Pure Sound and start up! The Trusty or type H is British motorcycle made by Triumph in Coventry, England with a 499 cc air-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine with side car.
Certainly not a 1915. 1919 or 20, as it appears to have sidecar lugs incorporated into the frame and I don't believe they were introduced until after the war. I quite agree about the later gear-change arrangement: a great improvement on the WW1 type which were mounted directly on the gearbo
A nice bike, but the Hs are all 550cc, not 499. The model was introduced in 1915 for military use, but this one has a later gearbox and transmission, so it is likely 1918 or 19. To my mind that is not a disadvantage because the later gear selector system is much sweeter than the original version. It starts and sounds just as an H should!
the best film of a model H i have seen !
