Absolutely *amazing* rods for the money. The green one is my favorite rod.

Brought Lidl’s telescopic pike rod reel combo last year £24.99, great rod certainly for the amount of pike perch fish that I do. Also be good for lure fishing at the coast when I get around to it. So don’t always need the bigger brand names and prices.

So much more fun can be had with one of these I got for a fiver than just wastin time and thoughts on the rod reel line ect. These are good because they're just so much more simple and easy. I hope I catch loads on mine

I tried my thinner 10ft carp rod doesn’t cast that far but lidl sell a 10ft rod too tried that theyre thicker and more rigid and it cast well over 50 yards

Yea a rod with a stiffer tip or higher test curve should be able to cast greater distances.

With fishing tackle so expensive it's refreshing to see someone reviewing the lower end stuff. You don't need much or to spend alot, to get out fishing...think we all forget that.
Picked up one of the orange ones from the bargain bucket for £5. Fits in my backpack and had a long walk to some forgotten ponds...caught loads of roach and rudd on a simple float set up. Really enjoyable day, no issues whatsoever with the rod...far better than i expected.

Thank you 👍🏻 I agree it's not all about the expensive gear. You can catch fish on budget tackle. £5 sounds like a great bargain! 😊

Mate I got the same for a fiver too. After buying so much expensive gear, I just thought might as well just give it a nice simple go

🤞I can grab one tomorrow I've got silly amounts of money in rods etc yet I have good memories of catching 100s of fish on a rod that I paid £1 for at the £shop

Tackle should only be sold in authorised shops and licence shown before being sold to people stop fish poaching

@ markfoster how will that stop poaching ,silly comment tbh...😂

@@adamroots3429 Tbh no-one in authorised shops has ever asked me to show a licence unless I've gone there to purchase a day permit. No tackle shop on the internet ever asks for proof either and I would think their sales of travel rods far exceed those of Lidl stores.

Crazy comment, you can buy a license and still poach, not sure if you have thought this through at all.

Yes more regulation that's exactly what we need
