- Nicole Nikki O'Neil is a Mattel fashion doll, one of Barbie's best friends. But Her character debuted in 1996 as part of the "Teen Skipper" line. Nikki was originally released as Skipper's first African American friend. But Since 2005 she has replaced Christie as one of Barbie's friends. So Nikki begins to oust Christie and become one of Barbie's best friends.

mattel had to change the characters, guess why?, because they were all skinny so the inclusion had to do directly or indirectly
@@victoruribe1474 u dont think so..... But yes,Mattel it is bankrupt and no longer has the beauty of before... but I think it could have inclusion (Ken with vitiligo for example) but articulated, that's what it lacks... quality.
