But songs like mad love, tell me am I a sinner and when I say go had clear sexual innuendos. This album was her “in between a girl and women stage” and struggling with being the perfect teen bopper image. Her virginity was probably one of her biggest talked about topics, plus these unreleased songs were a little more mature and more personal. In her song overprotected (dark child remix) she whispers in the beginning “I need time love joy virginity” during that time her label didn’t want any songs out that made people more skeptical then they already were. That’s why they made her lie about certain things like sex, alcohol and drugs. Truth is she was just the average teen making average mistakes her record label definitely messed her up mentally. She didn’t get a real chance at a childhood and didn’t get a proper transition into women hood, that truly messed her up.
