Hi orientation of shearkey is correct here? As per your vedio, you are applying load transverse direction of plate.. here the shear area will be less. If oriented longitudinal axis so that we will have more shear area on both side that means length and height please clarify..

Hi sir, your videos are helpful, please can you make the one video related to pipe rack because in longitudinal direction we provide pin connection with bracings and in transversa we provide moment because can not provide bracing can you please let us know if the eq is in the direction of longitudinal how the bracing can resist moment
