@@ScottsStuff14 look forward to it! Can you answer how difficult it is to actually remove the arms from the socket on wolverine? Did you have to heat him up quite a bit?
great idea. but knowing Hasbro. THEY will eventually give us the sleeveless version with battle damage look. and for Deadpool the battle damage with un-masked or halfmasked head.
Great idea, man! I was just wondering, would the tomar/tomax arm fit in the Wolverine shoulder? Like separating the biceps and swapping them with the shoulder.... Might save time, unless there's a fitting issue or somethin lol
Sorry for the delayed response, the pegs are slightly different connecting to the biceps. You can techincally make it work if you heat up the bicep enough, but on the sleeved arms the bicep cut is straight across and on the Tomax arms it is curved and thus combining the two theres a noticeable gap
@@rashidhumine that’s the next thing I got to figure out. The shoulder pads are part of the shoulder so I got to slice those off and somehow attach them to the new shoulder
Yes, that’s what I was doing but I was being more so cautious by shaving down the forearm. Now a guy on Reddit commented on my post and said he was able to get the gauntlet all the way on the arm just by using hot water so it is seems possible
The shoulder joint difference is a bit annoying. I just remembered I also have the tank top Logan and did some investigating. It is the same “actual butterfly joint” that the gi Joe has. So it has the same short pegged joint. A brand called “hobby base” has custom joint parts if you wanted to drill out and make a more solid ball joint for the socket I might use them. I wonder if there are some other arms out there that already have that faux butterfly joint longer ball-peg. I know the temple of doom Indiana jones had that type of joint but i doubt he’s muscular enough.
I do like this new ball peg with the butterfly cap system, but it was for sure a surprise to encounter it on this release. My only thought is maybe you could slice at the hinge of the shoulder and remove the hinge and peg and try to swap that on the other shoulder. I’m going to at least check when I get home to see if the hinges are roughly the same size
@@JKevz1 I’m with you on that! In my other video I rigged up a way to use the shoulder pads because the animated series look for Wolverine is my favorite
Thanks for the video am waiting on mine in the mail. Was going to use the hugh Logan arms you had there. What I am curious about is the peg for the hugh arms Is it the same as the hgi Joe or would jt be more compatible. Also almost more curious about the skin tone match on the face of the Logan arms vs the hi Joe ?
@@MrSeanRogers I didn’t mention it in the video, but with either arm option you’ll need to snip a little bit off the peg (to where it’s roughly the same length as the sleeved arm peg is) and the wrap it with tape or use sticky tack. Skin tone wise I think either can work. The tank top Wolverine I showed in this video is actually the original release and not the newly rereleased Deadpool Legacy one because those arms are on my ZD Toys Wolverine. The original figure is paler than the new one and the new one is very close to the GI Joe arms. They may have a slight pinkish hue to them, but it’s close to the head sculpt color. Hopefully all that and this video helps you out!
I wonder if the Thor Love and Thunder arms would work better since it doesn't have the shorter butterfly peg. Gotta compare to see if the arms are the same size as the tank top Wolverine.
@@ScottsStuff14 I had an extra and popped apart a Thor figure. Comparing them beside the Logan arms, they are a bit bigger, but not overly so. It might reflect how ripped Jackman was in that scene a bit better. The peg may need to be shaved down to fit in the new butterfly joint better, but the longer peg should fit into the slot in the new Wolverine torso. Can't wait to get mine to try the swap.
