Love the wood on the Phoenix... definitely going for that on either a Phoenix or a Northwind... thanks for the ride!

Hey Kirk - Looks like a fun little run, thanks for taking us along. You are looking really comfortable with those ferries and eddy turns!

I’m working on it. Trying to get more comfortable to take a wilderness trip on a whitewater river up by you someday.

The last storm we had here in April which dumped a foot and a half of heavy snow took down a ton of trees and a lot of them fell across our local rivers. Nice looking day for a float on a beautiful looking river. You maneuver the Phoenix quite well. Are there trout or maybe smallmouth in that river?

Have all the down tress affected your fishing?
I don’t think there are trout but lots of Smallmouth and some Musky and Largemouth even.

@@backinthewoods2022 that sounds like my kind of river, would love to land a Musky from my kayak. I shy away from the smaller rivers but on the bigger rivers where the trees don’t go all the way across…. Fishing that kind of timber has been one of my favorite, most productive areas to fish. Always interesting to see what the spring floods have deposited on the river banks and in the outside bends, that kind of structure changes every year.
