Very nice & concise video.. we actually use your video for our staff training, so our team knows the objective & workflow of our clients - the Realtors®!
Hi there, I'm a web developer and new to real estate websites. I sure learned a lot from your video. I got a question, is the MLS database unique for every website or do they all connect in some way? Or MLS is just a name for the properties indexing function for every website?
Just to make sure, the MLS is only available to the agent who has access to it, because he/she bought it for a fee and then is able to show it to their buyers when searching for a house?
Hi, Amber. You nailed it on the head. The MLS is a paid service that is available to real estate agents only. They can use it to find specific properties for buyers and to list properties for sellers. They can also share this information to the buyer and seller. If you're curious about costs and fees, I would recommend you watch this video we made: ua-cam.com/video/h4AW--1q0m4/v-deo.html Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi great video..., I’ve just finished building a listings site and came across some UA-cam videos on how I need to have IDS installed but in order to do that I need MLS to get it?... I’d be so grateful for your advice, I only need this for a very small country, are the listings done through an API key ?
Redfin pulls its information from the MLS. So, MLS is the pure source. You'll get quicker access to more accurate and detailed information. You can also see the status of houses and tons of additional information that you wouldn't get when accessing Redfin. Hope this helps!

Im currently taking a course at ca realty but i cant find the mls website do i need a license to access the mls website? Btw. Rico, I didnt recognize you, you look younger with a beard.
Haha thanks! Currently rocking the clean shave right now but thinking of bringing the bear back. As far as accessing the MLS, yes you need a real estate license. Once you get it, the sky's the limit! How do you like the classes so far?
Oh, it took the wrong sense. Actually i lam preparing for my test and misunderstood the lesson so when i went thought your video, it explained my doubt. So it means, i am conscious and warn myself with this lesson to go through again on later date. Your videos are my favorite tool. Thank you for taking your personal time and creating real estate teaching videos.

Zillow and Redfin are not the same caliber as the MLS. They are abbreviated versions of the real thing and often have the wrong listing estimated land value. They get populated from data that comes from the MLS but it's not as thorough and detailed. Sending love from California!
My listing agent says she put my two lot vacant property in the MLS but when I check the MLS it doesn't come up under general criteria and area search and it doesn't show up on ZIllow. At first it showed up on trulia and now its not there. I have to put in my exact address and then it comes up but it won't come up for anyone searching for the general criteria and location with all of the other listings why is this?

Is the MLS System include the homeowners’ and buyers’ details?
Good question, Ingrid! The MLS does not include details about the homeowner and the buyer. Thanks for watching and I hope to hear from you again!
May i ask why do you need mls searching criteria when we can use redfin? Excuse my ignorance. Thank you

Good Day All, Does The Housing Inventory Come From Sellers Who Add Them?
The listing agent will be the one who places the listing onto the MLS for the seller. Hope this helps!

Where can I see all allowable disclosures for the MLS?
Greetings from down under. Zillows and redfin are MLS?
