The Tragopan hides are the best in the business to be honest. Excellent quality. My only gripe is the lack of extra options. For example, it would be great to have choices of different camo patterns that can be swapped out for the Monal V2 etc. Winter, Spring, Summer, Forest, Meadow, Lake reeds and Rushes, Field Straw bales etc. Options to maybe purchase the rain cover in different patterns to blend in better. Adding a netting on the outer walls to attach real local grass, reeds and other material to blend in better and to break up the clean liners of the blinds would be great. a Tunnel accessory to connect 2 Monal V2's would be really useful for field trips and wildlife courses.
This one, small compact and does the job. It can be used standing up, sitting down on the ground on a pillow or on a small foldable chair. One of your earlier videos convinced me to buy the Monal and it arrives Monday. I can't wait! Thanks for all the insights and another great episode, Espen! I noticed the floating blind is not available in the US site. Is there a reason it isn't sold in the US?
Thanks Todd, glad to hear it! Might be to do with weight and shipping, if you're interested you're best to send an email through the website and maybe something can be arranged :)
im in desperate need of one of these lol currently been using a bush craft hide to photograph foxes badgers and roe deer but since it docent have a roof been going out at 3am and getting soaked lol
Sorry for the delayed reply Cheyne, the popup hide will be great for a kingfisher project. I use a Globetrotter MeFoto myself that I got as it was lightweight for travelling. Lots of good brands out there like Gitzo and Manfrotto. I don't use a tripod often enough to recommend one, but wildlife shooters usually go for a gimbal head.
@@SuperTragopan no problem at all and thank you, I went and got the popup hide and I love it. I do have a tripod but it's not a gimble head or anything like that. To be honest most of the time I shoot handheld. Just wondered what was recommended 😁

Those laying down hides are amazing 🤩

I love mine it takes your photography to a whole new leval
Bought the V6 with matching chair, Brilliant used sitting in & lying down using low view points. Very good not cheap but well worth paying extra
That is a variety, thanks Espen

I like the the look of the V6 ...
You can always make your own!

Good ideas 👍 At the moment we do have camo nets that can be used over for the different seasons :)

@@22035 Great to hear it! I only use a tripod when I'm in a hide or sometimes for filming myself. Like the freedom of handheld too much :)
Great review, but is the backpack will be reproposed for sale ?
yes, we will come back with a new version at some stage in 2021...but Covid has slow done the process...
Do you know if Tragopan plan to release a chair hide?
yes we are working on something....will be available in second semester of 2021
The cap is terrible.
Wow...perfekt.

Just ordered a ghillie suit
From my experience it doesnt matter which one i choose because Tragopan never reply to my enquiries. Very disappointing!
