Hey friends! So after posting this video it was brought to my attention that another great mining UA-camr, Anonymous Miner, made a video on the same topic just a couple of days ago. After watching his great video, reaching out to him and thinking about it for a bit, I decided I will still leave my video up as his and my video are fairly different and complement each other quite well in my opinion. His being about setting up the auto start and disabling your password when logging onto windows, and mine being about disabling UAC and setting up task scheduler. You should all definitely go check out Anonymous Miners video and please subscribe and show him some love: ua-cam.com/video/bSntO_XDnng/v-deo.html Have any other windows tips or tricks? Please post them in the comments below! Check out this video on how to install and set up windows for mining (all settings!): ua-cam.com/video/TCa8PUU16zg/v-deo.html
Thank you! At the second demonstration you don’t remove the autostart file from the previous demonstration, not sure if your second example will work. More important for me where how to autologin?
@@leveltube10 I stopped the camera between to reset the stuff from the first example before I did the second one, don't worry :) I just didn't show that in the video because I didn't want the video to be too long. I actually have a video on how to set up windows and in there I show you how to set up a user account to get auto logon: ua-cam.com/video/TCa8PUU16zg/v-deo.html Good luck!
Hi Sebs, Is there a script that will restart your PC if an application like trex hangs? Or is there a command with in trex that will do this? Love your content!!! Was researching these topics yesterday. I have my rig set to auto log on and auto launch trex!!! Great job showing us how to do this.
A couple tips to make this quicker. UAC settings can be accessed by quick searching "UAC" in windows search. Also the startup folder can be acceded by opening a run box and running "shell:startup"
Just did this Seb. Setup my Cortana rig to now launch Afterburner and to run the bat as admin on startup thanks to your video. Never had an issue before absolute core clock since i never ran bats in admin. A quicker way to get to Startup programs: type RUN, "shell:startup" to jump to your startup folder.
Dude lemme just say your the man. Was having a issue with trex not running as admin and this video was the only solution I could find online. I had a space in file path name so quotations were needed. Thanks for all your excellent content brother.
I have moved over to T-Rex from Nanominer put in all GPU settings (as per your other video) and then followed these instructions. What a revelation. Thank-you so much Seb!!
oh my god, thank you so mucchh, the 2nd way is really helpful, ive been struggling a lot to make trex autorun on startup, and the 1st way is to risky for me too. im gonna share this tips in my community, keep the good work! thank you!
HELPFUL TIP: When creating the action, don't give the full path to the bat/exe just put the name of the script/exe and then put the path in the "Start in" option below. This helped me bc I run my t-rex miner from the D: drive.
Hey I’m having trouble setting this up, I also have my t-rex miner on another drive in my case being drive (H:). What I’m trying to achieve is for that admin message to not be there whenever I open it manually. Not when I log into windows or startup my computer but I just can’t seem to get it. I did as you said in your comment but I can’t seem to just get it.
I think in task scheduler you can set a delay for launching the software. Or you could of course do your overclocking straight in Trex miner and skip afterburner totally, I have a video on that: ua-cam.com/video/0F4xxcCAJVI/v-deo.html 😉
Yes you can :) you can make the CMD promt silent but I like to be able to cancel. The cmd window will close after the whole script batch file has been done. I also start the ETHlargementPill-r2.exe because I have a 1080 you do not need that line. :) Color 1 @Echo off Script cd.. cd.. cd.. timeout 30 start C:\"Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\MSIAfterburner.exe" Timeout 20 start C:\Users\****\Desktop\Gminer\mine_eth.bat Timeout 60 start C:\"Users\****\Desktop\ETHlargementPill-master\ETHlargementPill-r2.exe - Shortcut.lnk"
Nice tanks! I will try this but I will add a delay so PC has time to load before the miner kicks in. I saw that there is a option for that in actions. Do I say seconds in that window?
Excellent Tutorial, just what I was looking for, because my 2 rigs shut down for 5 hours due to a general power outage, and when aut-restarting It would not autostart the miners .bat, even if I put it in administrator mode, this video solved my problem, thank you very much Seb! ✌😁
THANKS! Since my rig crashes periodically... first method does not run. Second method (with the scheduler) works perfectly. No more wasted time after crashing and restarting.
Thanks, this helped me with my issue of autostarting Flameshot on windows as admin! Do you perhaps know how to delay Flameshot screenshot trigger, or how to delay programs and an input?
Great content. I tried both of the ways. I decided to use a task scheduler. While creating a task to run a bat file, you need to add folder name before "folder/trex.exe" in the bat file.
nice tip bro, also u can make it easier to add files to startup folder by write the follow: hit run >> shell:startup you should be there at startup folder for automation process. thx for your staff they are detailed and great. keep it up bro.
I put timeout 15 at the beginning of my .bat files that auto start. That delays the miner starting for 15 seconds while Windows loads all it's background stuff. It may or may not help but probably a good practice.
I just made your GPU mining frame. It's great. So chill, even if I only have 8 fans on the front to push the air towards the GPUs. I just wanted to thank you for the schematics for it. It was a cool project to build. Note: I swapped the screws to rivets, where possible. It's much easier, even if I had to drill the holes.
a faster way to open your startup folder would be win+r keys, in run box type shell:startup, this opens up your startup folder without having to manually navigate to it.. ;)
very cool. agreed @5:20 It would stress me out to never know when an app tries to run in admin though. you can also just type UAC in the search, you'll go to the user control directly. Hey seb, do you have any experience with XMrig in hiveOS ? never know ! would have a question for you !
