    People might knock his success, but I think he's carved a unique place in fashion due to his humble beginnings and the way his past shapes the stories in his clothing. His designs are wearable and for REAL people and that's why he's getting the traction he deserves. ALSO he's fucking gorgeous which doesn't hurt.

      @Ernesto H Because he has that in his blood, he is a French Native from the South which means he is purely Italian. The Art of living, farming, good food, craftsmanship, artisans , designing and creativity "the dolce Vita" that's the Italians Culture. A French and an Italian don't ever go hungry or end up a loser because they have the passion to design, create and innovate things for daily life use and a necessity and last longer, good quality, which is very obvious take a look at his collection ""elegance, comfortable, timeless" . Even a French and an Italian They haven't finished the rules of education and school they do read and intellectually rich. And they are working too even by the age of 14years old, if you think about all the millions of food packaged, fresh market of fruits and vegetables Italian and French food, the best food it's all mostly family run real farmers, hand picked. Besides there are millions of Franco - Italian brand that are passed down from fathers to their sons and wives not obliged to be a fashion powerhouse but known to the world for centuries by true travellers and connoisseurs who loves great craftsmanship made by great artisans. In fact a French and an Italian would lose themselves only until they forgot who they are, their culture and embracing the so called "Multiculturalism melting pot trend" from capitalist leading countries. It's him embracing his own culture that makes him this great designer in fact many have tried to learn that knowledge and culture too to become a designer just like Lagerfeld a German passionate in Franco Italian design. Also not just the French and the Italians but all Mediterranean race and civilizations love the art of living the Arabs, Moroccan, Persian, Oman many of Franco Italian craftsmanship were inherited from the Arabs and the Arabs inherit many from the Aryan race the Siberian-Turkic such as making glassware and pottery and plate painting drawing on it, and making all kind of fabrics through drawing in it and embroideries. one can get it easily if you know more about the French Italian culture, and the French and Italian are the same people they are both Italians Gauls and Romans the same back in Italy they mixed together in culture, in architecture all in all ever since Cesar empire and they are very similar people. Just the Gauls looks like the Welsh of The UK straight Asian hair rather than slightly curly Romans hair. Jacquemus success is just like celebrating his own people culture 😊

    His laid back and personal approach to design. As I searched his past collection before what was seen here, they were rigid, conceptual and over thought and seem not akin to his personality almost ineffective, generic and unimpressive but that is only I can say because I've seen his recent collections that are inspired from his mother and his homeland which were also generic but effective and bold because for a new designer he should be trying to impress or show bravura but when he turned to a new approach, it clicked. All just connect - beauty, intention, experience, feeling, success, finance and a wave of followers.

      oh yeah yeah
      You may not want to face it, but preferential treatment towards white men is very much the reality in the fashion industry and in many industries.
      The fashion industry has always preferred to cast white models. Models who weren’t white like Naomi Campbell had to fight to be recognized and not be ignored by the industry. The same also applies to designers, photographers, and other fields in the biz. White women designers also have to fight because white men designers get preferential treatment over them. Notice most designers are white men over white women even though the fashion industry revolves mostly on women’s clothes.
      White male privilege is a very real thing. When you’re older and wiser, you’ll recognize that.

    • @user-ek4yd7hx9l
      @user-ek4yd7hx9l 5 років тому +12

      HindsightPOV girl even tho you consider yourself “wise and old” and woke unfortunately for you you’re just brainwashed by leftist media (like buzzfeed, CNN, Vox etc. and all the Hollywood/music industry brainwashing). You’re the one who can’t face the fact that it’s impossible for all groups to have the same statistics (same with the « gender wage gap ») that you like it or not males and white males happen to make choices that leads them to the top, it’s nobody’s fault if they tend to be “better” in that field. Also as all libtards you live 20 years in the past and you clearly don’t know much about fashion, if you look at any show lately of hot designers there’s always massive “diversity” in models, which is usually due to “positive discrimination “ which is basically choosing someone from a minority over someone white just because of the race, so you’re actually living in a parallel dimension if you really believe the shit you’re saying. Also if you look at models in general who are casted or not they are massively white but it’s NOT due to discrimination, it’s just white people tend to be more “model material”, believing all groups/races have the same proportion of people who fit the model criteria is being delusional... for example Russia produces a lot of models, their genes tend to make more people who fit the fashion industry on the other hand, Indian models are very rare (even tho Indians are around 1 billion they tend to not fit model criterias. If you look at Africa for example South Sudan produces quite a few big models (south Sudanese genes tend to make people who fit model criterias) while Congo doesn’t. That you like it or not all races/groups do NOT equal each other physically. It’s biology if you deny biology you’re delusional. Also if you look at any show you’ll see designers always chose diversity for their models even sometimes to the point of having a 50% black ratio for example which proves they chose their models BECAUSE they are black, because it’s seen as “tolerant” and “cool”. Society today praises diversity and “cancels” anyone who doesn’t follow that ideology and this is due to people like you, sjws. I stand by what I’m saying, if there’s a black woman with the same exact abilities as a white man the industry will always push ahead the black woman because it’s « cool, diverse and tolerant :)) ». Honestly you’re completely delusional and out of touch if you believe white privilege is a thing in western countries lmao, are you black? Because if you are let me tell you something: all clever black people who succeeded say the same thing: « white privilege » is false; the real reason why black people don’t make it big is because they relay on the past and wait for everything to be handed to them because of their « victim card », if black people spent as much time making the right moves and working as they spend time complaining and acting like victims the black community would be the most successful rn. It’s not a question of melanin it’s a question of right choices and hard work. If you can’t accept that then you just proved my point 🤷‍♀️

      @@leoprevaes6793I agree! Nowadays you can do everything with marketing, it's just a matter of how you sell it. Of course you expect "quality" from luxury goods but often the high price is no proof at all. I think he was contributing to the trends in terms of what Zara and so on is selling, and I like the casual vibes of his designs. What bothers me about him- even though I think his designs are very good and consistent as well-is his choice of models in terms of body types, since he sticks to the beauty-standards we've known for decades and for me that makes him a very backward designer.

    A lot of talk about passion, about designing for his mom, about wanting girls to look happy (but not too much, because, you know, it's not natural...)... but what's it reaaally all about? What is specific about his inspirations? There's hardly any ideas, any concepts, any philosophy, any refreshing ways of doing things in there... just a lot of cliché talking.

      That's the point of Jacquemus, it's not pretentious its relatable to regular people while still keeping the art alive and sometimes the art is abstract
