I like the fact that Mihawk is disgusted by Buggy being the first one to beg for mercy becoming an Emperor, while Luffy is caged by Nami and also begs for mercy literally the page before Buggys appearence😂

Fun fact: Luffy, Zoro and Sanji have never really had the three highest bounties in the crew at the same time.
First it was Luffy, Zoro and Robin.
Then it was Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp
Then it was Luffy, Jinbei, and Sanji
Now it's Luffy, Zoro, and Jinbei.
The only time Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji have had the highest bounties was in that period between Whole Cake Island and Onigashima, and that's only if you don't count Jinbei despite Luffy calling himself Jinbei's captain in Whole Cake. And in that scenario, Sanji's above Zoro.

Still from a narrative perspective it doesn't make sense to place Jinbei between Sanji and Zoro when they have been established as Luffys wings and therefore his number 2 and 3.
I guess it was just the counter joke to Sanji having a higher bounty than Zoro. Now Zoro got to call Sanji "Number 4".

I don't think lack of crew interactions is a function of having too many crew members, it's just that it's been a long time since Oda has put any focus on it. I was reading an article last week about how it's been over 300 chapters since Luffy and Franky have so much as exchanged a word with each other. Really hoping that future arcs are less bloated so that the straw hats can get more focus, I liked the scabbards but I miss having arcs where the Straw hats are the focal point

But compared with Yamato, Franky had a defined role in the crew, Yamato will just give power for fighting, and we just got jinbe joined, giving a new nakama will just split screen time, and the story will be diluted, we'll see a reduce on fighting quality, just take a look how oda struggled this arc to met expectations.
I mean having crew members on land is also great, it was oda saying that Yamato, Momo and scabbards will come back when they need to.

Hiyori's line (and Oden's equivalent line) never included "born to" in Japanese--you can see this if you watch the subtitled anime, which uses a more accurate translation for Oden's line: "Oden wouldn't be Oden if wasn't boiled!" An even more literal translation might be "If it wasn't boiled, it wouldn't be Oden!"
It might feel like splitting hairs, but most of the hate for Hiyori's line comes down to the idea that the Kurozumi were "born to" burn--as in, if someone has the Kurozumi name, it's everyone's job to burn them; as if there could be no such thing as an innocent Kurozumi. But just like Oden is the name of a food that's served while boiling, Kurozumi is the Japanese word for charcoal, aka wood that's been burned once already. Oden (the food) isn't Oden if it's not boiled, and charcoal isn't charcoal if it's not burned. Again, oden and charcoal aren't "born" for these purposes--you could make charcoal and then not burn it again--but *if it wasn't burned/boiled,* then it's not charcoal/oden.
Basically the original Japanese has the connotation that their deaths were fitting (but not obligatory) because of their names, while the poor English translation suggests that their deaths were *required by* their names, which has very unfortunate implications for anyone else named Kurozumi (or Oden!)

I loved Robin's bounty reaction (or lack thereof) due to the fact that it just shows that she's no longer worried about how high it gets. She's no longer the kid with a 79 Mil bounty who had to learn to not trust anyone to survive. Her calmness shows how much she knows that the crew she's a part of won't let anything happen to her, no matter how high that bounty gets.

About Sanji's bounty. Except after the events of Whole Cake Island, his bounty was always the 4th one.
After Ennies Lobby: Luffy: 300; Zoro: 120; Robin: 80; Sanji: 77
After Dressrosa: Luffy: 500; Zoro: 320; Usopp: 200; Sanji: 177
And now the same pattern after Wano.
So it is really not surprising even with the wings of the pirate king stuff. Because we always knew Luffy, Zoro, Sanji is the heart of the crew (strenght wise speaking) regardless their bounties order. This matter of surprise now is actually, just fandom quarrels running into our heads.

It's just that really, if you think about it, in THIS arc Yamato did NOT have a moment of self-reflection where he was like, "Do I really want to be 100% Oden? Or be Yamato?"
Also, Oden knew Wano inside out and then wanted to go out into the world. Yamato doesn't really know Wano that much, he hasn't shared with his people, he hasn't walked among them, he hasn't visited all the places in Wano, etc, all his life he was locked up by Kaido, so it makes total sense that he wants to know more about Wano and in doing so, he can protect Wano while Momonosuke grows stronger.

I like to think that Yamato's decision was a form of character development that is gonna be shown in a greater moment in the future. I think he stayed behind to protect wano, differently from Oden. Not protecting wano and leaving to fulfill his selfish dream was a flaw of his part, his failure, as he himself says even though he doesn't regret his decision. Yamato saw this and realized he has to do it differently (keep in mind that Yamato read Oden's journal), deviating from Oden's path and that's probably what he talked about with Luffy but cannot talk about with momo, for if that was the reason why Yamato wants to stay then Momo simply wouldn't let him. That one line from Luffy saying "I'll leave it to you now, Yamato" is a bridge open for that to be shown in the future. The way Yamato was built was almost a complete opposite from Vivi's, but although opposites, different sides of the same coin, so for the end to be the same for them would be a classic Oda move,. There's much more to it than "i just wanna do what Oden did" and it's something much more immediate than is Vivi's case. I think Yamato is gonna join very soon, it's not gonna take too long and he is gonna have a integral role along with momo/zunesha/pluton. (i wrote this comment in another occasion but i do think it fits here as well)

From the moment the Cross Guild was introduced, I was thinking Crocodile and Mihawk had the plan from the beginning to let him be the figurehead that that took all the heat. • @nairuLoki

I do think the real reason, IMO, that Oda decided to not let join Yamato is simply because of story convenience. Its been pointed a couple times how hard Oda was juggling the characters in Wano and resulted in lack of character on some of them. Marineford arc showed he can juggle it. Imo though, Wano had alot of side "main" characters, like alot more than Marineford. Hence how "disjointed", "chaotic" people feel about the act 3 part of Wano.

100% agree on the flashback idea. Luffy actually stepping up and asking Yamato whether they could look after Momo fits very well with the whole little brother vibe, especially if Luffy also said that they'd be back soon for Pluton or something along those lines. I'm mostly just hoping that a 'Return to Wano' arc is happening at some point - my tinfoil theory is that we'll get knocked down a peg and the crew will be defeated just to reset the board after the whole Joy Boy reveal, and that's what will instigate the return. That would also seems like a neat way of reintroducing the fleet - but that's just my headcanon.
If that's not the case though and they legit just left - the whole off-screen conversation is super bizarre. 😅
As for the Cross Guild chapter - I couldn't relate less 😂 I hate Buggy so much, hearing an opinion that is litearally a 180 from mine is just brilliant 😂👍
I kinda feel the failing upwards gag is a bit overdone a this point, so I'm hoping Oda subverts that at some point and Buggy actually turns out to be a real threat. (Kinda like Zoro was the first one back at Sabaody, but got lost moments later)

Ofc the StrawHats wouldnt mind doing that but as a narrative, Vivi has to add something to the crew otherwise its completely useless. Yamato for me was perfect. He was a log keeper like Oden and He could be the last recruit like Oden was for the Roger Pirates. Leaving the implications of Hiyori's line aside, I was just supremely disappointed that her biggest role in the arc was delivering a zinger to Orochi.
Was really hoping for her to take revenge into her own hands, or for her to lead Wano, or something. Instead, essentially all she did was sneak onto Onigashima, monologue at Orochi, and then become a damsel in distress for Denjiro to save. I dunno, just feels like there were a lot of missed opportunities with her character. After denjiro cut his head orochi was still alive since the sea prism came off before that, but then hyori moved denjiro aside and she burned orochi alive using fan, literally she was the one FINISHING HIM OFF?!
And there's no aside from hyori line because her line supposed to be reference to, "Oden wouldn't be oden if it wasn't boiled"
So it's "kurozumi wouldn't be kurozumi if it wasn't burned" basically a charcoal wouldn't be a charcoal if it wasn't burned. Like oden's line, there's no meaning behind it, just them choosing to be boiled and burned.
AND I SWEAR I'M SOOOO ANGRY, why some said hyori didn't do anything, like how some say momo didn't do anything, where he literally stalled the onigashima from going near flower capital and summoned flames clouds as onigashima falls.

In terms of disappointing endings in Wano, I think by necessity of the story we'll never get a real conclusion to most, if not all, of the places the Straw Hats visit. The Straw Hats leave following the immediate incident that happened, but there really has never been an addressing (that I recall) of the long term effects of the oppression or revolutions. Naomi's village was oppressed by Fishmen for years, Alabasta was embroiled in civil war, Skypeia was basically a race war - we get small epilogues, but there never really is a round up of what the nation goes through in the aftermath. Leaving Wano on a positive note doesnt discard the trauma and suffering the people endured, personally I think it's more of a short hand way to suggest that country is going to rejuvenate itself we just won't see it (at least immediately) because the adventure continues beyond it.

The biggest issues that ultimately lead to the lackluster/rushed ending of Wano:
    - Oda trying to wrap up the series, with the focus being on the last saga of the story
    - Timing film red with some chapters with shanks
    - Too many plot points built up in Wano, which if they were all to be addressed, would stretch the longest arc to date, even longer
    - Too many characters to focus on (same point as above)
There were early signs of this as well, when a lot of cool scenes that we wanted to see were off screened. Let’s hope Oda learns from this and goes all in for the last saga. It just saddens me though, as it was said by Oda himself that Wano was THE arc he’s wanted to write for so long. It’s been built up since early on.

And his country were dogs to the celestial dragons when in his mind strength dictates who has the power His entire character is explained during his flashback. I'm genuinely curious if people read his backstory or just wrote it off because it was short. Most of these questions about Kaido have answers. They just weren't explicitly stated and you gotta connect the dots a little bit. The oni stuff I have no clue. It could just be Kaido thinking himself as better than humans and making it up. His final line before being defeated I think confirms that for me. But that is one thing up for interpretation. And the purpose of saying to the alliance that they won't believe Luffy is dead until he sees his head is exactly that. They won't believe Luffy is dead until they see him dead. I don't get what needs to be explained about that. Not every single piece of dialogue has some hidden meaning behind it. The New Onigashima project is Kaido taking over Wano officially. Orochi was the shogun of Wano and Kaido stayed in Onigashima. Him slicing off the head of Orochi was the start of him fully taking over Wano and turning every citizen into slaves. Orochi kept some people free and gave the citizens some sliver of freedom. The New Onigashima project was a plan to make Wano into a pirates paradise. He explains the purpose of it in the arc. Read chapter 985 again. It's the chapter where the New Onigashima Project is introduced. And Kaido explains what his goals are in that same chapter. The pluton reveal at the end of Wano makes the chapter make even more sense. And Doflamingo is gonna ruin all the villains in One Piece in the future. He's the only villain in the entire series up to that point where we get a complete backstory and multiple chapters explaining his motivation beat for beat. You can also make the case for Hody Jones having a backstory but I think that's more of a general fisher tiger/Jinbe backstory. But Lucci, Enel, Foxy, Buggy, Magellan, Croc, Don Krieg, Kuro, Arlong had tiny or zero backstory. Doflamingo is my favorite villain because we got to know his every thought. But not having a flashback explaining every little detail is not important to me. What's important is the actions the villain takes in the arc they are the villain in. Kaido during Wano was a menace and terrifying villain. And he shows his terror through his actions in the story. Would I have loved a complete flashback for Kaido? Of course. I'll always take more One Piece. But Kaido was an amazing villain and second behind Doflamingo for me. I hope I explained my thoughts well.

There was several hints about Yamato not joining the crew, people just choose to ignore them (her DF being the guardian of Japa-, i mean Wano, being one of them). Also one thing that every straw hat member does before joining the crew is having interactions with the rest of the crew during the arc, not just after the arc is over. Yamato pretty much fails every straw hat member requirement except for having a vague dream, that doesn't even need the SH to be accomplished. People felt entitled to her joining the crew because of something Ace promised her, which is like something even Luffy said "Ace is having his own adventure and i'm having mine"
People got mad with Hyori hating the kurozumis, but she never went in some character arc about stopping the hate circle, idk what people were expecting, to her to simple forget all the pain and suffering and have no resentments toward her oppressor ? That sounds like a cop out ending that people would say is bad writing, but now they are complaining about not happening, i cant understand these people.
I loved how Law and Luffy got so pissed of with Kid taunting them, their rivalry became my favorite thing about Wano
I think we gonna have a lot of crew interactions now since we don't have a defined objective or destination, the time feels right for crew moments.
Jinbe having a higher bounty than Sanji doesn't change the fact that Zoro and Sanji are Luffy's wings, cause its not about power levels and such, its about how much support they give to Luffy, and even so, Jinbe is up there as the crew member that most helped Luffy, he got a hole on his stomach protecting Luffy from Akainu, helped him through his mental breakdown after Marineford and donated blood to him during the aftermath of fisherman island, so i feel like his position of being in the "upper circle" of the crewmates is deserved despite him being the newest member.
Something very few people noticed: Buggy's body is on ground at croc's and Mihawks feet, which implies that Mihawk did in fact tried to cut his head off.

Yamato not joining genuinely pissed me off, I was like "you've been insisting on sailing with the crew nonstop and now you are NOT JOINING?!?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?". I get the whole "Oden started by traveling around Wano so I'm starting from there too" and I have the feeling that she'll appear again near the end of the story (probably when that huge war that was promised happens and Luffy calls the whole SH fleet to fight) but it still pissed the hell out of me.
Regarding Hiyori I'd like to start with what most people seem to have missed (for what I've read), and that is that her line about the Kurozumi being born to burn (or something along those lines) wasn't *really* said by her. That's what the storyteller said to the people of Wano, we already saw her in that moment and she just kept crying in Denjiro's arms, no "cool" last line.
As for the line itself it makes sense that it is like that. The Kurozumi were already hated before (unjustifiably though), if you add to that the fact that another Kurozumi humiliated Oden, killed him and tried to kill the rest of his family and scabbards AND decided to put the people of Wano through hell for over 20 while enjoying every second of it, then yeah, obviously the people of Wano will keep hating him and his clan.
It may not feel very satisfying to have the Kozuki not acknowledge their fault on part of this whole situation but it is 100% realistic how it ended. (also agree with Hiyori not wanting to hunt down the rest of the Kurozumi if there is any. They all literally worked alongside Yamato, Kaido's son. They know very well that being related by blood doesn't make 2 people be the same person nor have the same goals)
Also Robin's new bounty reveal was my favourite part of 1058, she FINALLY got a bounty worthy of her potential danger to the world (and getting another "mom Robin spoils her son" moment is always nice).

The problem with the plays wording, is that it goes against a prior arcs conclusion. Namely Fishman Island. Fisher Tiger had too much trauma to surpress. He couldn't bring himself to move on, but what he managed to do, is to not give that hatred to the next generation. It doesn't really matter if the pun with the Kurozumi name is only meant for Orochi. The pun uses the clans name not Orochis, the same clan that was hunted down and slaugthered for the sins of it's leader, leading to this whole mess with Orochi in the first place. Ending the arc on such a terrible note for the sake of a pun is frankly a baffling decision.

An island arc where our crew is on themselves, only with the bare minium of new characeter to carry the plot. Wano, Punk Hazard, Dressora even were very much about the island, which makes sense and is good. But all the more we need not crew interaction outside of downtime (dare i say filler); during a proper arc. In my head cannon I thought he'd accidentally blow up an entire fleet of Marines, but the fact that it was literally just his crew loving him so much is just pure gold. I feel more and more strongly about Buggy becoming the actual final boss of the saga, with the parallels he draws between him and Luffy this chapter.
Even narratively I feel like it makes sense, the emphasis Oda places on himl People mention the Mihawk Marineford comment a lot still, with the 'most dangerous power on the sea' being to make people follow you and Oda is showing us just how far that power can get you. Buggy is definitely more than a comedic relief. With him Oda is making a point.

I just want to comment what hyori did in onigashima since some didn't noticed or catch these, aside her from protecting wano for many years together with denjiro, she (1)helped aiding the samurais. And when orochi planning to escape, she was there, imagine orochi probably jumped after he know his ninja lose since he will still survive so he escape then. Hyori (2)put sea prism nail, and watched kanjuro burned orochi, the two koruzumi who betrayed wano.
And then, denjiro didn't end orochi just by coming in by cutting off his head, because he was still alive since the sea prism came off. That's why next chapter, hyori moved denjiro where (3)she was the one who finished orochi, NOT denjiro. It's frustrating since most people believe denjiro is the one who killed orochi, but it was a team work of two people who are together under orochi.
In addition, I don't get why "Oden wouldn't be oden, if it wasn't boiled" changed to "Oden is burned to boiled", because hyori's line supposed to reference her father's line. It was explained that it was supposed "Kurozumi wouldn't be a kurozumi, if it wasn't burned", meaning a "charcoal wouldn't be a charcoal if it wasn't burned". It has nothing to do about generalizing hate. It just about two people choosing to be boiled and burned. And in all honesty, I don't, don't, don't understand why some can say orochi is justified for his hate, because he was given chances many many many times, by 3 kozuki family who has nothing to do with mob's execution to his family. He even has audacity to believe his grandfather didn't do wrong. He even brought wano in hell for 20 years, killing hope, robbing emotion and freedom. I'm still not over for what he did in wano, same with doflamingo but as always people forgive since it was "justified" hate. And doflamingo is a cool character :))
Yeah, Hyori was not portrayed as damsel in distressed at all! Sometimes we do alot of work since mnaga is not only words, where it will describe detailed the scenes, so we look at the panel for more understanding to the story.

Why exactly did Oda give Yamato so much focus only to off screen such a significant conversation? It really feels almost like Oda just changed his mind at the last minute. I'm not really sad that Yamato didn't join, I'm perfectly fine with how the crew is right now and I don't think we need any more members. About the Hiyori line, I think its a play on words since in japanese Kurozumi means "Black Coal", thus when Orochi burns she says "Black coal is meant to burn", Altho im completely on your side about the Wano people still carrying trauma, I feel like it would just be very sour if they just perpetuated the same cycle of hatred that made Kanjuro and Orochi into who they were in the first place, similarly to Fishman Island where they finally break the cycle of hatred, this is what i expect and hope it will happen moving forward for Wano

@6:10, I also think that’s how the off screen conversation went. I just wish Oda fleshed it out, the arc felt rushed at the end.
But in Oda we trust. I hope we do see some flashbacks in Wano revisiting some of the unresolved plot lines. I’m sure he’s saving it for a critical point of the story. Doesn’t feel like this is the last time the crew will be in Wano since the borders are still closed.

Apparently there has been a note that the story was slightly changed to make Shanks appear right when the movie dropped - this might be why the ending was quite rushed indeed.
But you're also right, there's an ancient weapon on the island - Wano will still play a role in the story at some point.

Masterfully done my Oda. I was so excited when Cross Guild was announced and I’m so satisfied with the reveal. Perfectly in character for everyone. Each character in the alliance gets the props they deserve. Mohawk’s strength of course but his desires to be left alone. Crocodile getting some much deserved respect and the criminal mastermind boss he’s always been. Dare I even say the true Yonko? And my dear Buggy. Nothing beats the gag of fail upwards unless it’s the gag of failing upwards and not wanting it. Bravo. Great video too!

on the hiyori scene I saw it more of clash to orochi as she mirrored oden's last words "kurozumi(coal) wouldn t be kurozumi if it wasn't burned", i never really interpreted it as a hate speech towards a kurozumi more of way to end this story by mirroring the last word of Oden that started it in the first place, and also this was said in the context of a play so it fits more.

I love it and notice it just now.

9:44 my issue with that line, is that 20 years ago, from what I recall it wasn’t mandated by the Kozuki’s to go after every Kurozumi but rather the citizens of Wano decided to go after them on their own. So I feel like this line, could be seen as them needing to do that again even if that’s not what Hyori would actually want

I am not convinced that Carrot is going to actually become the ruler of Zou. She was clearly not into the idea and seemed introspective when they mentioned Pedro's will. Parallel that with Yamato further reflecting on Oden's will and deciding to protect Wano. I think Carrot will reflect on Pedro's will and join the straw hats. I think Yamato not joining and Carrot joining will be a double fake out. We haven't as far as I recall been shown the exchange of sake cups to officially welcome Jimbei to the crew and I think that's because we're going to welcome him and Carrot at the same time.
Might be wishful thinking on my part. I love Carrot and her chemistry with the group and I think she has a lot of room to grow.

Regarding the Hyori thing, based on official translation it's now a case closed issue.
TCB scans made a mistranslation(which they do every once in a while) wherein Hyori talks about the entire clan. But it is confirmed by both native Japanese people and official VIZ translation that she didn't refer to the clan as a whole as the specific wordings are "Kurozumi WAS born to burn" which is in singular form and only indicates Orochi in reference to Oden's speech "Oden was meant to boil" which is a fair thing to say considering what the people of Wano went through because of Orochi.

I am with you for the Kuma thing, his actions throughout the story have been so fascinating, I just need to know his motivations and what happened to him. He is the reason the Straw hats are still together and as strong as they are due to splitting the crew up, and everything he has done seems to suggest him an ally to them (and the revolutionaries), but he is simultaneously a robot and tool of the world government (maybe I don’t know Vegapunk’s motivations either, just another layer added to the whole mystery).

Many people(especially people who dont understand japanese well) dont really get the hiyori line.
This is NOT towards the whole clan(she didnt even say Kurozumi CLAN). it was just a PUN. Similar to odens pun "born to boil". because Oden is a japanese dish that you boil.
And Kurozumi is japanese for "black charcoal" which is literally there to burn. In japanese you usually adress people by their family name. so this is 100% only directed towards Orochi and to "counterPun" Odens death. If she would have talked about the entire kurozumi clan she would have said 黒炭家(Kurozumi-KE). but she didn't. Its these details that get lost in translation.

Hiyoris words are super commonly misinterpreted by English speaking people. Her line basically is a play on what was said about oden being boiled because korozumi literally means charcoal and if you read the Japanese its way clearer that it was meant to mean he died a fitting death. It has nothing to do with his clan it has everything to do with thematics and theatric setup.

7:15 coming from the future to just say that Oda hid the "little" detail of Tama being a KUROZOMI (revealed in SBS 105, the name can be "seen" on the graves of her parents) which turns on its head the whole tone of the Kurozomi thing of the end. I wish he would make that more apparent rather than almost being an easter egg like pandaman... I hope the anime will highlight this better.

I guess I just don't understand what more you think could've happened to wrap up Wano. I mean, it's not all "happily ever after" or anything. They've already talked about how it's going to take time to rebuild. But what, do you think the Strawhats should've stayed for the entire reconstruction efforts or something? I'm sure Hiyori and everyone do still have trauma, but that's something that will take a long time to heal from. I don't quite get what you think should've happened for it to be a satisfying conclusion for our protagonist's time here... Luffy did what he set out to do, the rest is on the shoulders of the new generation now. Luffy's job is done!.. I'm sure we will revisit at some point for things like Pluton and whatnot, but I don't see them addressing Hiyori's probable trauma at that point or anything... like, what else is missing??? Seriously...

Nice review, I have a few things to add:
    ### 1
Something that I've seen literally nobody talk about with Yamato is the fact that her journey in Wano may not be just physical. There isn't that much point for her to see the sights of Wano before departing. What I really think she meant was that she needed to experience what life is like in Wano, the customs, the culture, the people, just like Oden did in his youth, and SHE specifically needs that if she wants to be Oden.
For all of this time she's been protecting Wano based on admiration from Oden, her empathy and her sense of justice, but she doesn't really know Wano. She's lived almost all of her life imprisoned in Onigashima. She doesn't know full well the value of what she is protecting right now, and she wouldn't have known how valuable it was when she had left it behind to set sail with Luffy.
I'm still dumbfounded by how her decision was shown in the manga however, and agree with you that from a narrative standpoint it's REALLY jarring.
As an addendum, anyone that says that Yamato's character arc was useless *just* because she didn't set sail with the crew in the end is completely clueless. The incredible things she did will never go away, she's always going to be a princess to me.
    ### 2
You may already know, but In the original text Luffy calls Kinemon, Momo and Yamato 'nakama' specifically, which means they HAVE joined the crew and will always be members, just like Vivi. They won't join when they set sail with him again. They already have joined. Luffy only used the word 'nakama' to refer to his crew, not to his friends or anyone else. It's a lovely detail that the translations really butchered
    ### 3
Jinbei's bounty being between Sanji's and Zoro's doesn't mean that Oda specifically is saying something and is continuing the conversation of the "wings of the pirate kings". It was Robin that dubbed Zoro and Sanji the wings of the pirate king (which they are 100%), while it was the marines that decided on the bounties.
I think Oda just wants to never have things stagnant between Sanji and Zoro, and he always wants for them to have things to argue about. This was also a chance to show Jinbei their petty way of fighting when things aren't serious, to get him introduced to the crew's dynamics, just like with Nami and Luffy at the beginning of the chapter

I would love for you to rereview the Reverie Arc, Levely Arc. There are a couple things you missed to talk about, and One thing in particular. There's a moment where we see the kings and queens at the meeting and Shirahoshi is about to be enslaved by our most hated celestial dragon, only to be saved by another celestial dragon... The same celestial dragon from Fishman Island that the queen saved all those years ago.. And, I think that its a bit surprising that you never talked about a moment like that when it meant the queens actions impacted such an evil person. I'd also love to hear you talk about the connection between this and Fishman Island, Thank you!

"I'll join your crew" is character speaking, not Oda. If Oda speaking, that character would got introduced at the beginning of the arc (or even before, like Jinbe), has an interactions with SHP, what the position in the crew, and finally fight together. Like Brook, Franky, and Jinbe recruitment arc (Also when Usopp and Sanji left the crew, we still get a 'fight together' moment)
That's always been Oda's formula to make that new member not a stranger to us.
Nami called Caesar "scum" "garbage" and told him to died, even when he has become a comedic character and help a lot. (Check SBS vol 89)
Why couldn't Hiyori do the same to Kurozomi who had taken her family away from her? Hiyori also wasn't a kind and naive character when she introduced. So..
I'm expecting Sanji and Kinemon farewell, since they both literally are the starter of Wano arc. But ok..
Since Oda love to use "from nothing to something", I think someday later, Chopper's bounty will suddenly increase high as Luffy's, or even higher. That's cause of his DF (hito-hito no mi) is actually a god type too and WG just realize that.
Ironically the guy who destined to liberate people, need to liberated from that cage. Lol
Can you imagine what Shanks will going to do with Mihawk and Crocodile if he find out how they treated his friend Buggy? It'll be like mountain bandits to Luffy.
I think this Revolutionary Army situation is the trigger to start upcoming final war.

It's quite funny when I think about the fact that half or most of the things that happened to Buggy starting from the Impel Down arc 'til the present (Cross Guild) happened because of his crew. They love him so much and are so loyal to him. While Buggy is thinking of ways on how to stay kind of lowkey while putting up a brave and strong leader front/aura/image in front of his crew (most of the time), his crew mates hype (there's a better word for this, but I can't think of it rn but it's something like that hehe) him up everytime. His notoriety grew a ton during the Marineford arc because of mostly a series of coincidences and his fellow escapees-turned-crew mates. And now he became the figurehead of cross guilds because of his crew, too. It's crazy amazing how much belief his crew mates have on him and how much crew had grown since day 1 of his appearance in One Piece. Buggy really just has that certain je ne sais quoi or maybe charisma that pulls people in.
