You may like Cookie Cutter then as well. Colorful 2D sci-fi/cyberpunk Metroidvania with a style all its own set in a megastructure. There's a lot more planned for the future too.
I wonder how many people understood the reference. The three-legged robot literally resembles a transistor, as they made them in the 60s and 70s. In my childhood, I assembled electronic crafts from such "tripods" of the Soviet production of the МП series :) МП35А, МП42Б etc.
Isn’t this like the third megastructure climbing game in the last year? Don’t get me wrong I love it, it’s just such a hyper-specific type of game to be booming like this lol
People are so dissatisfied with AAA slop that niche genre started blooming like crazy. Kinda wild that all three games, despite being similar in premise, plays so differently.
This has stronger Playstation 1 vibes than most, and a such a gently dusty atmosphere...that room with all the inert robots still standing at attention like eager war dead was all kinds of eerie. I wonder where that tripod critter went, though I very much like that it had its own buisness to attend to.
...i dunno why, but between the color palette and the straw hats these bots are wearing, this is giving me EYE Divine Cybermancy vibes. (you gain brouzof)
I mean everyone has their own opinions but for me there’s a big difference between watching and playing yourself, personally there are plenty of games I’ve watched ABGs full playthroughs of multiple times that I still want to play myself. Crow Country, Mouthwashing, Home Safety Hotline, Fear the Spotlight to name a few. Happys Humble Burger Farm quickly became a fave even after watching the playthrough
from time to time im getting a dream where im entering an old rusted factory or similar structure. Im feeling so curious to see whats inside, and im entering it , wandering through the forgotten place, and my path getting more curvy and complicated, and i see more more and corridors, at some point i understand that i have no chance to get back because i already forgot the initial path. And the only thing lefts is to keep going, deeper into it. I wonder do developers of such games where u wander around this kind of structures had the same dream as me
Wow! If I would have a nickel for each time a Post Apocalyptic Upward climbing indie game was released, I would have 2 Nickels which isn't much but it's weird that it happened twice!
Speaking of climbing ancient structures, have you checked out the demo for The Big Catch? It's called The Big Catch: Taklebox and works as sort of prelude for the game, but also as a sandbox demo for all the freerunning and climbing you can expect in the game.
when you freed the tripod robot i was ever so briefly worried you would kill it for its battery also the design of the robots reminds me a bit of ww1 soldiers
I think ABG might be on that "what if you were climbing a megastructure" fixation Ohhh, you know what though, being able to pole vault and reach higher with the pole is a really cool mechanic. So is just climbing on the damn thing.
i really appreciate how you don't do the common youtuber thing where they stream of conciously narrate the entire time with the most obvious and banal description of the game and what they are thinking/doing.
I feel like this game have some potential if it was more free and physics based. This one as it is feels so stiff and rely too much on the animation. It's more like a typical platformer than anything
Megastructures are the vibe I'll never get tired of
megastructures are hot right now
Same. I can't get tnough of them!
The monkey's paw is starting to curl

seems like the era of vertical climbing games is blooming
A strand type game Kojima predicted but 100% not in such fashion hehehe
Platformers are returning. Jak confirmed
Bro I ain't climbing SHIZ

Damn, I miss the Soviet Union and so do many of my Eastern European friends.
Love how cinematic this is without the need for excessive amounts of dialogue or cutscenes.
I bought a robot to help me climb megastructures. But one day the leg fell off and broke my hand.
Oh, the iron-knee! :)
Jesus Christ 😂
AlphaBetaJoker channel incoming 😄
Loving this new era of megastructure games.
Isn’t this like the third megastructure climbing game in the last year? Don’t get me wrong I love it, it’s just such a hyper-specific type of game to be booming like this lol
the climbing urban exploration community is a profitable community

More like late ps2, graphics are too good.
Has a very similar vibe to Lorn's Lure. I like it!
I like the abandoned industrial aesthetics. Reminds me of Old Aperture from Portal 2
Ah yes, Kenshi. We meet yet again.
Really love this concept.
What skeletons from Kenshi are doing when the player isn't around
Pole vaulting isn't a mechanic in enough games. I remember having fun doing it in The Hobbit game as a kid.
...i dunno why, but between the color palette and the straw hats these bots are wearing, this is giving me EYE Divine Cybermancy vibes.

Legs are ok
Your legs are ok
Got some Kenshi vibes from this at the start :3
I sure hope Playstation 2 era graphics become the new norm in nostalgic graphics for indie games
abg is like the patron saint of megastructure climbing games
The megastructures.... they call to me!
the wall ring climb part instantly gave me strong Prince of Persia parkour nostalgia. Man, those were the days.
The traversal is actually cool. Last time I was pole vaulting this much I was playing Heretic 2.
I hope this genre keeps growing.
This character feels like they made a Mortal Kombat Raiden and Metal Gear Revengeance Raiden joke and went with it, combining the two.
You are loved and respected. I hope you continue to grow and thrive.
Loved by who ? The devs who miss the sales because he shows the entire game content on release day ?

lol We love him.

I’m sure you’ll get your chance to play those gems.
Very amazing, i love the PS2 ambient this games gives, these Megastructure games truly have interesting concepts with the parkour gameplay!
2:02 Damn, robo is THI CC! His clapping must be alerting all the guards three infinite megastructures over!
Kinda loving the trend of climbing games
Yeah, megastructure climbing fans have a lot to shout about lately. Long may it continue!
Megastructure platformers are starting to become my favorit new genre thats been popping up more and more recently
Bruh u one of my favorite youtube channels
Thank you very much! Glad you like it! :)
aww, I like the white monster at the end that steals your marshmallow. He seems chill.
Awesome game. It gives me Stray vibes, only without the felines.
Reminds me of the Dwemer ruins in Morrowind with some Kenshi as well
Oh my sides😆
Excellent demo for the devs👏
Please indie devs, bring us more of ''climbing megastructure/colossus'' games!
and please, do it in 2D too
looks like one of those obscure wii-ware games that were really good

As soon as I hear "Megastructure" I am hyped AF like sm0l kiddo
This is the kind of games speedrunners love
This is just better version of Lorn's Lure
Wow! If I would have a nickel for each time a Post Apocalyptic Upward climbing indie game was released, I would have 2 Nickels which isn't much but it's weird that it happened twice!
Congratulations to Kenshi and Lorn's Lure on having a baby! Looks awesome :)
This feels like the 4th 'climb through a sewer' indie game we've seen in a year
i love the 2000s era game aesthetic, its so underrated
This looks freaking fantastic. Love the atmosphere. wishlisted.
strong Kenshi vibe
Wish there a BLAME! type game
Have you tried Lorn's Lure?
A game based on that setting could be good. I just can't imagine a direct adaptation of the manga working well as a video game.
imagine a game like this but something is after you.
Reminds me of Blame!
Is it bad that this game reminds me of a better, moodier version of Metal Arms: Glitch in the System?
This looks freaking cool! Wishlisted
Is this Lorn's Lure for sane people?
the char is like kenji vibes!
I am surprised nobody in the comments mentioned lorn's lure.
The gameplay's quite different, but it does have a Lorn's Lure vibe. Feels like it could be set in the same universe!
wooooooo this looks amazing really Chill as Kark Game love it :3

Oh, it's sly cooper. gotcha
Altho I never liked climbing games, I'm glad that this genre gets attention, always with the fresh stuff!
This is a futuristic megastructural variation of pseudorigalia. It looks interesting.

Blame! Vibes
Is almost ironic that the more we advanced with games, the more people just then decided to go back
Reminds me of the 3D PS2 platformers that I used to play like Crash Twinsanity and Jak: The Precursor legacy.
Maybe my memory is failing me, but the graphics kind of reminds me of Metal Arms Glitch In The System.
I'm not familiar with that game, but it could be an inspiration. The dev has said the visuals are inspired by games from the early 2000s
was there a parkour gamejam i missed hearing about? we've had quite a few of these as of late
i really appreciate how you don't do the common youtuber thing where they stream of conciously narrate the entire time with the most obvious and banal description of the game and what they are thinking/doing.
Instant Time Splitters 2 vibes
It seems to me Kenshi 3’rd person be like 👍
Look great
8:30 oh what a cute little robot i hope we can talk t... 8:38
Oh wait nevermind, everything's fine
Why did the first robot come here if it doesn't have 4 more batteries?
reminds me of Kenshi, but as a climbing game
Robot Ico with pole.
