i think selling slightly used paints is great, i have in recent months bought quite a few used tubes and pans from someone on ebay, and its a great and more affordable way to try out paints you wouldnt have the money for otherwise!
I love that you went through your paints to try and use the neglected paints🥰 I think selling your unwanted tubes is a really good idea. It puts any pressure to use them off you and someone who loves the colors get a nice deal. I also want one of these palettes but I really want to see what all I have before adding another to my stash.
Hello Irit... I've been so busy with work (manic actually ☹:) but I really need these videos...I LOVE palletes... I just ordered the 20 well one from your site... I love the sloping wells... and as for price?! fantastic... and postage? sheesh...US$2!?!?! I couldn't believe how low the postage was... any Aussie fans out there thinking about it, just go for it... life is too short and you gotta love a great postage deal... I've got some days off coming up and I plan to just chill out and play... and check out Irit's videos... take care Irit... and thank you for all you do...
I know I've mentioned it before, but if there's someone new around who would love to try that Sennelier Emerald Green but prefers paint in tubes: The Rembrandt Emerald Green is very similar. It's slightly cooler and more transparent compared to Sennelier, but it's not at all a deep phthalo green, but bright and light, and very minty. With a touch of a cool PY53 (or perhaps even with a slightly warmer PY53) it's a dead ringer for the Sennelier one! 😄😍
I think it’s a great idea to sell the paints you know you don’t like and won’t use. I personally do this sort of thing often. Every six months to a year I’ll go through my things and if I haven’t used it in the past 6 months I’ll search it out and play with it and if it don’t spark joy it’s time to pass it on to a new home who will use it. This allows me to declutter and have a few extra dollars to buy a new item that I have wanted to try.
Great video as always, I’ve been meaning to ask have you ever tried the Schmincke Red Opalite (803) I randomly found a tube at my local art store and have fallen in love with it. If you ever come across it definitely give it a try 🤗
I love that video a lot. I think I should try grey titanium, I prefer it as a cool version of buff titanium. I am interested in some tubes you are selling
I risked the tube of Emerald Green and it was a total fail lol... Also, it only lists one Phthalo pigment, but doesn't at all behave like one, so I'm pretty sure it also has white in it. Such a pretty hue and easier to use than a Phthalo though, maybe eventually I'll try the pan version.
It does look like it has white in it, and I know brands are not obligated to list white... But it is surprisingly transparent. Sorry you got a dud tube! So annoying 😩
Hi, I really enjoy watching your videos and learning from them. I just ordered the Amazonite Genuine that you mentioned and hope to love it and enjoy painting with it.
LOVE Amazonite Genuine! It's also a great color to mix with any reds to create beautiful shades of violet! Honestly, Daniel Smith's "special" colors are absolutely stunning. They burst and bloom into different hues. I'd recommend buying the 266 dot card off Amazon to try each of their colors and swatch a small rectangle with the wet on wet technique.
I really enjoy your pallet set up video's. I am definitely going to get out my granulating medium. I'm really curious about mixing it with Qor paints. I wonder if it's so interesting because of their binder? Great video! 💖
Your comment on sennelier emerald green really caught me. My tube of it is unusable, all binder despite my many attempts to mix. I squeezed out and mixed three half pans in January and they are still sticky underpigmented messes. There is some left in the tube that I may be able to salvage but I was so frustrated I contacted sennelier who never replied. It's made me cross (obviously!)
Yup, super annoying to get a dud. I think maybe the seller/shop you purchased from is sometimes better to contact than the manufacturer. They can easily refund you or replace the item. Very annoying!
Hi Irit……..have been watching your channel for awhile….as a result….my studio area is beginning to look allot like your paint trays! I love it! Love your work….Question…..my friend has a set of Lukas 48 pan watercolors brand new and she wants to get rid of them…….i will probably buy them from her. Do you value this brand? Are they good watercolors? I think they are…i see that you use allot of their colors. Please advise . Thank you
Hey Lynn! Glad to have you here 😀 I think Lukas is a good brand quality and value for money wise. Personally I haven't found a lot of colors in their range that really appeal to me. So if you find colors you love or want to try their range, you should go for it. The quality is good. Hope that helps!
Hi Irit. Enjoyed your video. I am interested in paint you might be selling, depending on the colors. Also, what is the brush you use for the swatching?
I would be interested in the watercolour purge! Seems a great way to try things I am not willing to spend full price on.
Good to know!
Lovely fun set of videos. Thanks for sharing and showing us some cool colour combinations.x.

I would be interested in your watercolor purge as well. I am just getting started and would love to try out some paints in this way!
That yucky yellow could be my next favourite yellow. I am into earth colours. I need to investigate.
I have it and it is beautiful color to work with if you love earth tones. :)
Absolutely! One woman's yucky yellow is another's dream yellow! It is very earthy and transparent 😀
You know I’d be interested 🤣I’ve mentioned it before lol it’s not just the lovely paint it’s the fact that it once belonged to you 😊

Wow.. I"ve not heard of that one... I must check it out. I like Schmincke - great product.
@@jeanettegillings7202 i think it was limited edition, so if you find a tube definitely give it a go! :>

measuring is a waste of time lol
the colours look good, great choices it seems for a palette

Hi!! Tubes are the most economical option 😀
I mean from you 😅 The tubes you were thinking of selling yourself, that you don't like 😉
oh sorry, I misunderstood. I will let everyone know in case I decide to do that :)
Love your videos..!!
Thank you, I'm glad 😀❤️
