, Maggie Mae, The Long And Winding Road, and For You Blue Now for my next choice is probably going to cause a little controversy. But my top 7 are my favorite albums. 07. Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (10/10) #1 is my favorite along with these top 7 albums. And I always remember discovering the songs that I didn’t know. And I thought that there were parts of Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite and Within You Without You that I thought were weird. But those are my go to songs on the album. Favorite song: All songs 06. Magical Mystery Tour (10/10) What a great sequel to Sgt Pepper. Favorite song: All songs 05. The White Album (10/10) Starting out the top 5 with the big double album. Yes there may be some filler songs, but as a complete experience, I’ve always had a great time listening to it. And my two least favorite songs, Why Don’t We Do It In The Road and Revolution 9, I still do really like those tracks. Favorite song on the first LP: While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Along with Back In The USSR, Dear Prudence, Ob la Di Ob la da, Martha My Dear, I’m So Tired, Blackbird, Piggies, I Will) Least favorite song on the first LP: Why Don’t We Do It In The Road Favorite song on the second LP: Helter Skelter (Along with Birthday, Yer Blues, Mother Nature’s Son, Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey, Revolution, Honey Pie, Savoy Truffle, Cry Baby Cry) Least favorite song on the second LP: Revolution 9 Now this next one is probably a little bit controversial as to why it’s one of my favorites… 04. Help! (11/10) Help is an underrated album. It was the album that got me into music. It was the movie first. And these next ones are great. 03. Rubber Soul (11/10) Now this one and the next one are kind of interchangeable for me. Because they really took time with experimenting with new stuff. And any of these albums in my top 7 can easily be number 1. Favorite song: Everything except for Run For Your Life 02. Revolver (12/10) This album is pure magic. Probably the Beatles’ best psychedelic album. Favorite song: All songs 01. Abbey Road (12/10) This album end the band so perfectly. Favorite song: All songs

Hi James. I'm enjoying your videos. I'm not big on MMT. It was originally released (in the UK) as a double EP (I own it). The whole second side wasn't on it. Capitol decided to add those singles and make an album of it instead. The UK followed suit in 1976. It's hard for me to think of it as an album for that reason. And, of course, SFF and PL were planned for Pepper anyway. That said, 'Walrus' is my favourite Beatles track. My list is: 1. A Hard Day's Night 2. Revolver 3. The Beatles 4. Rubber Soul 5. With The Beatles 6. Please Please Me 7. Help! 8. Sgt Pepper 9. Magical Mystery Tour 10. Abbey Road 11. Beatles For Sale 12. Let It Be 13. Yellow Submarine
Great video James, interesting to compare yours and Joe's lists. Abbey Road is number one for me always, a faultless album. Keep up the good work James, always enjoy your videos!
Thanks mate :) yer can't really argue with anyone's list here as any album for me could be number one and I really liked Joes list. Thanks again and take care
Y'all it's my ranking don't kill me 1. The Beatles (Rocky Raccoon, Martha My Dear) 2. Sgt. Peppers (Fixing a Hole, Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite!) 3. Abbey Road (I Want You, You Never Give Me Your Money) 4. Revolver (I'm Only Sleeping, Got to Get You Into My Life) 5. Let It Be (Dig A Pony, Across the Universe) 6. Magical Mystery Tour (Blue Jay Way, Strawberry Fields Forever) 7. Rubber Soul (Nowhere Man, Run For Your Life) 8. Beatles For Sale (No Reply, Rock and Roll Music) 9. A Hard Day's Night (And I Love Her, Things We Said Today) 10. Help! (You Got to Hide Your Love Away, I've Just Seen a Face) 11. With The Beatles (All My Loving, Till There Was You) 12. My album ranking would be 1 White Album 2 Abby Road 3 Sgt Peeper 4 Rubber soul 5 Revolver 6 Let it be 7 Help 8 A hard days night 9 Magical mystery tour 10 please please me 11 beatles for sale 12 with the beatles 13 yellow submarine
Funnily enough LOVE 'With the Beatles the most of their pre Rubber Soul LP's- And have since 1963! It is a perfect listen and like the Beatles as a band, greater than the sum of their parts and it has NO weak songs as other Beatles LP's do have. It represents the point of departure from their past both looking backwards with awesome covers and the future, THEIR future! It is one of my top 5 LP's of theirs! *My Top 5 being.#1, Sgt Peppers, #2 Rubber Soul, #3 Magical Mystery Tour, #4 The White Album. #5 'With the Beatles'.* One can argue intellectually over these things but after 50 years of listening to them I judge the LP's by how often I still listen to them. Which is the most honest approach IMHO. I consider 'Abbey Road' a good LP but their most overrated!
Great u did this....I saw the Beatles at age 14! in '64!!!!! in the mania!!!!! And saw them at midnight or so at the KC airport..playing about with their luggage....roadies etc maybe 50 -100 ppl there! Got a curious look from John!!!!! Changed me forever!!! U mention songs like 'I WILL' but don't discuss the deep heart value! The beauty of it.;....its not just a list! Its incredibly sensitive and moving....and 'HERE, THERE, EVERYWHERE!!!" AMAZING...THE BEST EVER POSSIBLE WEDDING reception song.....sorry caps.....get into the feel and heart of it all...John, so cynical..upsets me sometimes, in interviews...as if he didn't really like the Beatles..wanted to quit in '66...but Paul pushed him on.....he seemed to have liked 'ACROSS THE UNIVERSE' and 'HAPPINESS IS A WARM GUN" I wish he wasn't so anti-beatle....and hey, mention 'GOD" ! GOOD SHOW THO! tyyyy
For me Abbey Road is the most polished and easiest to listen to from start to finish without the urge to skip any songs. I think if Sgt removed a couple of filler songs and replaced them with Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane (as was intended), then it would be the hands down winner.
@@slothfromthegoonies8201 Sorry all of those are great songs. Sadly many 'Beatles fans' are so conservative. 'Within You without You' is a stand out song and IMHO Georges best. Trippy, mesmerizing, deep and original. I remember them as acid punks! So when 'Shabby Road' and the even duller 'Let it Be' came out I found myself agreeing with John Lennon's assessment of them being 'tired rubbish' saved only by Harrison's two epic Ballads, Johns ripped off ''Come together' and the magic of George Martins brilliant production proving that sometimes you can polish a turd (by Beatles standards of course, for most other artists these disappointments would be inspired masterworks).
@@vladdrakul7851, Within Without You was the most boring moment on Sgt Pepper, and it wasn't original, it was just an average attempt by a westerner at recreating music that can be commonly heard throughout India. Your assessment of Abbey Road is what's conservative, your three favourite songs also happen to be the most commercial. Best moments were the medley on side 2 and She's So Heavy, essentially an early form of death metal. Although tbh on refection I'm mostly a fan of their mid-60's work, with Revolver being the band's true masterpiece, not Sgt Pepper.
@@slothfromthegoonies8201 Utter rubbish. There was nothing like it before and it is an awesome tune (if you are correct give me one GOOD example by someone else; there are none btw). Indeed Sgt Peppers is the LP really loved by black Artists like Jimi Hendrix, and George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. Indeed there is an entire Reggae LP (really good with some of the best Artists) doing the entire LP. And as for 'Shabby Road', John Called it 'rubbish' and 'the sound of a band falling apart'. I'm with John on that. Sgt Peppers changed the world. Even the Pink Floyd and The Beach boys admitted it was the best LP ever made and it blew their minds. Indeed they were so taken by it the Floyd (see interview on this on U tube) had to stop the car they were in when it came out on the radio and pull over. It changed the world. As for 'Abbey Road' it was beautifully produced but mediocre and no longer cutting edge (the first Beatles LP to disappoint me at the same time that 'Let it be' did too). By their standards weak. There last great LP was 'The White Album', their last move forwards. Come 1969 it was the year Led Zeppelin took over, both musically and in the polls.beating the Beatles, Then there was Woodstock; Hendrix, the Doors, Creedance Clearwater, The Allman Brothers, Sly and the Family Stone, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, etc, etc all doing better more advanced work. I know because I was there:
"Packed full of so much epicness" - that pretty much sums up the Beatles discography. Not even gonna comment on the ranking cos I don't care haha they are all first. Just nice to hear your opinion. Nice ummph (it's going viral as we speak) lol take care mate
Thanks mate :) yes you really can't rank them. Was just a bit of fun. They are all most certainly number one really. To sum it up in one go they are all brilliant albums. Done :D haha. Take care mate
13. Yellow submarine 12. Please please me 11. Beatles for sale 10. Help! 9. With the Beatles 8. Let it be 7. A hard days night 6. Magical Mystery Tour 5. White album 4. Rubber soul 3. Sgt peppers lonely hearts club band 2. Abbey road 1. Revolver That's my list
I tried this exercise and, like you, found it very difficult to be critical of any of their LPs. Surprised you included MMT as it was a double EP release at the time. The actual LP is essentially a compilation. FWIW, I had Revolver at the top, Hard Day's Night at #2 and Let It Be at the bottom. Only reason for the latter is because of Spector's over-production. If I want to listen to Let It Be, I pop one of the many bootlegs on to the turntable!
13: Yellow Submarine 12: With the beatles 11: Help 10: Please Please me 9: Let it be 8: Beatles for sale 7: A Hard Days Night 6: White Album 5: Rubber soul 4: Abbey road 3: Magical Mystery Tour 2: Sgt Peppers 1: REVOLVER 3 Favourite songs from every album Please Please me: 3: Boys 2: Please Please Me 1: Do you want to know a secret? Great list. The Long And Winding Road might be my all time favourite song too. I know this is taboo to say, but I think the Phil Spector version is way better, the orchestra just makes it feel even better, although the let it be naked version is great too.
I’d go with: 13. Yellow Submarine 12. With The Beatles 11. Magical Mystery Tour 10. Beatles for Sale 9. A Hard Day’s Night 8. Please Please me 7. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band 6. Let it Be 5. Help! 4. Revolver 3. The White Album 2. Rubber Soul 1. Abbey Road I love these all and even Magical Mystery Tour has my favourite Beatles song (Strawberry Fields Forever).
If you like Yoko or are getting into her stuff then you'll be pleased to know that all of her albums from 1969 to 1985 are being reissued on vinyl. Keep in mind John plays on all of them so you're really not "complete" on John till you get it.
13: Yellow Submarine (7/10) 12: Please Please Me (8/10) 11: With the Beatles (8.5/10) 10: Let It Be (8.5/10) 9: Beatles For Sale (8.8/10) 8: A Hard Day’s Night (9/10) 7: Rubber Soul (9/10) 6: Magical Mystery Tour (9.5/10) 5: Help! (9.5/10) 4: Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (9.5/10) 3: Revolver (10/10) 2: The Beatles (10/10) 1: Abbey Road (10/10)
As you didn't watch the hole video as I said at the end of the video I have moved all my movie and TV show videos over to another channel. Link is in the description
13 - Yellow Submarine 12 - A Hard Day's Night 11 - Please Please Me 10 - Help! 9 - With The Beatles 8 - Beatles For Sale 7 - Magical Mystery Tour 6 - Sgt. Peppers 5 - Rubber Soul 4 - Revolver 3 - The Beatles 2 - Let It Be 1 - Abbey Road

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band [Best Song is A Day in the Life] 2. Abbey Road [Best song is You Never Give me Your Money] 1. Revolver [Best song is ever song, duh]
13) Yellow Submarine 12) With The Beatles 11) Beatles For Sale 10) Please Please Me 9) Let It Be 8) A Hard Day’s Night 7) Help! 6) Rubber Soul 5) Magical Mystery Tour 4) Sgt Pepper 3) Revolver 2) White Album 1) Abbey Road
It's funny how at the start of the video you were being sarcastic like saying that we haven't heard of the Beatles before, it's funny because one of my friends I kid you not, he doesn't know who they are.
Just curious how old you are. I'm 34 amd the Beatlea were long before my time but are onr of my favoritea. I'd guess you are at least 10 years yoinger than I.
While my guitar gently weeps is my favorite beetles song. Blackbird is top 5 or 3 and Here Comes the sun as well. Agree with the list 👍 Very close to mine.
Rubber Soul and Revolver are my two favourites then Sgt Pepper's and Abbey Road to follow. I also love Magical Mystery Tour, Help! and A Hard Day's Night and of course, ... the 'White Album' ; all great albums !!!
Good stuff. Love the white album to death. Literally. But there is an awful lot of crap on there. George Martin didn't understand why they were including such weak songs. But they wanted out of that contract.
great video woth plenty of umph! I struggle to rank the albums consistently so I don't bother anymore. it's so hard with The Beatles. If I did it now as I type this I think Revolver would be first..... or Abbey Road....
Here's my least to best Beatles albums: - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) - Abbey Road (1969) - The Beatles (White Album) (1968) - Revolver (1966) - Rubber Soul (1965) - Let It Be... Naked (2003) - Help! (1965) - A Hard Day's Night (1964) - Please Please Me (1963) - Magical Mystery Tour (1967) - With The Beatles (1963) - Beatles For Sale (1964) - Yellow Submarine (1969) Look, I don't dislike the last ones - I love all of them - but as the concept of a album, those I love less than the first ones. The thing is that, they all gave me a separate special feeling, and which one of them is incredibly valuable to me.
That's what's great about the Beatles and their fans ; if someone likes Magical Mystery Tour over Revolver how can you say they're crazy . Calm down everybody , it's a matter of personal taste . We're all Beatle fans .
1.Revolver 2.White Album 3.Sgt Pepper 4.Rubber Soul 5.Abbey Road 6.A hard day's night 7.Help! 8.Beatles for sale 9.With the Beatles 10.Magical Mystery tour 11.Please please me 12.Yellow submarine 13.Let it be But the odd thing is that My Fave album of all time is The White Album, but Revolver is a greater artistic statement..
My Ranking (all U.K. versions): 1) Revolver (Rain and Paperback Writer replace Love You To and Yellow Submarine) 2) Rubber Soul (Day Tripper and We Can Work it Out replace What Goes On and Think For Yourself) 3) Help 4) Hard Day's Night 5) Beatles for Sale 6) White Album 7) Magical Mystery Tour 8) Sgt Pepper (Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane replace When I'm 64 and Fixing a Hole) 9) Abbey Road 10) Please Please Me 11) With the Beatles 12) Yellow Submarine 13) Let It Be
Mine is 13. Yellow submarine 12. Beatles for sale 11. With the Beatles 10. Let it be 9. Hard days night 8. White album 7. Abby road 6. Rubber soul 5. Please please me 4. Revolver 3. Help 2. Sgt. peppers 1. Magical mystery tour
1. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band 2. Abbey Road 3. The White Album 4. Magical Mystery Tour 5. Let It Be 6. Revolver 7. Rubber Soul 8. A Hard Days Night 9. Help! 10. Please Please Me 11. Beatles For Sale 12. With The Beatles 13. Yellow Submarine Soundtrack
13. Yellow Submarine (I don't care about the George Martin Orchestra side) 12. Beatles for Sale (No Reply Anthology version sounds so much better) 11. Please Please Me (Strong debut, apart from Twist & Shout other covers are pretty so so) 10. Let it Be (Disintegration incorporated, covered up with string patches) 9. Magical Mystery Tour (Psycha what? I'm dizzy!) 8. A Hard Days Night (Great mix of ballad and rock & roll, If I Fell my favourite) 7. Help (Same vibe as Hard Days Night) 6. Rubber Soul (Wow... honest story telling... Norwegian Wood) 5. Sgt Pepper 4. Beatles For Sale (Very high energy early rock) 3. Revolver (Broad range of genres) 2. White Album (The Beatles at their best showcasing individual craftmanships) 1. Abbey Road (Everyone is at their peak, supported by best song production and arrangement: Here Comes the Sun, Something)
There’s no right or wrong with ranking Beatles albums, unless someone says one sucks 😂 Mine is: 1. Sgt Peppers well duh!! It’s so revolutionary to this day. 2.Abbey Road The Neely is so good and the rest of the album is spot on it. 3.White Album Huge album. Some of the best Beatles tracks ever. A couple weaker tracks, but for the most part spot on. 4.Revolver The acid album. It’s fantastic. The Beatles really are at their peak here. Some do their absolute best work. 5.Rubber Soul In my opinion the first ever album with no fat. Just consistently good all the way through. 6. A Hard Days Night OMG the B sides are incredible. The first side is great, but those B sides 😍 7. Please Please Me As you said they did it in 12 hours or so. I love their sound. Very genuine. 8.Let It Be I love all the tracks on here. I just don’t like Phil Spector and The Beatles together. He’s more of a producer for performers. The Beatles are artists. 9.Help! As you said they really started to come out of their shell here. 10.Beatles For Sale It’s a good rocker album. It’s just not the best of the Beatles earlier work. 11. With The Beatles It’s good. I like a lot of the tracks. It’s just very commercial early Beatles for me. 12. Yellow Submarine It’s fun. As you said it’s only half a Beatles album. Only a couple new songs. I do like George Martins fun score though.
Magical Mystery Tour is my fav. and its very underrated
takeru miyamoto their most hits definitely
takeru miyamoto it’s not my favorite but I do really love it and it’s very underrated, top 3 on my list.
Same
I love to consider it as side 3 and 4 to an imaginary double album sgt pepper. Considering a couple songs were made for sgt pepper, they wear the uniform, and they were all in the same year
Yes finally someone who gets it
Most bands can only dream of having an album as good as the worst Beatles record.
Very true. Take care
Yeah, ridiculous how great that band was.
B.K. Let it be? Really?
Drew Let It Be is still great. It is just the Pablo Honey of the Beatles. Underwhelming for them, but fantastic for other bands. And their biggest songs on there define the band
Yellow Submarine is pretty bad...
47 years after their breakup and they are still as popular and relevant as ever.
They're bad man!" 😅
Bullshit
1. Revolver 2. Rubber Soul 3. Sgt pepper
I'd have abbey road at 1, revolver at 2, Magical Mystery Tour at 3, and rubber soul at 4
Roy Ronson Holy Cow! That’s identical to my list but Rubber Soul is my favorite and Revolver is my second.
I'd have sgt pepper at 1
Revolver at 1 for sure... I may put The White Album at 3 and sgt pepper at 2.
Roy Ronson Agree!!👍🏼🤟🏽
Great video, I was nine years old living in St. Louis County, Missouri when I first heard the Beatles. I'm now 62 years old and my top favorite groups are all from England. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Who, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones. Without the Beatles I don't think I would have even heard of those groups. Again, thanks for the video.
I think their best overall album is revolver. Their greatest and most groundbreaking is sgt. Peppers. And my favorite is the white album.

1. Revolver 2. Sgt. Pepper 3. White Album 4. Abbey Road 5. Rubber Soul
Can you do the two Past Masters albums too
Magical mystery is awesome and I really respect you for putting it as high as you did. I would probably even put it in my top three along with abbey road and the white album. They’re all so awesome
A really enjoyable video. I like your personality a lot =) I also pretty much agree with your ranking here. Let's see...
13. Yellow Submarine
12. With The Beatles
11. Please Please Me
10. Beatles For Sale
09. Help
08. Rubber Soul
07. A Hard Day's Night
06. Let It Be
05. Magical Mystery Tour
04. Sgt. Pepper
03. The Beatles
02. Revolver ( could be #1 as well, I just feel more "abbey roadish" today... )
01. Abbey Road
Yellow Submarine and With The Beatles are records I pretty much never listen to... The rest, however, is GOLD.
Fritha71 White Album?
Fritha71 rubber soul 8? The fuck?
Fritha71 and you didn’t include the white album ..
Fleezus Christ That would be "The Beatles" but you're right about Rubber Soul. Should be at least in the top 5
:D Cheers!
Great Video, Magical Mystery Tour is My favourite Beatles record and is in my top five albums of all time.
Great job. I've tried to do a similar ranking but tend to get lost in the middle because I can't decide on the order. Maybe I'll give it another shot after having watched your video.
*13. yellow submarine* favorite track: "hey bulldog"
*12. with the beatles* favorite track: "money (that's what i want)"
*11. beatles for sale* favorite track: "i'm a loser"
*10. please please me* favorite track: "i saw her standing there"
*9. let it be* favorite track: "across the universe"

*2. the beatles/white album* favorite track: "helter skelter"
*1. abbey road* favorite track: "the end"
xcyzek to me my favorite Abbey road song is something
Dizzy Miss Lizzy...?
jeff 9000 The end is just part of the “medley” and not a proper song on its own. Only about 30 seconds long😂
Terrence Thomas
It’s around a minute and 40 seconds. I think it fits as a standalone song very well. In the context of the medley it fits even better.
YES I LOVE FOR NO ONE
Hey James! Nice ranking of the Beatles UK albums. I'll have to do a video at some point soon. Take care James!
Thanks mate :) yes I'd be very interested to see what your list would look like :) thanks again mate and take care
Really enjoyed this video, which attempts a nearly impossible task
Abbey Road is my favorite as well. I love every song on it and none of it feels like filler. The cover of it is simple, but also unquestionably iconic. My favorite thing about this album is the fact that each Beatle gets their chance to shine at some point. The only gripe I have with it is the song "Her Majesty". It's only 20 seconds and it comes after "The End", which seems like the perfect end to the album and their career as a whole. Other than that though, it's a perfect album for me. Great video and great rankings!
I think the White Album might be their best
What are you all smoking? The White Album is a dismal, depressing set of songs that Charlie Manson knew and loved. Sexy Sadie, Glass Onion, I'm so Tired, is just an example.
Well, there are some real goodies on the album (While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Blackbird, Sexy Sadie, Helter Skelter, I’m So Tired, Happiness Is A Warn Gun, Julia, etc.) The songs I just listed are very good, with Guitar being possibly George’s best song ever.
I agree
Great review!
Have you done a video on the American releases. I’m interested in your thoughts on them.
Hi James,
This video certainly has "the umph" lol :D.
Great video! I disagree with your rankings; however, you explain yourself very well. It's all subjective in the end of course.
I have to say Revolver is the best album, even though the White album might be tied.
no sgt peppers is way better
no abbey road is the best
sgt. peppers changed the world
Brilliant! I can't argue with your list. I guess you can't go wrong with the order when it comes to the Fab Four.
Thanks mate. Yer any album could go first here really. It's the Beatles. Lol. Take care mate
I think "Past Masters" should be included on all Beatles lists, no collection is complete without it. Most of it is their singles and b-sides, incredible songs that get left out.
Rain is where it’s at. One of their best non-album tracks IMO
1: Revolver 2: Rubber Soul 3: Sgt Peppers 4: Help 5: Abbey Road
Hiii rockboy680, let me tell you that I just loove your videos, you're AMAZING!!! I'm from Spain and I was born in 1998 so we have almost the same age hahaha I'd like you to do (as long as you wish it and feel like it, of course ;) ) a Top 50/30/20/10 Songs of All Time, that'd be AWESOME!!!
“With the Beatles” is better than “solid” buddy. It is brilliant
OzTwanger my personal favorite
I ranked mine right before watching your video and we are pretty close to one another -- top 3 were identical; next 3 were same but slightly different ranking; our last two were identical; the rest were in there but slightly different ranking with the biggest differences were your 7 (let It Be) which I put as 10-- finally I put Please Please at 8 and you put it at 11 (both a 3 point difference). Good job! Subbed!
Good effort. I'm not sure if I would dare do this one but who knows? Glad you placed Let It Be and Rubber Soul higher than Joe :- )
My opinions
13. Yellow Submarine (7/10)
It’s only half a Beatles album.
Favorite song: Really everything on side one
12. With The Beatles (7.5/10)
I love this album, but something to this never sounded right to me and I think that’s because when I was growing up, I would always listen to Meet The Beatles which I actually like better.
Least favorite song: Hold Me Tight (along with Little Child) (I still like my least favorite)
11. Please Please Me (8.5/10)
What a great debut album.
I Love You, Baby It’s You, Do You Want To Know A Secret, There’s A Place, Twist And Shout
Least favorite song: A Taste Of Honey
10. A Hard Day’s Night (8.75/10)
This is a great album. I just ranked it lower just because I may have just listened to the album too much in the past that I got so used to it. But I really like how it’s all Lennon-McCartney album. And we’re actually getting into the good stuff. But they’re all great.
Favorite song: Everything except for When I Get Home (which is my least favorite)
09. Beatles For Sale (9.75/10)
This I don’t have any problems with. And I enjoy all of the covers.
Favorite song: Everything except for Mr. Moonlight and Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby.
08. Let It Be (9.75/10)
I think the only thing that would make this album better is including Don’t Let Me Down on it. Other than that, fantastic album.
Favorite song: Everything except for Dig It, Maggie Mae, The Long And Winding Road, and For You Blue
Now for my next choice is probably going to cause a little controversy. But my top 7 are my favorite albums.
07. Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (10/10)
#1 is my favorite along with these top 7 albums. And I always remember discovering the songs that I didn’t know. And I thought that there were parts of Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite and Within You Without You that I thought were weird. But those are my go to songs on the album.
Favorite song: All songs
06. Magical Mystery Tour (10/10)
What a great sequel to Sgt Pepper.
Favorite song: All songs
05. The White Album (10/10)
Starting out the top 5 with the big double album. Yes there may be some filler songs, but as a complete experience, I’ve always had a great time listening to it. And my two least favorite songs, Why Don’t We Do It In The Road and Revolution 9, I still do really like those tracks.
Favorite song on the first LP: While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Along with Back In The USSR, Dear Prudence, Ob la Di Ob la da, Martha My Dear, I’m So Tired, Blackbird, Piggies, I Will)
Least favorite song on the first LP: Why Don’t We Do It In The Road
Favorite song on the second LP: Helter Skelter (Along with Birthday, Yer Blues, Mother Nature’s Son, Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey, Revolution, Honey Pie, Savoy Truffle, Cry Baby Cry)
Least favorite song on the second LP: Revolution 9
Now this next one is probably a little bit controversial as to why it’s one of my favorites…
04. Help! (11/10)
Help is an underrated album. It was the album that got me into music. It was the movie first. And these next ones are great.
03. Rubber Soul (11/10)
Now this one and the next one are kind of interchangeable for me. Because they really took time with experimenting with new stuff. And any of these albums in my top 7 can easily be number 1.
Favorite song: Everything except for Run For Your Life
02. Revolver (12/10)
This album is pure magic. Probably the Beatles’ best psychedelic album.
Favorite song: All songs
01. Abbey Road (12/10)
This album end the band so perfectly.
Favorite song: All songs
I love how all of your "favourite song"s either like 5 songs, or the entire album. Respect.

1. Abbey Road
My list is:
1. A Hard Day's Night
2. Revolver
3. The Beatles
4. Rubber Soul
5. With The Beatles
6. Please Please Me
7. Help!
8. Sgt Pepper
9. Magical Mystery Tour
10. Abbey Road
11. Beatles For Sale
12. Let It Be
13. Yellow Submarine
My favourite album (though it doesn't have my favourite song on it) is Rubber Soul
Your favorite Beatles song will change again and again as you get older.

The fact that everyone has such different rankings (especially of the later works) I think is a testament to just how consistently good every album is
Funnily enough LOVE 'With the Beatles the most of their pre Rubber Soul LP's- And have since 1963!
@@aoterou, When I'm 64, Lovely Rita, Good Morning Good Morning, Within Without You, could easily make way for Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields.
I'd drop Rita and Leavong Home
Great Video again, See you have PS4 what sort of games you play?
Thanks mate :) I'm not a big gamer but I enjoy GTA 5, Star Wars battlefront and black ops 3 zombies the most. Take care
Well done

you are very cool boy with great taste of music!

@Michael H. no shit Sherlock
Great list. The Long And Winding Road might be my all time favourite song too. I know this is taboo to say, but I think the Phil Spector version is way better, the orchestra just makes it feel even better, although the let it be naked version is great too.
I’d go with:
13. Yellow Submarine
12. With The Beatles
11. Magical Mystery Tour
10. Beatles for Sale
9. A Hard Day’s Night
8. Please Please me
7. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
6. Let it Be
5. Help!
4. Revolver
3. The White Album
2. Rubber Soul
1. Abbey Road
I love these all and even Magical Mystery Tour has my favourite Beatles song (Strawberry Fields Forever).
You can tolerate Spector's production on Long and Winding Road?
If you like Yoko or are getting into her stuff then you'll be pleased to know that all of her albums from 1969 to 1985 are being reissued on vinyl. Keep in mind John plays on all of them so you're really not "complete" on John till you get it.
with the beatles is one of my faves, I feel that it's underrated and it should be higher
13: Yellow Submarine (7/10)

It's funny how at the start of the video you were being sarcastic like saying that we haven't heard of the Beatles before, it's funny because one of my friends I kid you not, he doesn't know who they are.
Just curious how old you are. I'm 34 amd the Beatlea were long before my time but are onr of my favoritea. I'd guess you are at least 10 years yoinger than I.
I love this guy, he has a great personality
5: Rubber soul
4: White Album
3: Abbey road
2: Sgt Peppers lonely hearts club band
1: REVOLVER!! I love every song on the album!!!
Your great rock boy SO COOL !!! ❤
Good stuff.
Love the white album to death. Literally. But there is an awful lot of crap on there. George Martin didn't understand why they were including such weak songs. But they wanted out of that contract.
Revolver at number 5? That’s my favorite
White Album is my personal favorite
great video woth plenty of umph!
I struggle to rank the albums consistently so I don't bother anymore. it's so hard with The Beatles. If I did it now as I type this I think Revolver would be first..... or Abbey Road....
Yer I can't blame you there. It is no easy task but both are good choices there. Take care mate
Good job, you nailed #1. Abbey Road is their best album and the best "swan song" from any band, ever (Abbey Road was recorded after Let It Be).
my top 5 personal favorites:
1. White Album
2. Magical Mystery Tour
3. Sgt. Pepper’s
4. Rubber Soul
5. Revolver
Here's my least to best Beatles albums:
- Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)
- Abbey Road (1969)
- The Beatles (White Album) (1968)
- Revolver (1966)
- Rubber Soul (1965)
- Let It Be... Naked (2003)
- Help! (1965)
- A Hard Day's Night (1964)
- Please Please Me (1963)
- Magical Mystery Tour (1967)
- With The Beatles (1963)
- Beatles For Sale (1964)
- Yellow Submarine (1969)
Look, I don't dislike the last ones - I love all of them - but as the concept of a album, those I love less than the first ones. The thing is that, they all gave me a separate special feeling, and which one of them is incredibly valuable to me.
Thanks mate. Good list there. Yer I completely agree. They are all pretty brilliant albums there. No doubt about that. Take care
That's what's great about the Beatles and their fans ; if someone likes Magical Mystery Tour over Revolver how can you say they're crazy . Calm down everybody , it's a matter of personal taste . We're all Beatle fans .

Your intro music is sorta “Alright” it’s kind of electric like a flickering light with an orchestra
'The Beatles, they're just some small little band, you should check them out, theyre pretty decent'
Mine is

5. Sgt Pepper
4. Beatles For Sale (Very high energy early rock)
3. Revolver (Broad range of genres)
2. White Album (The Beatles at their best showcasing individual craftmanships)
1. Abbey Road (Everyone is at their peak, supported by best song production and arrangement: Here Comes the Sun, Something)
There’s no right or wrong with ranking Beatles albums, unless someone says one sucks 😂
Mine is:
The first side is great, but those B sides 😍
I do like George Martins fun score though.
the long and winding road is my least favourite beatles song. It just seems to go on forever
I prefer the White Album over Abbey Road by a long shot. It’s not only my favorite Beatles album, it’s my favorite album.
