Awesome video, I've got a Birch table that I bought used and it is oiled. It's got some scuff marks and is a little rough to the touch, so I was wanting to sand it down with 100, 300, and finally 600 grit to make it super polished and then oiling it so as to keep the natural finish and not seal it. Not sure what exactly to use - Do I need to condition it with something before oiling? Or can I just use linseed oil after sanding and call it a day? :/

Hard to say as this table is edge grain of the plywood. Could you test an area underneath or out of view to see how it works?

What finish did you use? I just got a table top made from Baltic Birch and have been trying to figure out a good finish to use on it.

Hello, I just used a mixture of linseed oil, polyurethane and mineral spirits. It’s kind of a homemade way to make Arm-R-Seal from general finishes which is a really nice finish IMO. Thanks for watching, and good luck with your project!
