We have a 12 week old Rottie puppy who is the grandson of Champion Doctor Timit Tor. I saw both mother and father and they are beautiful. Our Koda is a joy…he has a great temperament, he’s confident in himself, he knows his basic commands and some additional commands. He’s beautiful and we love him. Proud of his bloodline.
Championships are one thing. But as horse breeding shows, if the animal can't do the job it was bred for, forget it. Rotties have working lines in Schutzhund and herding. As long as that continues to happen, I have faith in the breed. Overbreeding certain traits has ruined more than one breed, and giant Rotties are more at risk for short life spans, luxating patellas, and hip dysplasia. like every "giant" breed. Genetic Jenga doesn't show up in a show ring, and I'd be curious how many champions have died of pancreatic cancer or had abbreviated lifespans.

This type of Rotweiller, if further distorted and estranged from its mother breed, will end up having terrible breathing problems and other enhanced health issues (if inbred). The truth is that Rotweillers were never meant to be brachycephalic dogs. Brachycephalic rotweillers are a novelty to this breed and, even though they may aesthetically please people who don’t care about a dog’s health, even though, through a bizarre judgement they are allowed to participate in shows, they are nothing but an estranged gimmick of the original breed. (your pup, Vader, looks closer to the original breed standards though. I’m happy to see that his muzzle is really matching a rotty’s standards, unlike many of the other Timit Tor dogs).

I also have a grandchild of Doctor Timit Tor. He is not likely gonna be 150 lbs but he is a big boy and super sweet.

A friend breeds these dogs and her male is 188 lbs. Not positive on blood lines but his name is Von.
