they should use a break neck trailer thats the best way to do it and the only way to do it and trust me i know we only launch through the surf in South Africa
don't deflate as we are not driving any real distance, stay on the hard sand don't leave car running on wet shinny sand as the vibrations will make your wheels sink, be quick don't mess around.
yes your right, this was a club member launching a new member. ill get someone to film me one day launch / retrieve my 5.1mtr Quinnie. i have remote anchor winch, i drop the boat in press a button and the boat anchors itself while i park. retrieving is as easy as i beach the boat reverse the trailer up to it hook the 6000lb electric trailer winch to it and as i walk back to the car i am winching the boat up, its remote too. i get in the car and as i drive out the transom leaves the sand and is being winched on the trailer. retrieved in under a 30 seconds.
How do you retrieve? Over here in Pacific City Oregon we run dories up at speed on the beach then crank them up on the trailer while on the sand.

Not a good way, detach trailer and push it into water. Saves the car from corrosion.
when you fish often a 4wd purchased just for launching is a good investment, 2000 dollars and a good wash each time you will get 4/5 years from it.
