I know that it seems obvious to you, but that's cuz you're familiar with with a look for. To some people that guy was just holding a device it could have been a cell phone. They only saw it out of their peripheral. They're used to minding their own business cuz that's what people should do and they're not familiar with computers. They don't have that kind of money. They don't buy those kinds of things. I'm certain that that same guy who was oblivious to this because it's not something he's interested in or doesn't have enough money to participate in, knows a whole bunch of stuff that you would have no clue about. Knowledge is largely impartial and certainly not omnipotent, and most of it is guaranteed to be circumstantial to your environment (parents, available income, regional location, interests)
@@TheCompdept I think you'd find it's a bit of the opposite. If something looks suspicious or "not normal" (such as a device with an exposed board or a big antenna) people are *more* suspicious of it. It also doesn't take knowing anything about it to connect those dots (if anything, he'd probably get blamed even if he wasn't the one doing it.) He also wasn't holding it nor does it look like a cellphone.... It was a straight up yardstick sticking out of the side of his laptop/tablet.

If I was at the fast food place the first time it happened it would only take me a couple of seconds to find out what or how all the pagers go off if not originally by them laptop dead give away. it would be funny ass hell if it was super packed and they all were set off. 👍👌✌️💯💻⚒️

So many different systems, but usually the paid ones are hard wired with a ticket or payment system and rfid/nfc for people with passes. You could copy a pass if you have one.
