Thanks to this video, I discovered this album and holy shit, I love it. It's definitely become one of those, "How did I miss THIS?" kind of albums for me.
Thank you for talking about Dylan Carlson, he's such a fresh inspiration to me... I would have used a compressor pedal too, but you nailed it! congratulations and I hope you can keep on covering Earth songs, I think more people should listen to Earth
Beautiful! So simple, yet so effective. "His teeth did brightly shine" is even simpler and equally mesmerising. Also love "Sigil of Brass" as kind of an intro to it. Anyways: more Earth on your channel plssss!
Dylan was using a MXR Shin Juku Drive for a while before switching to a Jessup D-style preamp pedal. Absolutely amazed by the use of a Dumble style tone in drone.
That's the coolest looking tele ever , great job and now I'm going to have to check out Earth. I've heard of Earthless but not them , thanks for the lesson and turning me onto a new band brother!👍✌️🤘
Yeah got that too! Also, one of the cool things with Earth is that the way they're put together means that you can kinda put together your own arrangements of them, just play the individual riffs in whatever order you like. A loop pedal works well with this too.
Thanks for the lesson Steve, love this track! Just put an emg T set in my squier, think this'll be the first song I learn with it. Is this woodbine a sneak peek of the other woodrite model you've mentioned in recent livestreams?
Considering that I now live in the African bush (I'm an American who moved to Kenya), I'm going to now be looking at skulls to see if there is indeed any honey being made inside. 😆 Now I have to check this album out while I do that very thing.
hi i am an estranged guitarist of sorts, used to play thrash- not well but, now into the slower stuff i have higher end esps at home but currently abroad with just a squier can it play doom. i think its a good quality one- 40th anniversary edition but im guessing no.... thanks
@@DoesItDoom thank you brother! I prefer to pay all at once because I was an idiot kid with my first credit card and ever since I’ve been super careful with trying not to owe money. Things can come up in life and cause major setbacks, at least for someone like me who doesn’t have much. I will own one of those guitars though. Sooner or later. Love your videos man! I want like all your pedals too. Just gotta build up more scratch.

How many Earth tunes do you have on your patreon channel? Guitar Bass and Drums?

So awesome! Enjoy.
One of the greatest songs ever written IMO
Incredible tune and album.
I saw Dylan open for Sleep. He had a butterscotch Tele and a Fender Amp. It was the filthiest tone I’ve ever heard.

That guitar is siiick! Love teles for doom.
Definitely!

that guitar is so sick. would 10000% buy that
It really is. 🤘🏻

Saw that as I was looking through pics of his board. Pretty cool.
Nice to see a video of a quieter side of the genre . More please
Glad you liked it! Anything in particular you’d like to see?
@@DoesItDoom some Bohren un der Club of Gore Rhodes parts 😂
classic and unique western desert psych record. saw Earth live in JC last year and it was unbelievable.... he actually played this song and it killed.
I love the way the clean tone is a little bit dirty. Sounds really cool. I’ve always been a Gibson Les Paul fan, but this guitar is gorgeous!
The Uni-vibe tends to add a slight grittiness to the tone. I have never actually owned a Telecaster or a Firebird, but this thing is killer.
I love the big headstock ! So much tone ! Like an old strat.
no way you played this. this is co cool thank you
Was a super fun one.
One of the greatest albums of all time.
What a lovely surprise!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great lesson, I use this as one of my warmups now
Nice. So fun to play.
That guitar is made for you ! I love when you use the showman in your videos . Yet again great video .
Thanks dude. The guitar is amazing. Love that old DSR!
The best.
YOU THE MAN.....THANKS DUDE.
GREAT AS ALWAYS.👹
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool lesson Steve!!!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks, Chris! Really enjoyed this one.
Beautiful
absolutely wonderful
Thank you very much!!!! I really needed this ⚡
Glad it was helpful!
Dylan Carlson tele clean stuff dooms harder than some doom bands out there. Earth doesn't just make albums, they're soundtracks to life
This and the Warlord are my dream guitars! 🎸
That's the coolest looking tele ever , great job and now I'm going to have to check out Earth. I've heard of Earthless but not them , thanks for the lesson and turning me onto a new band brother!👍✌️🤘
Enjoy!
Earth albums pre-Pentastar are super low-end drone. The albums after Pentastar are a lot cleaner. Just a heads up. 👍🏻
@@mikequinlivan8842 Thanks bro ✌️🤘
Great lesson. And I want that guitar.
Thanks, Max. It is a killer guitar.
Amazing videos. Your effort and production values have been increasing with every video. Keep up the great work.
Dude love that
Amazing tune! So fun.
Great choice. Thanks a lot. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome song, and awesome lesson. Thanks so much!
Glad you liked the lesson, man. Amazing song for sure.
MORE CLASSIC EARTH STUFF🤘🏻
I've been chasing the phase/vibe sound from their Hex record for a long time. I'm pretty sure it's a Phase 90, but was curious how close this can get?
Best album
Ever see the video of him playing this on a row boat in the water?
That guitar is fucking insane
Such a cool design. Really fun to play.
That is a sick looking guitar... is this a secret tease of a new woodrite model?
🧐🧐… it is such a killer guitar. Have been playing it a ton since I picked it up.
Amazing! Not enough Earth lessons (can't think of any to be honest).
I also have one for Seven Angels. This was really fun to put together.
Yeah got that too! Also, one of the cool things with Earth is that the way they're put together means that you can kinda put together your own arrangements of them, just play the individual riffs in whatever order you like. A loop pedal works well with this too.

Amazing track. Hope the lesson helps! As far as a Woodrite Telebird goes, I guess we’ll have to wait and find out!
Your hair is looking better every video 🤘
Did you make the video with this bass? I can't find it. Thanks for the link
With the bass track you mean? Or lesson? There is only this guitar lesson video.
Beautiful guitar! I would have reversed the headstock though 🖤
Man I love the headstock but a reverse would be cool as well.

Please do "Black Acid Dreams" by Warhorse
Hey man, that guitar is pretty fancy. But not too fancy. Seriously looking good though,
I’m right there with you on that description. It’s killer.
Univibe getting into bridge of sighs territory!
When did you get that gtr??!
About 6 weeks ago I guess. Have kept it under wraps til now.
@@DoesItDoom it’s fucking sick!
COULD YOU DO SOME SUNN?
Have done several. Checkout the channel!
Man how many guitars and amps do you own? Have you done a video tour of the lot?
Depends if you count my guitar company or not… 😅. I have too many.
@@DoesItDoom Man I'd love to see a rundown of your personal collection (not including your company's stock). You seem to have a killer bunch of gear.
@@DoesItDoomNever too many although my wife would disagree with me 🤣✌️
How to play balloon knot by -(16)-?
I want one of your Woodrite guitars sooo bad! I start my new job Saturday. Please let there be one available when I can get $1,500.
Awesome man! We offer PayPal Pay Later and Pay in 4 on the website along with Affirm in the Woodrite Reverb shop if that helps at all.
