Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip 4 may look an awful lot like last year's Z Flip 3 on the surface - and make no mistake, this is a pretty incremental upgrade - but Samsung has made a few specific changes that make the Flip 4 a much more appealing phone.
By focussing on improvements to the battery and camera, Samsung seems to have fixed the biggest flaws of the Flip 3 - but is that enough to justify a slight increase in price?

Ordering my Z Flip 4 this week 👍
I have loved my Z Flip3 ever since I got it almost a year ago. The only negative things I have ever had to say about it are the battery life and camera needing improvement, so I'm really happy it seems they've made those changes. I already have the Flip4 preordered and I can't wait to get it!

I have the S 22 Ultra and the iphone 13 pro max, but something made me buy the Flip 3 a few months ago...cute phone but battery was trash, so I sent it back. However, I've said on previous videos, before the official introduction to the Flip 4, that if they improved the battery EVEN A LITTLE, I would buy it. So, I did! Can't wait to get it! Great video! xx
Happy to say that a few days in, battery is as good as I hoped - I'm ending the day with 30-40% still in the tank! - Dom
Yeah on the flip 3, it's poor battery life was keeping it from being the perfect phone.

as someone who dont spend the whole day with my phone, not addicted to mobile games also, i only bought flip 3 a week ago *flip 4 is too expensive for me* :D it lasted me for 12hrs. *enough for my day*. im really inlove with it. will definitely buy flip 6 :D
I am in love with the flip 4.The increase in battery capacity is awesome and the efficiency of the the new snapdragon processor is going to make flip 4 last more on a full charge.Absolutely Loved the video,Cant wait for your full review.

One weakness with the 3 as well was very blurry photos when taking photos of my active children. Which ruins capturing their spontaneous cuteness. With the improved image processing do you feel this will be less of an issue?
Samsung didn't tell me anything about working on that specifically. I now have the phone and can say that in my few days with it I've taken a fair few cat photos which have all come out great - animals obviously another tricky subject that won't stay still! So it hasn't been a problem for me so far, but I haven't been testing for that in particular - Dom
My only issue with the Flip 3 is the small cover display and Flip 4 didn't fix that. I carry two phones (Razr 5G & Flip 3). I'm good with battery life. I rarely take photos.
Ah, see I quite like the small cover display! Enough for notifications, which is all I need it for. I wouldn't want it any larger - Dom

How is the screen protector, is it going ti crease and begin a series of phone calls to have it replaced?
@Evan Munday I had to send my flip 3 in to hVe the protector replaced but plan on trading for the 4 because then I can have Verizon buy out my contract and get real customer service as where ATT has been awful through this whole process

@@Stonetemplepilot45 that's because you went with at&t for your repair you could have gone to a Samsung store it would be a straight replacement
@@meric12131415, I attempted both. All I have near me are UbreakIfix stores about an hour to 2 hours away, call ahead and nobody had parts, tried to go 3rd party, and same issue.
People with service through other companies have posted that their provider just outright replaced their phone rather than having them send it to Samsung.
Att/Asurion wouldnt do anything to help aside from either having me pay 275 or mail it in to Samsung so while they fix it, I'm stuck with a 30 dollar flip phone after months of fighting Att/Samsung over repairing the phone.

what kills the longetivity of a battery is constantly using a fast charger and also not fully charging the phone
that’s not completely true - fast charging isn’t very good from your phone, but not fully charging it extends the battery life. samsung has a feature IN THEIR SETTINGS that is there to increase battery life in your phone. all it does is make sure your phone doesn’t charge past 85%, because fully charging it can cause excessive heat and energy release - thereby causing unnecessary strain the the longevity and life of the physical battery.
Not gonna lie the upgrades are underwelming. Could have have better cameras and tried to reduce the 'gap' of when folded. The main feature i would have liked would have been a larger external screen

And you believe Samsung with what they told you? They told us that the S22 Plus could refresh between 120hz and 10hz but they were wrong.
Are you worried Samsung lied to me about the size of the battery or the chipset they used? I highly doubt it. And the camera comparison comes from my own photo samples! - Dom
