My life during my HS years was heavily shaped and inspired by SHINee.
What makes them a great group is that they know that they are in a business and that they must put their business first before themselves. This system works well for them that you can never see them slack off in whatever it is they do even when they get the short end of the stick.They kept on improving and improving all through these years. The fact that there are also just five of them in the group makes it easier for their handlers and Onew to manage them so they shine individually without sacrificing the image harmony of the group. They are also very honest but are discreet with their actions being very careful not to cause scandals. They may nt be SM's best selling artists but as a group they are the best in many aspects such as their overall artistry and CD perfection live singing while doing difficult choreographies. I have nothing but admiration for the group.
Yes you are right they actually were able to adjust them selves and not to cross each other boundaries and not to revealing each other secrets to the media like what super junior members used to do and they have a very good team work every one would cover for the other that is why they lasted for such a long time

Their longevity will be that...not that selling at #1 isnt important, but think being seen as experimental has given them more freedom than most Kpop groups as they try new things and learn new things all the time. He had a taste of success with his solo album and he was not blinded with the temptation that he can be on his own now, he's rooted to Shinee, apparently.
Shinee has always stood out to me as having a unique dynamic. At first I thought it was a little strange but I've grown to truly appreciate it. They seem to have a genuine and mature respect for one another. And really see each other as equals. It's admirable.

I have checked lots of SHINee clips and I really think that the depression got to him the last two three years. In earlier shows you could see he enjoyed doing them and he looked like he enjoyed himself but the more recent ones he looks so hollow and serious in them. Sad that no one noticed this chance. Sad that he had to go the way he did, if only he'd known that there was a way to conquer depression and that wasn't in depending on others but understanding that it's you who has to do it on your own. I'm speaking from experience. I've also always depended on others to help me through my depression but Ive learned that the only way to conquer it is by doing it yourself and knowing that relying on others will only make u dissapointed even more. It's really sad, I can't imagine how the members are feeling now. I can't imagine a smile upon their faces anymore.

But that's the problem with people who have depression. They feel they need to handle everything on their own so they don't become a burden to those they love. It does help if someone is there to listen to them or just there so they know they are not alone. If you have been a long time fan of SHINee you would know Jonghyun never hid his depression from the fans and the general public. In fact, it's also known that Onew has depression too. If anyone understood Jonghyun the most, it's his leader. Because he knew what Jonghyun was going through, he took the news of his passing the hardest out of the whole group. The other 4 are noticeably affected too. How could they not be? That's their brother and band mate. Depression is not the same for everyone. Some can fight and help themselves out of their mental stress but some can't do it any longer. They just want the pain and emptiness to end. This was the case with Jonghyun. What you said about trying to help themselves out of it can only do so much. If there is no therapy or understanding from others, how can they have the will to live on? What you said is not that simple for everyone to grasp. You need to learn that yourself.

The only difference is I battled for 4 years and finally got the right meds. I wish you did too. I'm on this roller coaster of emotions, I'm sad for a while then happy watching memories of you then devastated again. You were so beautiful and kind and just such a lovely human being. If anyone understood Jonghyun the most, it's his leader. Because he knew what Jonghyun was going through, he took the news of his passing the hardest out of the whole group. The other 4 are noticeably affected too. How could they not be? That's their brother and band mate. Depression is not the same for everyone. Some can fight and help themselves out of their mental stress but some can't do it any longer. They just want the pain and emptiness to end. This was the case with Jonghyun. What you said about trying to help themselves out of it can only do so much. If there is no therapy or understanding from others, how can they have the will to live on? What you said is not that simple for everyone to grasp. You need to learn that yourself.
