I would say to do with this with the Hardware store spray paint the unenlightened folks like to use, these Hobby cans have a fine spray nozzle compared to the coarse spray nozzles on regular style spray paint. You do good here but Hobby paint will always tend to come out better over that plastic furniture stuff. Great video! I always pull off the spray nozzles on Tamiya cans when they empty and decanted (There's always a lot left over when the propellant runs out). You can fit them onto some store bought brands and get a finer spray pattern.

Yeah thats true but Im trying to remove the common frustrations from painting models. Using Tamiya and testors is straight forward, hardware stores have alot of different brands and thats where is gets confusing and can easily be mixmatch and most end up with bad reactions. But i will make a video with those cans one day to help others also, thanks for your feedback

A master at work! In the auto paint world, the layer clear on top of the pearl is called inercoat. It is a flat clear. Then the next layer is the custom graphics designs.

Thanks but this is just spray can tutorial, i explain in part 1 that im trying to mimic real painting using cans for those who don’t have a airbrush setup. I actually paint with real car urethane’s from tropical glitz. I do use intercoat to lock in my patterns or to shoot flakes with, then I shoot clear over then wet sand it to flatten it out. Check out my latest video. The process is exact as a real car.

Thanks for the tips on using rattle cans. Been just doing one coat of primer& one for final paint coat. No clear. Going to do everything you did. Thanks again

No problem, I’ll be dropping more parts to this paint series soon. Good luck

Thanks for sharing, I have a few models from the 1960s I would hate to ruin them by spraying the wrong paint on them.
I kinda remember year's ago I sprayed some kinda paint out of a spray can and it melted the model?
I was going to use RUSTOLUM I guess I'll try it on a tester part first. Or brake down and buy some model paint.
I do have a brand new air brush guns that were giving to me that I don't even know how to operate? The only way to know is to try and paint something with it.

Thanks for the comment, yes you can use rustoleum . What matters is just make sure you wait between coats and spray each coat light to medium. Final drying might take longer but give a it good 2 days to dry. Now if you shoot clear over your color just make sure it’s the same brand and line of cans. Good luck

Yeah sucks you had that issue, spray cans eliminate the hassle. Regardless the outcome is still nice using either once you have it down

Man looks like your booth isn't working very good overspray is going out not being drawn in.

Lol, yeah it’s not working right . It still draws air in otherwise the filter would’ve be clean. Either way I still come out with show winning paint jobs . The drawback is it stinks up the garage then I need to open the garage door and let it air out. Plus I piss off the family with the smell, The air flow is being squeezed at the end of the tube and not letting it air out proper , I’ll need to make a mod and fix it. Thanks for noticing, you know your stuff.

Besides the spray booth problem spray cans are the best way to go. Airbrushing takes too long and the compressor gets too hot. Although Tamiya spray laquers go on nice they don't have enough flashy car colors like Splash and other paints. Your finish is opulent. I always polish for a higher gloss. Keep gluin' keep sprayin 'keep buidin'! 🇨🇦👍✌️🍻

I can't believe he put ten gazillion billion coasts of primer on that model. As long as it is prepped before priming a single coat of primer works as well as several coats.

Lol , by the way you don’t know how to count. You obviously don’t know how to paint based on your comment alone. If you doing only one coat that already says your putting to much the first time. Medium then medium wet at minimum. Sorry buddy but I have huge track record of success of winning. Your not going to win this argument.
