I ordered a Ferro 1/2 pocket Kangaroo pouch and threw it into the admin pouch. I also bought one and slipped it in between the front flap and the carrier itself. Along with another one in front of the magazine pouches. I also went with the 7.62/.308 elastic mag pouches and bought Esstac thermold inserts. It allows me to run AK mags, AR-10 PMags along with AR-15 PMags and they lock fairly securely. My biggest concern was the 5.56 mags possibly falling out, so far so good, I haven't had any issues. I'd say my biggest issue as of right now is that my AR-10 PMags are fairly stiff and difficult to get in and out of the mag pouches. Especially once you get all 3 in there, once you get 1 out then it becomes increasingly easier. I also have a double pistol mag pouches tucked into the front flap with Esstac thermold inserts, it makes it easier to run whatever magazine that you want. I've ran 1911 mags, 9mm Glock mags (i.e. 17,19,19X/45) and Glock 20/21 mags (which are also fairly stiff to get out. I really wish that the DOPE front flap had that 4 way stretch material to allow it to flex a little bit more.
Good info. This is the exact reason for the quick change flaps though. Individual setups for specific load outs. Granted, it basically doubles the cost. There’s never a 100% solution.
Excellent review! I have the slickster now and really like it but I'm looking for something with more capability. Would you choose the fcpcv5, lv119, or jpc 2.0?
Good review. Velocity systems scarab is a great set up. So is the spiritus overt, if you can get one. Both have better stitching for wear and tear in my experience.
Seems to be a nice carrier, but I wonder how all this stretch material everyone's gone so loco over lately will stand the test of time. Especially everyone that just wants a carrier for worst case scenarios. I've seen what the elastic in socks & boxers look like after storage for decent periods of time. Just a random thought that keeps me from falling too hard for this new Ultra high speed kit...
We're way late on this response, sorry for that, but you bring up some valid concerns. elastic will always wear out over time. The benefit it creates is the reduction in bulk, everything fits very snuggly. Even with the elastic, you're looking at years of use before it wears out. There are no perfect solutions for anything in this world. Equipment like this is considered expendable, sooner or later it will need to be replaced.
no offense but i find it interesting you skipped showing the installation of the female cobra buckle attaching into the front bag flap which is what im having extreme difficulty installing and it seems like no one reviewing this plate carrier wants to talk about, you have to have extreme gripping and prying power to get the flap through the female kobra's opening.
None so far, it's been raining all week and I've been rolling in the mud with it. That is an inherent problem with velcro though, regardless of manufacturer. Mud will make velcro not stick to itself, but this is also not a problem if the hook is already attached to the loop side before it gets muddy. Remember, there are only a few manufacturers for all of the components that get used in all of your tactical equipment, so companies like Ferro, Crye, Spiritus, etc. are all just buying the same materials and sewing them together at their facilities.
@@ConditionOneGroup Thanks for the response and clarification. This was something that had me worried. But I do plan to help the straps covered so I should be fine. Now I just need to find a large multicam set in stock haha
@@88kar88 Ferro sells the covers for the shoulder straps (as I mention in the video, they should come with the carrier but oh well). I would recommend the normal ones and not the padded ones which are pretty much just 'sock' made from 4 way stretch tweave. I've never seen a need for a ton of padding on the shoulder straps anyways but the padded ones they offer are really large.
@@ConditionOneGroup excellent advice i plan on doing that. And I agree. Ive had two overly padded PCs, including the (lord forgive me) 5.11 tactec. No more. I am aiming for the FC.
I’m running the socks with a pair of Qore Icevents and it’s the best. The icevents add an extra layer of security to the Velcro on the shoulder straps while relieving some stress on my shoulder.
what size did you purchase ? I have medium 7.62 plates in My service iotv. I’m not a big dude 175lbs 5’7. I was wondering what size I should go with, any advice would help !
since you mention spalling coating I assume you got Ar500 plates. don't do that. Hesco 4401s are 165$ a plate and they're lvl 4 ceramic, which is better in literally every possible way. sell the steel garbage and get those
any velcro cummerbund will work, as long as is velcros to the back and front you should be good, they sell an elastic cummerbund which is just velcro aswell
Any cummerbund that uses velcro attachment should be fine. Ferro makes different variants as well but we prefer the structured types to help distribute the load.
@@slewd6480 I actually did I ended up lubricating the strap with clear wire pulling lubricant and got it to poke out the buckle about a 1/4” and then used some vise grips pull the rest hope it helps
Great review, you actually showed everything into detail. Instead of a lot of other videos out here. 👏🏽
The best plate carrier I have owned by far.
It's definitely an amazing carrier.
i know I am kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Bryan Kristian i would suggest Flixzone. You can find it on google :)
@Leonard Nehemiah yup, I've been using FlixZone for since march myself =)
@Leonard Nehemiah Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it !
Great video. Just got my FCPC today. Had no idea how to attach the straps on the cobra buckle and o-ring. Thanks to your video, we're good to go.
Great review Dave. Looking forward to taking some more training.
Great review and the first on the interweb. Thanks.
Thank you!

I just struggled through this whole setup. Needed my multitool(the pliers) to get it all together. Really wish i found this video before I started.
It definitely takes some finesse at some parts.
Getting the shoulder straps onto the front plate bag was a real pain in the ass
@@tylernguyen7891 Definitely the hardest past. Not a lot of room to work in that admin pouch.
I sort of just turned it inside out and used pliers for the front straps

So how does the velcro on the shoulders hold up? I heard of Ferros having problems when they get dirty or muddy. Any failures?

How is this compared to the Velocity scarab?
In your opinion how does this compare to Crye JPC 2.0?
They are similar. There are things I prefer about both carriers. I do prefer the FCPC over the JPC 2.0 though. Can't go wrong either way though.

Vinchye Paciano the size of the carrier depends on the size of your plates. So with medium sized plates (10”x12”) you’d want a medium plate carrier.

Look at axl for a zipper admin
Have one installed, we're big fans of AXL
For reference was this the large or medium?
The size is gonna depend on the size of your plates. M is up to 10.5 x 12.5 i think
Is there a way to attach the ADAPT 3 cummerbund to a JPC 2.0?
Im pretty sure you cant, the cummberbund in the jpc is propietary
The SPC cummerbund uses the same material, the SPC is very similar to the JPC 2.0
Is this a size medium or large?
Medium. Carrier is based of the plate sizes, 10x12 is the most common size.
Will the hesco 4800 plates fit with this?
It should
how to choose between fcpc and spc?
Can't go wrong with either. Pros and cons to both.
