The Latvian Legion was active during World War II. Made of mostly Latvians, they fought bravely for their homeland against the expansion of communism.

--This video had one line that was pretty hard to translate "Ūrlaubšein tu esi skaistākā no visām šeinēm". Turns out the words come from German "Urlaubsschein" which is like a pass to go on vacation. So the first few lines are about how happy the soldier is to receive a pass letting him go home for a bit.

We have quite a lot non literal German words in spoken Latvian. Like my grandmother called shes grandmother Grosīte allway thod why, but its from German grossmutter

The Latvian legion in idea werent nazis. They actually were gonna rebel against the Germans after the war. It's a latvian legionary song, and that is why he used Latvian legion photos, learn history before you accuse someone of being a Nazi or such.
