- Mrs Margaret Greville, a close friend of the British royal family, left her valuable jewelry collection to them through her will. She had no children, and her close relationship with Queen Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother) led her to inherit the collection. After Queen Elizabeth's passing, the collection was passed down to Queen Elizabeth II. This inheritance added to the British Royal Family's impressive jewelry collection, and some of these pieces have been worn by various members of the family on important occasions.

Alot of diamond in that collection. Beautiful!❤️
Yes so much bling bling 😉😊
Dame Margaret Greville was close friends with the queen mother she left her whole collection to her. They arrived in a metal trunk.
I o9
Lucky free loaders..the royal looters family
Thank you for explaining why the Queen Mother inherited the tiaras and fabulous jewelry.
Another piece was the emerald cut diamond and baguette ring that Charles gave Camilla when they became engaged it was previously worn by queen elizabeth the queen mother at least I thought it was from the Greville collection amazing video btw
The Queen Mother loved her jewelry
Thank you jaydee❤❤❤
Welcome😊
Mrs. Greville doesnt want small jewels! hehe
Poor jewelry worn by a Rottweiler I love animals I have Three German Sheperds so adorable named Cartier, Boucheron and Bvlgari
The first version of the first tiara was amaziiing, so sad that they changed it.
Mrs Greville had great taste in jewelry. Interesting how it gets around the royal family.
I do hope we see the Burmese ruby tiara paired with the festoon necklace being worn by The Princess of Wales in the future.
VERY GENEROUS MRS GREVILLE ! THE CHANDELIER EARINGS AND THE EMERALD NECKLACE ARE
UNIQUE !
I was wondering what the relationship was!
@@margaretsharp2464 i think it's because she doesn't have children to inherit her collection and the jewels are better off with the care of the royal family than to be auctioned of sold to other people.
She was close friends with the Queen Mother Elizabeth.
Mrs Greville was an amazing society hostess and a best friend of the Queen mother.
If you can visit her estate , Polsdon Lacey,
You will be fascinated by her other collections and the history of her life.
I go every year,
How lovely.
All the Royal jewellery looks so lovely and brilliant thanks so much for sharing with us. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for sharing, lucky for the British royal family to enjoy the generosity of Mrs. Margaret Grenville. I love her collection they are indeed amazing! Stay well, Jaydee. Enjoy the rest of summer.
I love the emerald one worn by Princess Eugenie, she looked so lovely.
Oh my...all those diamonds. I guess it's good to be queen.
THE DIAMOND TIARA @2:17 IS IN THE DESIGN OF GINKO LEAVES.
Ok, if I have to pick, the Chandelier Earrings, and the Ruby and Diamond necklace. Especially as worn by princess Catherine. And Queen Camilla really rocks those big pieces.
To be quite Blunt when the so-called Queen consult is wearing any amount of jewellery little worries remind me of an old fashioned expression mutton dressed as scrag end😮
@stuartashbourne-martin9629 Queen Consult? (who that?) Queen Camilla looks beautiful for a woman of her age and can really wear the larger tiaras that would totally overwhelm any other Royal lady. As to "mutton dressed as scrag end," - it takes one to know one. I could say that I bet you are a fan of sly Di, who sh*gg*d her way around the Home Counties, long before Charles was unfaithful, but that would be as unkind as your comment about Queen Camilla. Diana has been dead for a quarter of a century. Let her rest in peace
@@stuartashbourne-martin9629 well said
The first version of the Honey Comb is so pretty, those spikey bits removes the "Halo/Kokoshnik" effect :(
I wonder who will get what now? Does it all go to Camilla or will some go down to Princess Catherine
No person will get them, Queen Camilla and Princess Catherine will wear them as part of the Royal collection, William's children when they are older will use them.... handed down again and again.
A fantastic collection, and all from beer!
Fabulous jewels the QUEEN AND QUEEN MOTHER were very lucky to have these fine jewels given to them I only wish we sore more of them.
The jewelry looks rather vulgar on Camilla.
Agree, because those big tiaras ok foolish on that poofy big hair
Not as vulgar as your comment. God Bless Queen Camilla.
How did the british royals inherited these items from that lady ?
Hi!!!!! She is a close friend of the British royal family, left her valuable jewelry collection to them through her will. Mrs Greville willed those jewels to the, then, Queen. She died in the early part of WWII so it took a long time before Queen Elizabeth (George VI’s consort) wore some of the jewels in public.
That lady got them from russian last czar smuggled out
A lot of the British aristocracy whose families have these wonderful pieces, will them to the Royal Family and that way they do not have to pay inheritance taxes on them.
Dumb question who is Mrs. GIRMLA?
Mistress Camilla
❤
Putting crown on Camilla is a joke
No. You are the joke. God Bless Queen Camilla.
