Hey Alana, we have used a saucer of water rather than a jar for our propagation, but if you do decide to go for a jar instead just make sure you're picking one that's an appropriate size for the kūmara you're growing from ^Meg

If your kūmara hasn't sprouted in 4-6 weeks, it might be time to start over. Make sure it's warm, gets sunlight, and stays moist (but not soggy). ^Cam
