I was just thinking about in 7th grade we buried a time capsule and I thought this is such an interesting year with the pandemic and the masks and all of this. It would be kind of interesting if you guys buried a time capsule in your yard somewhere or even off secret off property where the kids could always find it even if you sold the house. I think it would be so fun to find the stuff I put in ours. You could have the kids record messages to themselves in the future. So many cool ideas!
You know Anna, you could get a washing line in the garden, a rotary isn't too invasive, it is so much better for the environment and smells lovely and fresh too
I think you're right that it's better for the environment but it is also a lot more work for her. I worked ad an Au Pair for a year and the family had only 2 children and they were 8 and 10. So, they probably didn't need as many clothes as Andrea and Alessia. And I can tell you, I 'only' had to do the washing like 3-4 times a week for a household of 5 in total and it was exhausting! Washing and Hanging up 10 sets of school uniforms plus the PE clothes plus clothes the kids wore on the weekend plus swimming clothes etc.... I wish we had a tumble dryer. It felt like a never ending story. And I think it's totally fine for Anna to have that kind of "luxury" because sometimes I feel like she's in the kitchen all day anyways😂 at least this is what it seems like in some vlogs. I honestly don't know how she manages to do all this and spend time with the kids😅 probz to Anna

As for the garden, I wonder if your town keeps old building records? Maybe there was a barn or workshop built back there long ago?

You need to clean the whole washing machine regularly. I do it at least weekly and after at big day of washing or washing gross things like pet items using white vingear or a washing machine cleaner. Most machines have a self clean / drum clean setting which cleans the drum and the all the tubes that take the old water out. Alternatively if your machine doesn't have a self clean setting you can put on a hot as it goes wash with vinegar.

I don’t know how old the house is but they used to have coal cellars that the coal man delivered by horse and cart but the people of the house were able to retrieve the coal from a chute that went inside of the house into a bunker. Or if the house is pre war it could be an old air raid shelter. When builders are renovating houses and there are old outhouses they normally knock them down and bury it. We found a lot of builders rumble when we where having our gardens landscaped.
My granny lived in Liverpool during the war when the government put a bunker in every yard incase of bomb droppings. Can't wait to see if it's the same thing!

I'm south of london too, near the coast, and a lot of houses had bomb shelters as the germans weren't allowed to take any bombs back with them during the blitz. So a lot of Sussex and Kent would have bombs dropped randomly over the towns. My parents house still has the walls of the old air raid shelter that my great grandmother built during the war
It could be the coal hole. I grew up in a Georgian house and under our front garden was a 'hidden room' that had a vaulted ceiling like a wine cellar but it was designed for coal to be stored in x
