    Except for the foot stomping on the wrist-locks in the 3rd road, this is EXACTLY how the form was taught to me... Of course, this Gentleman's performance is MUCH better than mine... Thanks for posting this video!

    D empty stance is wrong here. It's not supposed to a NSL empty stance. LKY's empty stance is shown clearly in his pics of Bung Bo. Even in 1 gen, d form has changed

    Hey I have a question. This very common version of beng bu is a little bit different from the picture book of Luo Guang Yu ua-cam.com/video/K6IZa_gXxTg/v-deo.html
    At 13sec of your video there is a "Gou lou cai/ Au lau Tsai" but in the video of Luo Guang Yu not... Do you know any reasons?

    • @hemispace641
      @hemispace641 2 роки тому

      To answer your question, the video of Luo Guang Yu doing Beng Bu leaves out the picuture of his student Won Hon Fang doing "Au Lau Tsai".

      @@austrianpainterinhiding88 in general its crap! The only Mantis style that actually works well in MMA and fights is Bamboo Temple Forrest!

    • @austrianpainterinhiding88
      @austrianpainterinhiding88 4 роки тому +2

      @@i_GiveFRUITS Well, there are many subsets of mantis that utilize triple picks, block-strike combos and ankle hooks. Each one of those can be useful when done right, but people in the TMA community need to understand that you can't fight with a form set, it only exists to help you remember each technique, you have to take a real fight one move at a time.
      Especially with "Kung Fu", there are literally a thousand + styles because every family could just make their own style that's totally unique. We see kung fu as a specific thing but it literally just means "big effort", so it could literally be anything that a Chinese guy came up with. With a system that general there's obviously going to be a lot of nonsense, but some good stuff too *assuming it's practiced properly*.
      I think it would be more constructive for people to stop lumping kung fu in to one huge category, that includes many styles that are totally and fundamentally different from one another, and saying that it's all crap. It should be looked at style by style.

    • @i_GiveFRUITS
      @i_GiveFRUITS 4 роки тому

      @@austrianpainterinhiding88 blah blah blah. The style is obsolete against mma and only works against people who do the same style. I have used Moves feom chow gar that work sooo well and dont use spinning attacks for no reason apart from waste energy. If you train mma you will know this

    • @austrianpainterinhiding88
      @austrianpainterinhiding88 4 роки тому +1

      @@i_GiveFRUITS Nothing you said counters any point I made. I guess your point is that spinning and jumping around isn't practical? Ok, I basically alluded to that before, I didn't think I needed to spell it out though.
