I agree 100% about preferring they sing in Japanese. Several people have complained they don't like Babymetal because they don't understand what they are saying. For me, not understanding the lyrics is not only ok, I prefer it that way. The voice is another musical instrument and Su-Metal plays that instrument beautifully.

Agreed. Personally, I'd be royally disappointed if I went to a show and they performed the english variants of some of the songs. It's fine when there's English sprinkled in like here, but when it's a full-English translation of an originally Japanese song... please for the love of God no.

They have always mixed in english. All Japanese bands do basically lol.
English is an international language, so if you are known and liked by fans all over the world it is not surprising. But being known and liked by a language that you don't understand is extraordinary. Need charisma and something unusual for that. I can speak English and Japanese, and in my opinion Babymetal fits their language better. Music is not only about lyrics, but also feelings. Because music is a universal language.
If you are concerned about language then Babymetal is not for you.
This video made this 50+yr old drummer singer have a tear or two well up in my eyes when I saw this. I'd all ready seen and had been a fan for several months before seeing this. Great reaction sir.

I am also a rock drummer at 55years in age. I completly have the same reaction every time I watch BABYMETAL !! Love it . Totaly AWESOME!!!!!!! Big PROPS to their KOMI drummer!!
_The One_ is a special instance with a very intrinsic reason for not being all in Japanese. It's an international love letter to The One (their fans, with BabyMetal being at the core), supporting BabyMetal despite any language barrier, and even overcoming the language barrier, singing along phonetically even if they don't know Japanese. It's a ballad of unity for their fans everywhere, and a beautiful tribute of recognition. :)
Yui and Moa's background vocals are the phrase "One for all, all for One"
The performance of _The One_ in this video was at Yokohama Arena. The _Road of Resistance_ video, however, was at Saitama Super Arena. Interesting, though, If I'm not mistaken, I think I recognize some choreography from _Road of Resistance_ in certain parts of _The One_ video.
@0okamino Some of the footage from the first night at Yokohama Arena is definitely from 'Road of Resistance'.
I guess that looks more dynamic than footage on stage from 'The ONE'. : )

the fanbase is called "The One" and the song is for the fans, they wanted to show some appreciation for the fans who learned japanese just to sing along with them, so they made a english track to do the same (this is the version on the japanese release from metal resistance, the international release has a full english version, which is performed ever since, even in japan)

After all these years Headbanger is still the first song in the playlist my daughter and I listen to. The rest of the list changes, but Headbanger never gets old.

Can you imagine what it feels like to float over the heads of 26.000 loving fans reaching out to? I cannot, but I'm sure it's f***ing great! Whenever I watch this video, I can't help but feel proud of the girls for their achievements Yes, many of us do have those fatherly / motherly feelings for them, it's remarkable and admittedly a bit strange, but it's part of what makes them so special. It makes me really happy, they deserve it!

Good reaction, thank you. The One is the name of the official fan club for Babymetal. This song is dedicated to the fans, which is rare to see from any band. Babymetal loves their fans and they know their fans love them. I agree that Headbanger should be next, it's one of my personal favorites. I would suggest Distortion official, it is an early release from the upcoming Metal Galaxy album that drops in October. I suggest the official video because it is an excellent video, very interesting and professional. Another great song coming on the new album is Kagerou (tattoo). So there's some brand new material to review so that you can see where Babymetal is headed in the future not just where they have been. I know it might take a while for you to get to all of these but I believe you will like them. Thanks again.

There is a group in Korea that every year on their anniversary they put out a new song dedicate to their fans. Many groups/bands do that in Japan/Korea...

best ballad is No Rain No Rainbow from legend S in Hiroshima 2017. last time mikio played with them. so much emotion from her voice. and like others have said akatsuki unfinished version also. so much emotion.
It's a bigger copyright problem, need to use some precautions or choose Budokan.
This is more of a Stadium Rock Ballad than anything. As others have said, its a tribute from Babymetal to their Fans, whom they call 'The One'.
To more closely meet your criteria of a Su solo ballad, you should have received the request for 'No Rain, No Rainbow' from the 'Legend S' Concert, or 'Rondo of Nightmare'. Both very well sung and produced.

The video has footage from two back-to-back shows at Yokohama Arena on December 12th & 13th, the final dates of the 2015 BABYMETAL World Tour.
The first night they debuted the song, the second night they flew over the audience.
It has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. (Part Japanese, part English).
The international release of the album has an entirely English version.
The video for 'Road of Resistance' was filmed in January 2015 at Saitama Super Arena (SSA).

Thank you for reacting. I look forward to more. Glad you got to a 1000. That is what is also a bit intriguing about Babymetal, these little girls in front of such large crowds. You might think how do they do it. Aren't they nervous, etc. Well, yeah, like anyone some nerves of things not going as planned are healthy. But especially Suzuka/Su-metal thinking seems to be the complete opposite: the bigger the crowd the better ! :-) She has some inborn will to perform and possible control crowds.
Some say the stage is inspired by the Iron Maiden Powerslave album tour, you might know it.
I agree, the Japanese is actually better than English. Not that I think the song is bad and I don't mind getting a thank you from Babymetal. But the song is a bit repetitive honestly.

those songs highlight the power of Suzuka vocals in live setting, where you can hear clean vocals, good controls on the highs and lows and strong stage presence when she is alone without the other girls.

Japanese version is better imo
You need to try headbanger but the legend M version from like 2019. Moa, one of the dancers, gets to sing at the end because it was her birthday. They’ve done stuff like that before on their birthdays. It’s pretty neat. You don’t have to make a video but it’s just cool to hear someone else sing it.

Please react to Onedari Daisakusen? This is a bangin song, driving guitars, solid drumming and is very different from the BabyMetal songs you’ve already reacted to. It’s the cutest one of all. I think people will enjoy your reactions to this one. The band keeps their foot on the gas the whole song. Here are some reasons why to review this song;
1. Lead singer SuMetal doesn’t sing in this one. This song features the backup singers YuiMetal and MoaMetal. They are called ‘Black BabyMetal’ when it just them two. (The mythology is that these two ate chocolate, event though its forbidden by the Fox God, and became little demons.) They look adorable, but they’re naughty little girls.
2. The songs kicks ass, and has a little hip hop flavor, ala Limp Biscuit.
3. This would be a good one to read the English translation before you watch it so you’ll know that even though what you’re seeing is super cute, it’s all about how they use their charms to manipulate their father to get whatever they want. This is Daddy’s little girl combined with a gold digger. They sing about all the tactics they use on him. Onedari Daisakusen translates to ‘Beg Father-for-it Operation.’
