    Even though Bach’s influences were the old composers before him. But His counterpoint is far beyond all of them.

    Really interesting and beautiful music and playing. Are the harmonies not similar to Tallis's?

      Thank you for your kind words! I suspect that the polyphonic language of North-European composers had lots in common. I would even presume that Tallis‘s works were somehow known to Sweelinck. He definitely knew some freshly written English music; perhaps older generations‘ music had not escaped his attention either.

      You’re not wrong :) The method of producing the sound is basically very similar, and these instruments most definitely have the same roots.

      Plus, this is a muselaar, where the strings are plucked middle length, producing a "mellow/hollow" sound distinct from other members of the harpsichord family.
