Very clear thank you so much. I had tried the magic loop but didn't feel confident and didn't have the guidance of the blood and death and putting needle under working yarn soooo helpful I am ready to try again.
I have watched so.... Many magic loop tutorials yours is the Best! Your voice and any hiccups you may encounter beginning. Fantastic tutorial. Let's bump it to the top everyone. Thank you keep knitting and smiling
Thanks, Mimi! I was happy to be able to surprise you in class today by showing you that I taught myself magic loop by watching your video while I was on vacation!
Best Magic Loop tutorial, and I have watched a bunch! Thank you for the “blood or die” tips - you have helped me avoid the pitfalls I kept encountering! I am a loyal follower now.
Fantastic! My has out grown his mittens i bought last year already. So happy to now i can knit him some. My husband bought me Denise Knitting Needles for Christmas. I will put these to good use now cuz of your video!
hi, i have to tell you that your demonstration was the easiest for me to follow, thank you! i was getting a little frustrated trying to get the hang of it,watching others. i wonder if i am casting on incorrectly though, as i end up with a longish strand, pulled quite tightly from the stitches on left crossing over to right needle. perhaps the snugging up situation. thanks again your calm soothing way makes this easier to comprehend.
For a beginner , u are a gem of a teacher that I was fortunate to come upon. Thank u. . Can u tell me when u do a 1x1 rib ( cast on 68 which I divided into 33 and 35) after finishing one half which started and ended in knit stitch , when I start the next half do I start with a purl stitch in continuation as if on a straight needle or start with knit stitch ?
+Susan Oommen Hi Susan! Thanks for your kind words. It seems easiest to divide the stitches on each cable so that each round and half-round is always beginning with a knit stitch. So, in your case, I would place 34 sts on each cable. If the pattern stipulates the 33/35 split for something coming later, just make the adjustment after you finish the ribbing. Hope this helps. Happy knitting!
You are the absolute best. I have tried others and you are perfect. I have one question. What happens to the 2 sides of what I am knitting? The front and the back are fine, but what about the 2 sides? Maybe, I am doing part of this wrong. Please let me know.
Excellent tutorial! Thanks so much! I need to view action to learn, i bought a bk on this and kept getting mixed up! I can't thank you enough! Peace, grace
+Susan Oommen You wouldn't ever have an odd number cast on with a 1 x 1 rib, since it's a 2 st repeat and has to be divisible by 2. Questions are good - it's how we all learn. :-)
thank you! you are a wonderful and patient teacher. I had done the odd split and started doing the rib. only after completing one and half round starting always with knit it suddenly struck me whether I should start with purl as the other half ended in knit. 😅
THANK YOU I thought I would never learn this technique but thanks to your tutorial I finally managed to get a hang on it. You are a great teacher! I am still having some troubles with keeping the ladders away between the two parts. Any tips on that?
thank you! this is so clear and simple, i have knitted twice so far with 5dpn, this looks so much easier to handle, and what do you know, i am on round 4 :) thank you!!
i have watched SO many magic loop tutorials. NO one has explained it better. THANK YOU so much
