You nailed the problem that people have with your channel when you said, “My situation is not your situation, and your situation is not my situation.” That’s a big mirror that you need to hold up to yourself as you blast everyone else and call them fake, or say that they’re lying about how trucking really is, and that YOU are the only showing what trucking is really like. Because sure, that is what trucking is really like to YOU, but that doesn’t mean that’s the truth of trucking to everyone else as well. But if people show or portray anything other than what YOU see as your reality of trucking, you call them out and try to attack their credibility. My truth of trucking and experience in the industry over the last 20+ years is nothing even remotely close to yours, and never once has been in all that time. But does that mean I think you’re a liar that needs to be called out?? No, because as you said, “My situation is not your situation.” So maybe take a step back and look at it from that angle to see why you get so much hate and push back for calling out others that don’t have the same experience in the industry that you’ve had. You summed it up perfectly at 23:13….
I'd like to know your whole story about trucking company driver. The whole time owner operator after you already had eighty thousand dollars in the bank? There's always more to the story buddy. And when I call somebody out for not telling the truth about trucking, it's because I know they're intentionally misleading people. Absolutely do not sell the truck. You just spent over 20k, You won't even get that if you sell. The key is being preventative. Many of my trucker friends say your ocd why you change parts thats still work. Answer because I go based on miles. It keeps your equipment reliable. You are correct 1.9 million mi thats about right when those components go out actually thats dam good miles. It's easy for people to comment do this do that. Shit cost money it's not that simple. Your compressor bro isn't bad it's your dryer cartridge. Now if you can change it then change it cause of miles it's good preventative maintenance. Now I do all my own repairs but in your case where u broke down i wouldn't have had a choice but to do what u did. You will make that money back bro. I rather have a old reliable truck then these new garbage automatic trucks.Thank God you didn't have automatic trans those are about 15 to 17k for just trans. Just my 2 cents 😂.
@Trugginglife thanks for the great comment. We think it actually was the compressor we took off the main feed line and ran the engine, and it was blowing quite a bit of oil out of the back of the compressor. Sorry, I couldn't get that on video. My phone was on the charger.

It's idiotic to even suggest selling after spending that much on fixing it. And like you said, what are you going to do? Trade up 1 used truck for another that will ultimately have issues too? That's the dumbest thing anyone could have said to you.
Plenty of new trucks break down. Even with a warranty, the down time is costly. You just happened to have multiple breakdowns in a short time period. Like you said, now you’re not likely to have any major component failures for a while.

Every truck needs maintenance and repairs. It’s really that simple. The fact you bought the Volvo at the mileage you did, and then those parts went out isn’t a “junk truck” issue, it’s a timing issue. As you said, you’re gambling. I’m sure you were well aware with those original components at that mileage, it was essentially a ticking time bomb on those parts. Doesn’t make it a junk truck one bit. My last truck had the 04 model Acert. GREAT engine but damn was she thirsty. I had so many negative comments about the reliability of that truck in my videos lol. No major issues over my ownership. I decided I wanted to get a better fuel mileage truck. So I went out and bought this current truck, 2020 579 with a paccar. LOTS of negative comments there 🤣. I had one major breakdown, camshaft went bad and that’s an engine out job. Full warranty work. Basically had the engine rebuilt (no new liners though) completely under warranty. Other than that I’ve replaced a couple sensors, all the tires, shocks, and that’s it in 230k miles of my owning it. Point is a trucks a truck. They all have problems but not all are as problematic as the fan boys of other brands want you to believe.
