Olentangy Liberty and St. Xavier met in a heavily anticipated D-I State Semifinal matchup on Saturday which would finally settle the score between the squads. Both entering the game 25-1, the teams split their two regular season matchups and it was the Bombers who would weather the early storm from Liberty, winning three straight sets to win 3-1 and advance to the championship game.
Caden Whiteside led the Patriot attack with 14 kills on the day as they close out their season with a fourth straight State Tournament appearance and a new school record for wins in a season.
