Didn’t you get the ending? I’m paraphrasing but he said that she grew up with him. that’s his daughter, she just took the wrong path. He stayed faithful because he loved her. He’s very noble for that and especially loyal to his family. He had nothing else to live for.

He would always promise to get her whatever she wanted even if he couldn’t afford it right then. There is nothing noble in allowing anyone, much less a child you raised, to abuse you or watch them abuse others. He raised a vile human being. Parents are not always responsible for the way their children turn out but in this case, he is partially at fault. Some of it is her personality but him allowing her to do whatever she wanted and allowing her to disrespect him and use him at every turn made her worse.
Love this story , so happy the sister finally did the right thing in the end. Though I always feel awful when they show the worst of western devils because that is the farthest thing from some of us. Every place has good and bad people.
