Quality tutorial!! Some other channels on UA-cam could definitely learn from your example - outstanding clarity, a lot of detail mixed with a friendly style, not wasting anyone’s time with filler content, very nice!
Thanks for getting me started with Sunvox. Was a bit overwhelmed but this was really helpful.

I will take your sword, your men, and your hat, good sir
Too bad this does not do real time recording of notes like on regular midi sequencers. I would love that. I can use SunVox as a synth engine and use reaper or Ardour for real time instead of step record mode. I have seen Atari and Amiga trackers but you can not record live real time play with them either.. that ssuuuucks!
You didnt explain how to end a note
Yeah, I would like to know how to end a note too
@@thespicehoarder It's the ` key, under ESC :)
Great tutorial and I don’t want to take anything away from it but... anyone else think he sounds like Johnny Depp playing Willy Wonka? 😂
The choice stands between LMMS, Ardour and this.
LMMS is easy to figure out, with Ardour, setting it up for use is a learning curve, and SunVox looks like it will be avoided.
Fl Studio works with Wine, but the buffering is an issue there.
Whatever.
I argue sunvox is completely different from LMMS and thus fills a different niche. It's never going to become a mainstream DAW probably.
Fl is a very professional DAW. Not to even be compared to these "toys" or "games" like sunvox. These daws are fun but not for pro uses
@50 FL studio is used by many professional artists. Porter Robinson and Alan Walker just to name two. SunVox is an extremely horrible and non professional program that is limited. Name 1 professional well known artist that uses sunvox.
@50 Not exactly, Professional Artists use certain programs because they are professional. C'mon man stop arguing, look at your only video, you clearly have some problems.
@@Tjejify Sunvox has a non conventional workflow. Professionnals aren't used to this. Sunvox lacks userbase, most of the showcases are of the same music style. I'm sure you can do more than this. The possible sounds are infinite. (sorry for the english)
Tracking is the way it organizes like this. Not very clear.
Is this mobile?
It's available for both iOS and Android.
@@joel2258 Yes, tks, i have the Android version, but my screen looks different to this.
@@ianhinrichsendrummer2113 Oh I see, yeah I think the only difference is that the timeline and the modular don't show up together on android.
Do developers design tracker software to be as ancient and ugly looking as possible?
While it may look a bit dated on the outside, the design functionality is brilliant. That being said, trackers aren't for everyone. Either use it or find something else I guess.
@@calebcreates8555 fair point. I’ve used Renoise and Polyend Tracker. But this almost looks more like the complexities of the Bitwig grid with all those nodes.
Why would anyone prefer a tracker? I would rather use a Tamagochi ffs.
With all the great DAWs to work with. How in the world can anyone write music with this thing. Seems very counterintuitive if you ask me. Like reinventing the wheel. But the wheel got worse. But hey. Good video nonetheless
Why
Haha. This looks and sounds like a tutorial from 1981. Not her voice. Everything else. Her voice is really cute.
that is a man
you sound like you would look like syndrome from incredibles im sorry if you found that offensive
Hi ! great video. Honestly the best by far on sunvox :). Any help is appreciated, thank you.
I am actually having a small issue.. perhaps the solution is right in front of my face, but uni has been really tiring me out:
Does anyone know why my song won't save? I have received a pop-up that says:
can't save
log: ... dec 15 2020 15:57:26: driver Audio
Unit: 32bit floating point; sample rate; 44100... (etc) Can't open the file /Users/dsafdf/desktopcamera/tutorial.sunvox for writing
Error: Can't save tutorial.sunvox
Can't open file for writing.
Grateful to anyone who wants to give this problem a go.
