Great work on modifying the prow and stern posts, Harry. I think this boat will come alive when you work your magic on the woodwork. You probably already know this, but vinyl-type figures can be made easier to paint if you undercoat them with a sealer of some sort. I've even read of people using PVA glue. I they are really vinyl-ly, like the old Airfix 32nd scale figures, any bending later will just flake the paint off.
Hi Harry! You really did a great job on the dragon and the ‘swirly bit’, and they look great. This is a great example of your scratch building skills, and shows how it can improve a model. I look forward to to the next instalment. Cheers mate!
The dragon heads were usually removable from what I remember when I studied them. Great work Harry, if I tried that it would have turned out oar rendus :)
Mike the Swede again Seems you got it right oarwise H The bow oarsmen control the the pull for the sods backwards pulling straight or port / starboard is syncroniced by the bloody wallaby poking his stick in rythm The front pair double oars should be forward to get the pull and our tailenders oarsmen just pulling out Otherwise there will be....upon them !
Looks great Harry . Those changes really lift the overall look of the ship.
Thanks Brian I hoped they would
Well worth the effort Harry.
Thanks Nick
Harry, you are doing an amazing job on your "Drakkar" It is a lovely little kit, and you've done it proud. Odin will be pleased.
All hail Woden!
Wow the head and tail look way better than the original ones. With the small curve near the head it looks way more streamlined, love it
Thank you Mark. I’m so happy it turned out as well as it did

Great tip. Thanks Doogle

Thanks Gary.. it was a lot of fun to make.
Turned out nicely Harry.
Thanks John
Amazing scratch building here, Harry. The ship looks so much better with your changes!
Thanks matey… I really enjoyed making the spiral
Nice touches just bought a Atlantis Viking ship to build someday thank for the tips.
My pleasure Horton
I like the changes. Do not forget the way their stools should be with the longest part of the seat parallel to the keel.
Ah that makes better sense
Bonjour Harry mate awesome bit of scrap work , always great fun building when you have passion 😊😊😊😊 have a good one 👍👍👍👍
I think I was a berserker in a previous life
Great bit of modding there Harry! 👍
This is coming along really well.... 😃
Thanks Steve 👍 This is the kind of modelling I enjoy most.
Bloody hell mate, that's impressive.
You lost me at the big spiral picture but I'll watch it again 😜
Yes that bit was over explained… I should have cut it down.
Chocolate Viking fafffing went very well, good decision. Great vid work too.
And only half the calories of an egg Dave!
Thanks for another great presentation. Good to learn things rather than being told about some ungodly expensive aftermarket items.
Always fun making your own parts Eugene
@@HarryHoudiniModels Yes, been doing it since I was Lad of 12 years, also unfortunate kitbashing .
Great adaptations Harry! Looking foward to more.

Great work Harry, if I tried that it would have turned out oar rendus :)
I tried removing mine… but it hurt my neck, so I needed a lie down :(
The changes look really good Harry.
Thanks George
Really hot water to soften plastic before curving it works well Harry
Yes it does, and excellent for larger parts, but small fine pieces can be worked cold, just as I showed, quite successfully.
Excellent work with that dragon tail!
Thank you very much Pablo
Hi Harry, Nicely done👍🏻
Thank you Yves… Cheers!
Top shelf work, Harry - great stuff.
Hang on… I’m too short to reach the top shelf LoL
One could add sealskin sealed fermented fish !!!! even a stove , birchstrings and deer taurpaulings protecting our Emhar angry heroes !
Bask would like the fish
Keep it sealed to prevent Bask getting entangled in the rigging! In other words No Cod casting !!
Nice work Harry!
Thanks Richard

Maybe you are just over thinking it LOL
Jesus Harry I couldn't make heads nor tails of all of that
It is a twirly one best figured out with a slide rule
Nice work Harry guy
Thanks Edwin… its a fun old kit
