I was thinking of making a vanilla like server with all the abilitys that got removed, and just balance them, Pallys needed Crusader strike, many other classes were much cooler before the removes.

I would like to suggest two other abilities for this kind of list (maybe for another video in the future ;) : Holy Strike and Crusader Strike for the Paladin class Both were scrapped for player use before the offical release (with Crusader Strike returning in TBC), while Scarlet Crusade members were still able to use them

There are still more cool spells that I would like to talk about, and I think there would be enough for a part 2. I will definitely consider it!
I always wondered if two spells were originally meant for classes: "Enchanted Quickness" from Defias Enchanters and "Arcane Bolt" From Twilight Emissaries. The first one was very broken indeed; the second one could've worked to improve the number of spells Arcane mages had and for their mobility.
Man, I remember cause I got into the beta when it was technically the late alpha (they did a new client download and basically rebuilt the game) and the history of mage/priest CCs is weird. Late alpha: Mage had Chains of Ice, Priest had Sleep. Beta: Mage had Sleep, Priest had Shackle Undead. Later beta: Mage lost Sleep, gained Polymorph, no more changes. BTW, I remember they added hunters really late in beta (like beta started with a level cap of 35, going up as they had more zones ready for testing, and hunters were added when the cap was raised to 55 or 60, IIRC) and they were pretty much how they are in Classic/vanilla, so man, I really wonder what the internal versions that used focus would've been like.
Damn, that's interesting - must have been very special getting into the beta! How were you chosen for beta back then? Sounds like they weren't very clear on what types of CC to give the different classes early on - I think the end result was pretty good, however. I don't know much about the early focus system myself, but I think it's cool that the focus requirement error still pops up when I try to use Explosive Shot. Would have been interesting to see what exact ideas they had for it for sure!
Damn, that's sad. I wonder if it might be a bug in Classic. When you read through the old database comments there are multiple people claiming it works on raid bosses. "This can be used on MC bosses", "This Owns in Naxx at Meaxxna", "it works on nefarian =D" etc.
Now that I watched this video, I feel like the hunters ability feign death makes so much more sense on a druid as "play dead," and would synergize with a hybrid class. Play dead, drop combat, switch into healing/tank gear and bam, could make the difference between a wipe and a clutch kill in a raid. Like why does the hunter just flop onto the ground and pretend to be dead? Makes as much sense as a rogue doing it.
That's a very good point that I haven't thought of. The ability to drop out of combat and switch from DPS to healing gear for example could be very powerful on a druid. I don't know how giving hunters Feign Death makes sense from a practical perspective. Maybe they're used to playing dead to survive bear or other animal attacks when they're out hunting or something, but that's a bit of a stretch.
Shadow word: fumble could have been a thing just call it Shadow word: Blind cut the 75% to 30% the duration was fine. Flavor text The Priest uses its shadow powers to weaken the targets eye sight for a few seconds.
Yeah, I guess Blizzard could have worked a bit more with the idea of Fumble and improved the theme / design. You could think of it like a reverse Evasion in a way. Maybe I just have too many bad memories of Dust Cloud and missing swings over and over which makes me dislike it.
@@moegdalswowvideos6800 30% a boss missing a warrior tank, rip rage gen. I know TBC having like around 40% avoidance between dodge and parry in 5 mans i could be rage starved. I still used rage pots in TBC just get nice little jump on rage in the pull., but not worth it for 5 mans. Full T1 you can good amount I don't know the numbers off top my head plus the 30% the OP is talking about would be above 40%. When you block you get rage from the hit and bonus rage from talent. You rather block than dodge or parry, even if you factor in parry haste. Now if it had a cool down longer than duration, maybe up the % missed and use it as defensive CD for the tank. I think some where around 50%. Would be fun use patchwork if your tank is getting beaten on.
@@DubhghlasMacDubhghlas For PvE, that's definitely a point to consider. I didn't think about that. With the correct tweaking I guess it could work as a "defensive" cooldown like you say. Or you could make bosses immune to it :D

As someone played warrior mostly leveled 2 handed when you miss your white swings, you are so screwed with rage gen. I just think that spell is really strong. Just about any way you slice it. I can see why it was scrapped would be tough to balance. I think as defensive CD would be easier to balance, and it would be neat if vanilla had defensive CD that a healer could use for their groups to help the tank, etc.

As a warrior for example, your melee swings is all you have almost so having a miss debuff put on you frequently (especially in PvP) would be horrible.

Focus is a resource in classic wow, you can use the GM command .modify focus 100000 to add focus and then cast the explosive shot fyi

Sadly Bag of Marbles can't be used on raid bosses, atleast not on rag. I tried it on our first attempt and I sadly got the "Immune" floating text.
