really interesting and informative, but I'm getting confused as to how you know when to use a minor or major chord - obviously by ear you can hear the difference , but if I'm trying to follow circle rule I'm getting lost at the 3:08 portion. I understand that you start in C minor but when you break circle at D major that's where I really lose you. I lose you also when you say you're starting second half of song in G and then go to the 2nd and you play it A minor so i'm getting confused by how you decide whats major or minor. Any thoughts?

crazy how you had classical and jazz piano training but you never were taught the formulas.. doesn't make sense that's like the first thing they teach you in jazz
My problem...or one of them. I cannot play much by ear. I can play percussion by ear like its no ones business. I can learn anything by ear like that. But when it comes to piano....only some.
