- Which F1 team will Adrian Newey move to? Many people have been asking where will adrian newey go after it was recently the announcement that Adrian Newey is leaving Red Bull. Adrian Newey to Ferrari, Adrian Newey to Aston MArtin or Adrian Newey to Williams? All 3 of these are possibilities but where will Adrian Newey go at the end of 2025? In this video I will run you through everything that I saw in the paddock at the 2024 Miami GP!

I think he’s going to do a bit of sailing, a bit of touring and maybe take on an advisor/consultant role. I can’t see him wanting the 24 races a year routine. I would love for Newey to end up back at Williams. A nice way to finish up.
I don't think he has many track side responsibilities. He's probably there more because he wants to be than anything else.
It would be so sweet to see Newey at Williams again, and to see them having some success. Newey would potentially attract big sponsorship too. We will see.
Why Williams? I mean, it isn't the family run team Newey used to part of, it's now a completely different entity owned by Dorilton Capital, a private investment firm.

Like a lot of people I also think he will take off on his yacht as I saw a very good video of him going through the process to have it built, and he really seems to have a passion for it.
Nah... he wouldn't try to cut his Red Bull contract short if that were the case, he would just let it run until the end of 2025.

He's just keeping his options open and not committing/announcing straight away.
Perhaps this is part of the agreement with the early release? to not join/announce a new team until December/2025 to keep the P.R noise away from RBR losing staff.
@@TheDarkhorse82This is the answer that makes the most sense to me. The latest words from Adrian himself are that he wants to take a break, spend time with his family, maybe go caravaning through the French countryside, etc. However, in the meantime he has clearly been on a whirlwind of meetings with every TP and their mother, which he certainly wouldn't be doing if he planned to permanently retire.
I think he's already lining up his next team, and as you suggested, has either been asked or required by RBR not to announce anything yet. Meanwhile, he's taking his gardening leave now, and will spend some vacation time with his family, while he's working part-time on RB17 and attending a few races here and there. Later in the year, or perhaps right at the end of the season, we'll see the announcement of where he's going for 2025.

(Many Japanese F1 fans still remember Alonso referring to HONDA as 'GP2 engine' ＆ I want that memory replaced with good one when HONDA joins AMG in '26)
Aston has been ruled out apparently, he also didn't have a good time doing the A.M Valkyrie.
Its going to be Ferrari or maybe Williams if they offered him part ownership..
@@TheDarkhorse82 I hope it's Ferrari. I'm not a dyed-red Ferrari fan, but I think Williams (a team I love) would kinda be a step back, as he already worked for them in the past. He's like Lewis Hamilton: the only thing he hasn't done is working with Ferrari, although it would be a far greater challenge to take Williams and bring them back to the top again.

This sport, with all it's dynamics behind the scenes, is really changing my focus from purely an Aussie bias to a global F1 fascination. Social media being welcomed by F1 was a smart move.

He said in a Sky interview yesterday he wanted to take some time off away from F1 and go around France with his wife and the dogs in a camper van as his boat wasn't ready. Then he'll have a think about the next adventure. He also said that he doesn't need the money and is now working for the enjoyment. Who knows really. I'm hoping Ferrari, but we'll see.

Newey is the greatest F1 builder. Colin Chapman once held that reputation. It is impossible to be the best forever. Some brilliant, but totally unknown, engineering student is about to finish his PhD dissertation about the mathematics of racecar design. He will become famous soon. Very soon.

I am an American fan, I will not be sad to see Logan go if that’s what Williams decides. Do I want an American on the grid? Yes. But not one that’s only fighting their way out of last place every race.

I have a theory about the Red Bull situation.
Newey resigns throwing confusion into F1 in general claiming tiredness and loss of confidence in Horner. It’s well known that Horner yeerns to be a team owner so with Red Bull being somewhat destabilised by Newey and old man Verstappens shenanigans perhaps Horner Newey and the Thai majority shareholder could oust the Austrian side including Herr Dr Marko giving them full control. just a thought!
Well, this man will leave for a few months sailing turn and then get into building boats more seriously as he participated intensely in building his current one. Some people say there’s nothing more exciting than speed on water!
If anyone gets Adrian newey under contract, a williams tenure would be magical.

I personally think that he will simply retire at 65 and now wants to concentrate on his family and hobbies, which he never had time for, so typical for retirees. The only possible F1 interference I see is with Aston-Martin, close to his home. This choice can be influenced by Max if Max follows Honda, otherwise not.

Retirement is boring. Sure travel, play a bit but there's always a challenge missing. Something someone thinks can't be done.

Very surprised that no one has mentioned Audi as a prime candidate for Newley’s services. Perhaps they don’t need him… One thing is for sure, when Audi goes racing, in what ever format, they win.

Thanks for the extra bits as of late Kym. ALOT of editing, kudo's to that intrepid individual on your MASSIVE payroll, Ha. The Pro Drag racers in the States will stand near and behind the start line and watch the pairs go down the track. ALL of the competitors will swing their heads around to avoid being hit by gravel and rubber and goop in the eyes, when the cars launch off the start line using those huge slicks. I can tell you from experience, the rocks and debris coming off of those HUGE spinning Goodyear slicks can really wallop you good. It will make you step back, cursing out loud. Some rumors state that Adrian will leave F1 early 2025 but still be with Red Bull to complete the RB17 street legal supercar. So can he work in 2025 for another F1? Don't know. The reason he stood there is because all the reporters probably wanted pics since he is the latest news. As for Vettel, he should have retired earlier IMO. And Logan is not even close to Alex in driving skills. Williams should have never hired him.

I think A.Newey is done as far as F1 he told SkSports reporter that his wife and advise from his doctor to stop all that travelling for the sake of his health. Besides he has nothing to prove and probably is bored with his RedBull F1 so dominant that he has no reason to hang around in F1 and he’s 65 as well.

The man will be 66 when he's done at Red Bull, the only place he will go is his sailing yacht that will be delivered this year
He will announce his Ferrari deal before Imola. They will likely be putting ink on paper this weekend if they haven’t already. Ferrari CEO, Piero Ferrari the Chairman, John E, the president and head of Ferrari racing, etc are all in attendance this weekend. And it’s not just because of the NART tribute. He’s getting a cushy deal. Basically a super consultant role. He will finish his tenure with RB in Q1 of 2025, just in time to get cranking with Lewis, Charles, and the others on the next gen 2026 car. Source: Trust Me Bro…. But the writing is on the wall.

@@StevenQ74 he’s not tired of the pressure. He’s tired of the BS. He will accept a low stress role with the team, likely as a highly involved consultant if I had to guess. Someone who works from home 90% of the time, reviews designs, offers insight and direction, and pops into Marenello on a needed basis. Ferrari already has a very skilled and experienced aero team and technical team. I see Newey coming in to just sprinkle some sauce on the program, keep that competition scratch itched, and be to check off those two boxes he mentioned as his only regrets in his career which is being able to put his head together & work with Lewis and have his name attached to the most iconic motorsports team and brand in the history of auto racing by helping develop a car. I think it’s very possible he simply hangs it up as you imply, but I also think it’s highly unlikely considering he can lock in to another pay check that can provide another generation of Newey lineage some added wealth or buy himself another yacht.
This is not hard to work out. For years he has been open about working with Lewis Hamilton and now is there perfect chance to get away from dirty Horner. Ferrari clearly have the biggest pockets so it's a no brainer.
He doesn't need the money and doesn't want to live in italy.
He travels with Horner to every race. They are close.
