It may be just me, but I actually prefer videos without intros where the creator just hops right into it! Many times I just fast forward through intros.
I've never actually panned a make-up product in my life but I do have too much make-up so I am going to try to use up some stuff before adding more to my collection.
I love the NYX Glitter primer!! It works best when you apply the shimmer/metallic/glitter shadow while it is still tacky. If you let is dry, then it only works like a regular eye primer. I do a regular primer, my matte shadows, then one eye at a time with the shimmer. It prevents fallout and makes many shadows look more shiny.
@@laralikesmascarado you do your eyes or base first typically? This video might tell me haha but for me it’s mostly useful for the fallout. I don’t do my eyes first though so if you do, it probably wouldn’t matter since you can just wipe fallout away
@@laralikesmascaragranted it’s a huge plus for you if it’s not worth it. One less product needed in your collection!! I rarely use it so sometimes it annoys me to own, but I do appreciate it when I use glitter toppers so I keep it
Catching up on your videos now and I was going to ask you about your updated thoughts on the elf halo glow! Also love seeing a grwm from you and hearing more about the new job!!
Thanks so much Shawna!! I guess I didn't give much of a review of the halo glow but I do really enjoy it on really light makeup days - if I'm doing full face it doesn't really work for all over because it's *so* glowy. On someone less greasy it wouldn't be a problem, but I've had to figure out how to work with it.
I feel you! I'm also doing a PhD and trying to get my article published, whilst attending conferences, having renovations on my home and just overall life.. it's getting a lot. Congratulations on the job! Definitely a smart move to spend attention on the long term as well, even though it may feel like a lot right now
ooh best of luck!! I do feel like doing a PhD has allowed me more flexibility in other aspects of my life, because I make my own schedule, but like you it just means that I pack a lot of other stuff in! Renovations must be so hectic omg. Good luck with your degree going forwards!!
You are so inspiring Lara! I am almost 5 months I to my no buy after too many years of overspending. I hope to someday get my collection down to a more realistic number like yours.
Thanks for all your inspiring videos. I'm currently months into a quasi no buy. Didn't fully plan it but it turned out that way. I think I'm very much tired of the new and buying... I still look at new releases here and there but I don't feel any need to try anything new. It's all the same anyway

Good to know! I feel like I always have a lot to say in the intro but it’s probably not very necessary 😅
I completely used up a lipstick this week!!! It's the first time in my life i've ever managed that. 😊
Amazing!! This is just the beginning of the panning journey 😁

I just don’t find that it makes enough of a difference to be worth it! Like it marginallyyyyyy makes shimmers more shimmery but meh 🤷🏼♀️
