Look at the way he smiles and jokes before the game with a Real Madrid player. He didn't care about rivalries or trophies or statistics. He played because he truly loved the game, he makes mistakes during matches and smiles and shrugs them off he just wants to play. I don't think anyone today has that genuine and child-like love for football that he did.

Messi doesn't play against players like baersi, maldini,cafu and so many more. I don't know if Ronaldinho is the G.O.A.T, though in my humble opinion he is. I am a Barca fan and i love what Messi does on the pitch while also respecting the brilliance of CR7. But there is this nostalgic feeling deep inside my heart the comes over me when i think about and watch Ronaldinho videos that i don't get with any of the other greats that have graced the pitch with their brilliance, i can't explain it. Its as if this nostalgia i feel is a realization that i have seen something so unique, so rare, so special, that i likely won't ever witness again in my lifetime. It makes me happy but at the same time sad, and i get teary when i get this feeling. Ronaldinho transcended football like non other before him. When you think of all the great's their is always something that you associate to such players, that "something" usually ends up being a measurable statistic,for Messi, Ronaldo and CR7 is the unprecedented rate in which they score. Ronaldinho wasn't this prolific scorer (though i think he could have been if he chose to do so) What Ronaldinho had cannot be measured, he made you feel like a kid again just be watching him play, he reminded you of the love of football you had and made you remember it if somehow you had forgotten it. He is the greatest not because there isn't a trophy he didn't attain but rather because he played football at the highest level with the joy and passion of a backyard game. No player before or since has brought forth those emotions from me. The joy of watching him play at his peak even if just through a T.V screen coupled with the painful realization that the curtain is closing in on his career knowing that i probably won't be alive when the next ronaldinho graces the pitch is in my humble opinion why he is the Greatest of all Time.

Ronaldinho is a football genius, please don't compare him to anyone else, he may not have the best stats, he may not have scored the most goals, hell you might even say he was not the greatest of all time, thats all good. Pele was one of the best but the only reason was his goals. Ronaldinho didnt score that much goals as Pele but he had skill many assists and he was in good (best :)) club. Ronaldinho and Messi will always be the best with Pele but Ronaldinho just takes the cake. Hes The God of football not Pele. Hope that someone will understand me.

watching championsleague was never as exciting as when ronaldinho played for barca. it was better than the best movie i could imagine (lord of the rings or the hobbit). it was so insane to watch this man play. everything he did was perfect and magic , everything he touched with his feet went platinum.
i always remember the goal he scored against chelsea. standing at the 16 m line and noone dared to attack him, because they didnt want to look like fools. so he danced a bit and lifted the ball with his peak in the left corner. no1 was moving. everybody was staring. i guess no player ever spread so much fear, awe and respect among his opponents. for one good reason. he was the best player ever and he very seeminlgy will stay the best player. because it cant get any better.
