I'm so happy you were able to get meds to help you on your way to good health again. Absolutely LOVE Margaret Ferguson...might have to go check this one out a little more closely and, dare I say, add to my stitching! Give yourself time to fully recover and enjoy those "one stitch at a time" moments! Happy Stitching!
I'm so happy that you are feeling much better!!! Your finishes are beautiful! Margaret is magnificent! I'm so excited about the sampler you are working on!!! Thanks as always and happy stitching!
A lovely video with all those pretties!!. So glad you are getting better. I did love the little adage on the spool about the first stitch. I'm always full of doubt at the start, will it look OK, does the linen look good, etc etc....so just loved that little piece. When I saw the new Manse sampler I was reminded of a line in some of the old novels I read about when the rector and his wife "..threw out a bow"...as in the windows of this sweet manse. Some of the people in the village found it alittle audacious etc...lol... Take care of yourself.
I live in Australia, but my parents live in Inverurie, so I'll have to stitch this one for them! I'm already working on Ann Gardner 1723, as that is my mother's birth name.🙂
Thank you Nicola, happy to hear you’re on the mend! Would you please tell me the names of the Etsy shops you discussed? I couldn’t catch the names. Thank you!
So glad you are on the mend! Just wanted to share, I've just about finished watching all your past videos. As a new stitcher, I've continued to learned so much, and continue to do so in today's video.
So happy to see that smiling face again! I love the bobby dazzler sampler - that border is fantastic! Only a few more weeks until we are all together again! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
As I watched your video, I noticed that the flower baskets in your new start, (Clara Ann)?, are almost identical to the flower baskets in one I am stitching right now, Ann Grant 1929. Very pretty.
I couldn't agree more, the fabric should not compete with the stitching, but be a background to showcase the stitching. Call me old school, but that is the way I was taught.
Hi Nicola, I live about 30 minutes from Harlaw House 😊 it was a lovely surprise to see a local sampler in your video! Inverurie is pronounced like “Inver-ooh-ree” xx
Nicola, I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better. Your work is stunning and I am inspired and in awe of what you accomplish. I just ordered all three of the wooden items you showed in this video. I am wondering if you would be willing to release your designs you used on the spools. I am anxiously awaiting mine and can't wait to personalize them.
Beautiful samplers x ❤️ for fox and rabbit linen here in uk go too Peakside needle works Sue stocks all there linen hope this helps 😀 lovely to see you feeling much better Nicola 😊 just checked and sue has it in stock 😀
Do you have any idea how remarkable you are? Do you,Nicola? I do not stitch,I merely love history. Funny thing, thanks to you,I offered you the schoolgirls of Ackworth book. You respectfully declined, and I found another cross stitcher who was honored to recieve it. And then, because I am enamored of mudlarking,I will be in the UK,to embark on this adventure, and one of my goals is to find old buttons,15th,16th,17th century buttons! Why? Because my friend who now owns the Ackworth book is doing a cross stitch called “Button,Button”. A wonderful remarkable circle, isn’t it? I will experience an adventure, and I will provide buttons to a stitcher. All because of that precious Ackworth book!! 😊😊😊
I am so glad you are beginning to feel better. ❤️ Your new sampler is stunning. I remember when you did a sneak peek. I will be adding it to my stash so I can stitch it. Do you think the beautiful flower boarder would fit around your scissor spool holder?
Please tell me the name of the heat-set product for your no sew spool. I'm not familiar with it, and hope to find it here in the U.S. I can think of several uses for it. Thank you, Sally Vogel

Hello it is Decovil Light
I've tried to find cockleshell fabric from Tabby Cat Linens on their website. Are they still producing that color? So happy you feel better!
It’s a new colour. If you email them they will supply it.
And are the other wood products available?
She has a really lovely range.
I can’t wait to stitch this one she is beautiful, that border ❤️ Just wondering what count fox and rabbit linen was used please?
It was 46ct Jane but you should stitch the sampler on your preferred count
🦋🌻
