- A rare and fine gem of a song from the late great Connie Collins of Meelin in County Cork and Meelin is just what this song is about and how proud he was of his native home place.
This song has been one of my favourite hits since first hearing on Galtee Radio a number of years ago in the village of Oola in Co.Limerick.
I hope you enjoy the song my friends and comrades.

Thanks for the Lovely comment about the late Connie.. Never met the man but heard him on Galtee Radio in Limerick a lot years ago and he instantly became one of my favourite singers at the time.. Lovely song about his native Meelin Village...I also remember a song he sang im sure it was called the "40 slaps" a very funny song..God bless him...🙏
